Had a room reserved from previous year and they rented it to someone else and didn’t let us know until the day we were supposed to arrive .
When asked why Anne made up lie’s .
Ruined our weekend for the Brighter Days Festival which we had done for years .

The unit was very clean and the bed comfortable, but the furnishings are very outdated and in need of replacement. The kitchen and bathroom are extremely basic, but do the job.  The gardens and the barbeque area are in a state of disrepair and are in need of major renovation.

Maintenance required

We spent 4 nights here and were very happy with our stay.There was a fully equipped kitchen,not modern but very serviceable.A good sized living room with comfortable armchairs and an amazing bed with goose down pillows.Very friendly hosts and a reasonable traffic makes this place 5 stars for me.

Very comfortable.

Unit was outdated with decor you would find in an op shop (framed pictures of dolls, ceramic pots with pot pourri, cane / baskets). Simply removing these would give the place a more modern feel. When we left, we got an email saying we owed $450 for stealing a doorknob. Not only did the place not have a doorknob, when we queried this we got told it was a doona and all guests had similarly been accused. Not ‘just’ our family. We were never advised whether the culprit was found but certainly didn’t appreciate the accusation. 

Average

Stayed 2 nights to go skiing at Falls Creek. Arrived late on Friday night and our unit was warm and welcoming. Good kitchen with all the basic necessities and really comfortable beds (King and 2 doubles). Had the best night's sleep ready for a big day of skiing.

Comfortable and cosy

Although the units are quite old and a little out dated, our unit was very comfortable and cosy.  The King bed was very comfortable as were the pillows.  Had the best night sleep that I've had for a long time.  It was nice and quiet, no traffic noise.  As Anne, the owner, wasn't there when we arrived, there was a little note on the board telling us our unit number and when we walked into the unit, the heater was on and the lamps on.  Very welcoming on quite a cold, grey day. Anne also make a point of catching up with us the following day which really added quite a nice personal touch. Would quite happily stay there again and would recommend.

Comfortable and Friendly

Forest Lodge Chalets are in a quiet, leafy part of Bright, a few minutes' drive from the centre of town. Staying here is not cheap, but then again Bright is a very popular and generally expensive place overall.

Each unit is self-contained with a small kitchen, and while the furnishings and decor are a little dated, the chalets are comfortable . The only issue we had was there was no obvious heating and it gets very cold at night.

The location is excellent for touring the Alpine region. Bright as a town is picturesque but can get busy, and we found the restaurants and cafes to be very expensive and often full or with limited hours, so self-catering in the kitchen was the better option.

Cosy and Friendly

Stayed at Forest Lodge Chalets for two days we absolutely enjoyed our stay very homely.
The house is clean and the beds & pillows are very comfortable and Anne were lovely welcoming host. We would happily stay here again next time!

Great place to stay

Stayed here for the Brighter Days festival. The decor is a little dated, but it's clean, the beds are comfortable, the kitchen has everything we needed, and the tv was a good size. There's a pool, and it's close to the town centre. I'd be happy to stay here again and to recommend it to others.
