When we looked at the photos on the various websites as well as the reviews of the property, we were confident that we would be satisfied booking in this motel. When booking, we were offered a cabin, which we accepted thinking it would look like a regular room. After paying nearly $170 to book the cabin, we arrived on the scene and got the nasty surprise of a container with dirty and worn furniture, a garbage full of rubbish and a completely unsanitary shower: Bits of soap on the floor, dirty glass doors, suspicious stains on these doors, hair everywhere... By this time, the reception was already closed. Horrified, we left the key in the self-contained box and went somewhere else immediately. We do not recommand at all.

Paid for a cabin and given a workers hut.
Paid and booked in after hours due to flight delays.
The cabin was in a worksite in a carpark.
I saw the front desk on check out to share my dissatisfaction. The receptionist said that she would pass it on to the owners. I have had no contact.
Very disappointed and feel ripped off. Definately not worth $199

Dirty work site hut.

Booked through booking.com. Arrive and waited for someone to turn up.  Room was upstairs and person had bad leg so asked for downstairs. Paid for room and went in.  Unit was horrible, Holes in walls and smelled. Was told other spare room also smelled so would be no good. 
Outside look bad and pile of rubbish behind office and beside drive in all in clear site. 
Takes a lot for me to be disgusted and I have stayed in some marginal places. 
Asked for refund and would be no problem we would just find something else as lady room was for was not happy staying there. 
They Flatly refused as the $220 for a tip was horrendous.  
Walked out without being repaid.   
If you have booked at this place would reconsider.  Not fit for rental.

WHAT A TIP this place is.

If you're arriving after hours, do not go to Novena Palms. After hours assistance aren't of much help either. Parents, who I booked, had to stay outside for hours only to be told to turn back because  someone already checked in using the same name. What a scam.

After hours nightmare

The pics on the website definitely don't match the motel itself.  We stayed here for the location as had an early flight out of Brisbane however it is really outdated.  One of the rooms had a really musty smell and the host did clean it again however it was still there.  The host is really lovely and the free shuttle to the airport is great but I wouldn't stay again.

Average Stay

Okay place to stay for 1 night only.  Choose it because it was close to airport otherwise would not recommend. Would not suit families as no were for children to play and be safe.  Not handy to eating places as their advertised restaurant is no longer open. Overall highly priced for amenities.

Disappointed

We arrive late to our booking, not Novena's fault so ended up pay for 2 hrs of room use. Most expensive shower I've ever had.

There is no real airport pickup service.

Rude lady, doesn't answer phone before 9am usually. 

There is no shuttle service just a rude lady in a van, too scabby to pay for proper pickup in Shuttle area. If we had arrived at our designated time of 2am we would have had to get a taxi - service only runs 7.15am - 9.30am.

Had to pay for taxi back to airport.

Had to bang on door to reception at 9am to get someone to answere.

This is a rundown awful motel miles from the airport with no shuttle service. 

Woman was rude, spoke English badly, could not understand most of what she said.

Was not helpful. 

After 2 very long flights, and 8hrs delay - this was the last straw

Rundown, rude, lies about facilities

Spent a night in layover. 

Christine was most helpful in facilitating my late check in and early check out. 

The motel is clean and facilities are satisfactory. The bed is very comfy too! 

Free shuttles services to the airport are a plus here! 

Would recommend for any business trips and/or overnighters!

Overnight in BNE

This motel is in an ideal position from the airport. Had a very welcoming greeting on arriving from the staff. Room was spotless   and well equipped. Beds comfortable. Shuttle is available to the airport. Also you can leave your car there for a very reasonable charge while away.

Excellent motel close to the airport

Walking through the door to check in we were greeted like we were old friends, lovely big smiles and very welcoming.
Was pleasantly surprised and very happy with our balcony room, quite spacious, bathroom and shower very roomy and everything extremely clean even the tiles on the balcony were very shiny and the outlook is amongst the trees, very calming. Loved the shuttle bus transfer service to the airport and the lady driver is also lovely (sorry I didnt write down her name).  The delivery service from the local Chinese Restaurant Canton Palace was fantastic, she is a gem and the food had great flavour. 
I have nothing negative to say as everything was extremely wonderful, thank you
