We booked this little local gem for a one night stay on our way to QLD from NSW.  What a great find!  The place is lovely! The rooms are huge and comfortable, we are a family of 4 but a family of 5 or 6 would fit.  They have a pool which we didn't have time to use. The view is so nice - each room has a great view of the hills and the rabbits around the property. 

Beds were comfortable, our room even had a toaster and microwave with a full size fridge. The staff are very accommodating.

We had dinner at the onsite restaurant called Moo which is only open 6 - 8pm, and it surpassed our expectations. We had 5 star restaurant quality food - chicken involtini, lamb rump and kids meals that were very generous size. Everything was so delicious and well priced. 

I left my glasses in the room and they called me right away to let me know and held on to them until I came back a few days later.

Highly recommend this local gem when you are in the Grafton area.

Delightful Local Gem

I booked this last minute and it was a very nice surprise. Easy and friendly checking in. Very comfy room which was well appointed. 
The evening meal was superb.
I highly recommend this motel and will definitely stay here whenever I'm in Grafton from now on. Great value.

Excellent stay

Very happy, staff were very friendly and loved to have a joke and a laugh.  Unit very clean no  problems at all.  Highly recommend.  Stayed there on our through and also on our home.  The area is very quite, being on the Big River Way was surprising.

Wonderful, very happy. will certainly pass the word on to our friends.

Angie is a delight to deal with. We needed a place to stay for one night (essential travel) as we were moving house in the middle of COVID-19. Thank you for staying open for us.

The place is super clean and clearly loved dearly. 

It’s dated decor but that is really part of the charm and booking direct (don’t give the big guys the commission in this climate!!!) for $110 is a bargain.

Amazingly comfortable mattress!!!

Overnight Stay

The staff, currently helping out all the firefighters in the area, worked relentlessly and despite meeting the needs of exhausted firefighters, were able to attend to our needs, the rooms were clean and beds excellent, the food was better than a homemade meal and the people were just lovely.  Jacarandas, rabbits and kangaroos to make someone from the city feel like they were in a country lodge setting, I would definitely stay again!

The best get away from the city

It has been a while but we have stayed more than once before and enjoyed reading tripadvisor reviews so booked a night on our way north - looking forward to relaxing in the restaurant after a long days drive.   Sadly it was booked out that night!!!!  But Angie had the answers  - two options!!!! She would get us a courtesy bus to a club or -  if we were happy we could have a choice of two meals to our room.  Our room was big - lovely table and chairs beside the window so we chose roast pork and it was just great!!!!!    Comfy beds, good shower, a great nights sleep for these oldies just like old times.  Had to leave early so did not make brekkie next morning.  Thanks Angie - you and Tony are running a lovely affordable place to stay.

Down memory lane!!!

Stayed here after a long day travelling with a colleague and have been raving about how good it was ever since.
At first it’s like stepping back into the motels we stayed at as kids - but then try the restaurant and we both had the best steak we’ve had in, well, a very long time. Service was fast and friendly in this family run business- added the garlic prawns to the rib eye and great got even better.
We stayed at the bar for an extra hour chatting with the owners and it was the perfect way to finish a big day.
My bed was oh so comfortable - really really comfortable, pillows perfect, the room spotlessly clean with a fabulous view of the remarkable sunset.
The shower and bathroom were also spotless with a nice mix of shampoos etc and the acid test of every accommodation place - the towels - were big and fluffy.
If you want friendly, welcoming old fashioned service with real people who care in clean, lovely surroundings and at a remarkably low tariff then stay here.
I’ll be back for sure - we left refreshed, rejuvenated and smiling at this lovely country surprise.

Absolute Fantastic

Definitely lived up to expectations. We ate with friends from Grafton at the restaurant that evening. 
Room fine... no issues at all.
Restaurant was superb food, and for the quality f the food very reasonably priced.

Travelling through and booked ahead

The motel offers great views of the Clarence valley.  The staff are friendly and the evening meals are excellent.  The pool was lovely after a hot day's work. This a very convenient stay for the business traveller.

A well located motor lodge

Just stayed one night on our way north but staff were very friendly, room was well layed out and clean. Bonus is that it has a restaurant onsite so once you’re there no need to go anywhere else. Food was yum too!
