The highlights for our stay were the pool and location.
We stayed for 2 nights with our daughter in a deluxe 2 bedroom chalet.
The chalet was fairly basic, small and simple. The bed was only a double and the bathroom had zero bench space, both were annoying, otherwise it was ok. It was well equipped with bunk beds, couch, kitchen with stove top and microwave (note no oven or dishwasher).
The best features were the heated indoor pool which we spent an hour enjoying, even though the outside temperature was only 17 degrees. The location was perfect and the playground was also great.
The rates probably match what you getbut the same beach front location as some resorts that charge twice the price!

Fabulous Easter weekend - direct beach access and heated indoor pool, clean ablutions, daily coffee and bakery vans, school holiday activities for the kids and helpful staff. Thanks Kelly and the team at discovery, look forward to seeing you again next year!

Great park for family’s

We were originally booked to camp here but due to the weather called the park to see if any cabins were available. Luckily they had a safari tent available and we were able to stay out of the weather and have a comfortable night. Thesauri tent was awesome - spacious and comfortable and clean. I enjoyed the stay and would definitely recommend.

Awesome Safari Tent

I love this holiday park, but when an unfortunate incident occurred with a power outage, nobody in the park was given any option other than check out or wait and see. 

With power outage for 24 hours over Easter Sunday and chalets unlikely to be taken by new visitors, the least they could have done would be to allow the customer a choice to see whether power came back on rather than early check out.

After nearly 24 hours we had no alternative but to cut the holiday short or spend another expensive night in darkness with no shower. 

For some bizarre reason, the rude staff on the front desk didn’t seem to comprehend this, but reluctantly extended our checkout to midday. Power was still not restored and didn’t look likely, so we left. 

After begging for a refund for the last night, we were told when we left ‘don’t come back!’ Such a shame when Kelly & the other staff on site are nice & friendly as others let you down.

Great location poor service

We booked in over Christmas and I do understand that because it’s peak season that they triple their prices. I also understand about a 2 p.m. check-in time, BUT we had rung a few days before to see if we could get in a bit earlier and told we could.
Suffice to say when we got there they denied they had told us that, locked up the office for lunch and refused to take any phone calls from people who had also been told they could check in earlier. In all my days of working in the tourism industry and also being a traveller I have never come across anybody so unpleasant in reception. She refused to acknowledge the Discovery Parks membership discount, told me that they did not recognise  under the Discovery operational procedures. Simply put she was a shocker. Better parks to stay at

Terrible, terrible check in experience

1 day: 
9:30PM  A person apparently the manager working after hours was very rude with my kids he told them to get out of the TV room while they were just watching TV and playing board games.
10:30 the same person came to our site and told us in a sarcastic manner to stop the noise while we were playing board games. 

2: Day
People making a lot of noise drinking and swearing until late night  the rude guy "the Manager" was around and  he never told this people to stop the noise. We couldn’t sleep. 
Look like the rude guy was very selective on who can make noise.

3 Day
I went to reception to make a complaint about this issues they never got back to me.
I was at least waiting for an explanation about the issues.

I will never stay at this place again and neither the other 3 families that were with us.

Rude "Night Manager"

A bit overdue, but better late than never. My husband, myself and our adult daughter drove the Kombi down and stayed the week before Christmas and being ex navy were very appreciative that they still give us discount.
We stayed in a glamping tent.
We enjoyed our own little kitchen and en-suite.
The table and chairs were on the porch which was lovely, the one occasion it was too windy, we simply carried them inside.
We had a good working air con and also a television. 
Beds were comfy.
It was so nice being right next to the beach and a short walk to the indoor pool if we preferred. 
It was lovely that they still have resident ducks and their baby ducklings were more than cute. The other wildlife such as possums and goannas and kookaburras were gorgeous. 
There were 2 things that disappointed  us though these weren’t the parks fault.
Being the week before Christmas ( we departed Boxing Day ) and the park being quite full, we were in relax mode and totally unprepared for next door resorts day of construction that started at 7am. We hadn’t been informed of that so we had to go out for the day.
Also we would have loved the food vans to start coming through, it was after all already school holidays. Being able to walk out the door and get dinner for a break would have been nice.
We were thankful that our last few days saw visits from the gourmet bakery though although it wasn’t your typical everyday bakery and not cheap.
Staff were lovely, park was lovely and we can’t wait to stay again.
Our only thoughts on Improvement would  be for the reception to sell basic food items such as bread, milk, jam, sausages or bacon etc so we didn’t have to get in the car and drive down the road if we needed something, pure laziness on holiday speaking here but some places do sell these basic necessities so just a thought.

Absolutely fabulous stay

A group of 4 booked a cabin for 4 nights in march 2021 chech i and price was good and the cabin reasonable. We purchsed $120 worth of quility rump steak with the plan to have a BBQ each night in the BBQ area. This is when our plans went downhill fast, One of the two BBqs did not work and the other just got warm so we reverted to cooking Rump steak in a frypan then to find there were no proper steak knives in the drawers. In checking with other regular campers we discovered this BBq problem had been going on for some time and would explain why they were clean and for the 4 nights no one was using them the last 3 nights we spent out eating at restraurants (Stilts nearby) When I reported this to the front office they went into defence mode   I do not like being lied to paticulary when I pointed out that other campers said this was an ongoing problem and the staff acted suprised that a problem even existed. If we stay in Busselton again we will avoid the Amblin altough we have stayed there on 3 previous  times.Lift your game as others are screaming for tourists

Bring your own BBQ and steak knives

My wife and I decided to visit this park to road test our new caravan.  Check-in was very quick because most of the preliminary stuff was handled on line. I was greeted very warmly at reception and handed an envelope with a magnetic card for the boom gate and a map containing directions to my site. Amblin is not a huge park but it is well laid out, has well grassed sites with concrete pads on most sites and very clean ablution blocks and a laundry. 
The park is easily accessible to the pristine waters of Geographer Bay. Just walk across the beachfront path and you are on the white sandy beach.
There are several shopping centres nearby and it’s only a 10 minute drive to Busselton. 
I am told by semi permanent residents that the park is very popular over the school holidays and it pays to book well in advance to secure a site.
There are onsite cabins and I also have seen 2 structures for those who like ‘glamping’. 

I found it a little difficult to manoeuvre my caravan around a tight corner due to a stand of trees however by driving onto a ( fortunately) vacant site I made it around ok. My allocated site is big and roomy and the van and car are easily accommodated side by side and there is ample room to roll out the van’s awning. 

All in all We are very pleased with the park and look forward to a few more relaxing days here.

Very Nice Park

Location is amazing, literally only a few seconds walk until you are on the beautiful white sand and blue ocean. Two friends and I booked a long weekend away to stay in one of the little “beach shacks” that we’re available. 
Upon arrival my friend enquires about early check in as we had food in the car and staff at reception were incredibly unhelpful and vague.
The cabin was very basic and cramped, even if there was only two people you might find space in short supply.
We spilt some water on the ground in the cabin, upon cleaning it we discovered the cabin was INCREDIBLY FILTHY!!! Like it has not been properly cleaned in a very long time. This was very disappointing considering it cost is $150 a night.
I would stay again, only due the perfect location, but I think I would camp instead. 
However the ablution block is acceptable and bbq facilities are very good. Grass is reasonably well looked after, so presentation is nice.
