Close to a lot of attractions .
The rooms are very clean with super comfortable beds and pillows and soft linen not scratchy like some motel linens are .
Food in the restaurant was delicious,excellent service served by very friendly staff . 
The whole place has a wonderful atmosphere.
Well done to everyone involved in the smooth running of your establishment.

Comfortable establishment 

Walked out after waiting over an hour for lunch with my 96 year old mother...  Two tables who ordered after us were half way through when we left .Just a burger, schnitzel and grilled fish!! Spoke to manager Tom and received no apology or feed back. Never again , do not recommend. Never going back.

Terrible

Parents are required for supervision and control of their children not the staff completely ruined a pleasant new renovation and would be so much easier to enjoy the new mont if people are respectful of others and not just themselves 

Food was great value and enjoyed.  Noise was very unpleasant the staff are not babysitters while parents are in gambling

Booked a table 2 weeks ago in the Mont Bistro for Mother’s Day Dinner, arrived at 6 p.m. to be put on a tiny round table not even in the Bistro, 3 Adults & a 12 yr old, no way would meals fit on that
 table, we were then moved into the main bar (with a child) not happy I went back to the booking desk and they finally after some arguing put us on a table in the Bistro (there were still empty tables) we waited 1 1/2 hrs for our meals to be bought out the food was average to say the least, then didn’t bother to clean used plates away, we had to go and ask for a desert for our Granddaughter as staff didn’t even bother to ask if we wanted desert, I was really looking forward to this dinner for Mother’s Day at the new Mont Bistro, really dissatisfied. 

Poor Service Food Average

Terrible.
From  the moment we arrived and found that our table that we had booked two days previously had been given to someone else it was downhill.  We were offered a small round table away from the dining area expecting to squash three people on.  We asked to be moved and lucky us we got a high table sitting right between the mens and ladies toilets!!!!!!
Food - Pork scotch was acutally very tasty and beautifully cooked, vegetables let it down. Baked potatoes that seemed to have been cooked 6 weeks ago was also supposed to have peas, carrots and steamed beans.  Possibly six peas hidden under the mountain of frozen carrot and beans.
Friends chicken schnitzel not any better with the same vegetables.
Sons mixed grill contained chicken wings which he said tasted OK, steak not medium but more well done, dry and chewy and inedible.  Ribs that should have fallen off the bone also dry and chewy.
For a property that has just been through renovations we expected a little more than what we received.
Dont think I will rush back.


Not good

We had a comfortable one night stay here, our first night after arriving at Hobart.
Access was difficult with no obvious reception area - we had to call to discover that you had to go into the public bar to access reception.
The rooms are very plain but clean and reasonably cheap so overall good value.
No WiFi available.


Good despite the renovations

Went here for a family dinner for which it was very much fit for purpose.

Large dining room offering plenty of seating: basic but functional decor and layout.  Offers good value meals that tend to be of generous serving size. Catered for me as someone requiring a gluten free diet: I had roast of the day (pork) which came with a gluten free gravy.

Basic pub - could use an upgrade perhaps

Called in for lunch with my mum.

A great place as she has a walker and there is plenty of room.

Mum likes it has she can have a roast dinner and veggies and we can have a steak or other types of meals. 

Staff are great and parking is always terrific.

Could vary their menu from time to time.

A great meal

Had the best pork porterhouse at this pub, my mum had a scollops and always great service. 

People were in the main being safe, but still observed people not checking in.

Mum had veggie’s and I had a lovely rub and some chips 

Easy park and close to all parts of Hobart

Great food

Some of the worst food I have ever been served! Prawns pan seared in white wine turned out to be microwaved prawns in nothing. Seafood basket was basically seafood flavoured crumbs, both inedible, won’t be back!
