We had a beautiful time at Lavender Patch 🪴, a lovely 5 acre property nestled in this hills surrounded by sweet scented lavender in a peaceful location. Hosted by Warrick, he built this amazing property and shares it lovingly with guests. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. 🤗 He tended a brilliant outdoor fire 🔥 for us to warm to and provided marshmallows for our us to enjoy. Our Marri chalet was cosy and well equipped. 🛌 ☕🍴 Absolutely love this place!

Beautiful & relaxing experience @ Lavender Patch.

If I could give this place no stars I would.  The chalet was old and dusty full of bugs and spiders.  The bed was dusty and couch was filthy.  I can't believe what I paid for the room because I've had better at a backpackers.  When I made the booking it looked great but I was shocked when we arrived.  Definitely false advertising. I would never recommend this place to anyone,  avoid !.

Disgusting !

We loved this place. We had one of the single level cottages, which are readily accessible for those with mobility problems. The buildings were built by Warrick the owner, and have great character. We had a comfortable bed, and there was a second bedroom we didn't use. The kitchen was a full one, not a kitchenette, and well equipped including a full oven and gas range, plus a microwave, and a big fridge.The bathroom was spacious and everything was very clean.
It was the setting that made the place so special. You drive in along a winding track that goes past a lagoon and the lavender patch, then up to the buildings, which are set among big trees and native plants. There is a communal gazebo in the trees, walking tracks, an outdoor barbecue area.  Every evening, Warrick lit a fire in a big old drum, so you could have a happy hour around the flames.  It was so peaceful, but a very short driving to bustling Mundaring, which has all the shops and places to eat that you need. We look forward to coming back.

Hidden gem in the Perth Hills

We stayed at the lavenderpatch with our two young kids.. we would never go there again.. the owner is very rude and disrespectful.. and the cabin was dirty... but the owner when we first got there had a go at us.. we didn’t know that there wouldn’t be No phone reception which is bit annoying but his attitude was disgusting...  😡👎🏻

At the end of the day we as guests felt very uncomfortable and unwelcome 👎🏻👎🏻

Not happy guests..

I booked this place as a romantic getaway for my fiance and I. As soon as we drove in I was having second thoughts. We stayed in a chalet and the furnishings were soo old and there were spider webs with dead and alive spiders in them hanging from the rafters. After spraying and killing them we finally got to sleep about 2am. I was ready to leave there and then. The utensils were dirty and furniture dusty. It was also noisy from traffic on the main road. Worse place I have stayed in and would not recommend this place. The whole place needs a makeover. Stay at your own risk.

Friendly host always available, villa Marri is a little tired but very clean. The large wooded garden area was good for walks and the views are wonderful. The Lavendar Patch was easy to find from Mundaring. A visit to the Maundering Dam is a must.

Just one night

What a lovely place, hidden away just outside of Mundaring.

I needed somwehere to stay for a Saturday night whilst working in the area. Other options were the local pub, but it looked busy with possible live music which didn't really fit a quiet weekend away.

I understand there are B&B rooms within the main house, however these were all full so I went for one of the chalets just nearby. They have everything you need: a lovely big comfy bed with plenty of pillows, plus blankets, a two seater sofa, a dining table and chairs, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, all utensils, kettle, toaster etc. 

There was a separate en-suite with toilet, shower and vanity, plus lots of shelves and mirrors.

There was also a wardrobe and TV with several channels, however I don't think they have any pay-to-view movies or DVD players. You can play the radio through the TV if the lovely sounds of nature are not for you.

And my room (The Marri chalet I believe) also had a private outside room looking up to the gardens, nothing flash but a little piece of private space if that's important. This is not a modern city hotel room, but a lovely secluded spot away from busy life.

Whilst I didn't have time to enjoy the facilities and location as I was working, I'm planning to return for a weekend break as this is a great starting point to explore the loca area. The grounds are huge to wander around, plus there are walking trails nearby and it's only 5 minutes drive to Mundaring town and about 15 minutes to Kalamunda. 

Possibly not the cheapest at @ $150 per night, however if you were to shop on the way and cater for yourself in your chalet, I believe you could have a very reasonable weekend away. There is a Coles in Mundaring town.

There is no Vodafone reception outside of Mundaring, so rather nice if you want a quiet weekend away from the gadgets.

Also a very pleasant and helpful couple that own and run the B&B, I was offered breakfast in the house which was not advertised and there was plenty of help and advice should you need it.
