This must have been the best stay of all times. The rooms are spacious, super clean, huge bath tub, and comfort food buffet available for dinner. Very friendly and helpful trying to change rooms so that my friend and I could get adjacent rooms

Okay, I know that Covid has hit the tourism industry hard, so I'm cutting these guys some slack. 

I booked and paid for a deluxe room on their website about a month before travelling. The day we were were due to arrive, I called ahead and left a voice message saying we may be a little late arriving and asked for  late check in. A few hours later I called again as I hadn't heard from them. This time I got through and sorted it out. 

When we arrived I was asked how I booked as they didn't have a record of the booking. I said it was through their website. "ahh", the guy said "Yeah, we really haven't worked out how to use that yet". Eventually he found something to say I'd paid, but no record of when I was arriving or for how long. Once that was sorted he said the restaurant wasn't open as they hadn't had a chef since covid. 

Once we got to the room it was nice and clean. The bathroom was interesting. It had a huge spa bath with a shower over it, but to get in you have to climb over an 800mm ledge (Yes, I measured it). This was okay for me, but my very short wife struggled. To make matters worse, only one of the shower doors would open as the other caught on the oyster light and would only open a few cms. 

during the first night we were woken several times by the cries of a cat in the hallway. We didn't hear it the second night, but we did see it the second morning when it wandered out of an open room across the hall then proceeded to follow us a block and a half when we walked down the street for breakfast. I'm sure it would have followed us all they way had it not been scared off by a dog. 

When I went to check out the office was open and  I rang the desk bell several times, but no one arrived, so I left the key on the desk. 

Would I stay there again? Yes, I would. They tried.

An interesting experience

Passing through Capella and walked in to Coach Inn for overnight stay. Good price, clean and comfortable room with very welcoming and friendly staff. Good off-street parking and no traffic noise. Would definitely stay again. Thank you !!

Great overnight stay

The room sort of made up for the lack of internet  , despite all the hype about rolling out the internet in many regional areas the complete lack of internet connectivity in this day and age is unforgivable. 

The room was vert clean and great parking   down the road the pub is great

The Coach Inn has very friendly staff and great rooms.
The loaction is perfect to go to work or to look at various attractions in the Central highlands.
The rooms rates are also very reasonable and are not mining taxed that means they dont charge extra because it is near a mine

Worst place i’m ever been!

Racist people and without criteria are on charge of this motel.
I’m spend 5 months and they made me the experience horrible. Also you have to clean the room and order your room (housekeeping) for free.
The keys always are locked!! Especially at night when the reception closes and nobody can help you to unlock the keys.

Horrible Place! Avoid!!

Driving 9.5 hours from near Cairns, we had booked a twin room for my 82 year old mother and our two dogs.  We arrived to find a warm welcome not only from the family dog, but also his humans.  Knowing we had an epic drive behind us and in front of us, Kim chose to give us two adjoining rooms, for no extra cost. So very much appreciated.  And, they were doing pizza that night, we had the most enormous and delicious pizza delivered to us.  The dogs were in heaven with a grassy run out the front of the rooms.  Very comfortable, very nicely appointed, we wanted for nothing.  Thank you Kim and Co, your generosity and hospitality are unmatched.

Overnight from Cairns to Sydney

This place is one of the best motels around here, it’s got everything you need. The rooms are new, food is great and staff are the best. They’re helpful and attentive and always smile. I’ll definitely be back here next time 

Awesome place great staff

Stayed at this Hotel on our recent trip through outback Queensland, whilst the room was basic it was clean and we were only there to sleep.Staff member was lovely at reception, very Hot for this time of year and the air conditioner in the room was good in releiving the heat,  a small pool to dip the feet in was also very good.

Travelling through outback Queensland

Partner stayed here on the last leg of a drive from Melbourne to Townsville. Very friendly service, great value ($90) for a good sized, modern, queen bed room. The motel has an on-site restaurant and room service, and a pool. It's on the highway but you're more likely to be woken up by the cockatoos!
Very clean and comfortable.
