Unclean motel and bad management! I would not pay $160 a night for this room again!management did not blink an eye when I showed them pics of our room when we opened it ,she just blamed it on new management and said have a great day !

Not good 

The impression of the place from the street is poor, but this is a substantial establishment with good, clean, sizeable rooms. It has all the usual facilities, comfortable beds and good bathroom. Plenty of parking spaces.

Booked a twin room, one bed in the room. Paid extra to make sure there would be two beds. Spoke with reception, offered another room with only one bed. Removed furniture and given roll out bed, thin mattress can feel springs underneath and my son is to long for it. Went to use toilet and dried urine on the toilet seat.

Won’t be coming back!

A classic motel in regional city with everything you need and comfortable bedding.
Quiet location and CLEAN bedding and linen. 
Easy parking of course and close to Maccas, subways and many cafes and eateries along the main street. Short 40 mins drive to Otway Tree Top and national park/ forest. 
Great new AC unit is quiet and blessing for hot summer trip!
Electric blankets provided for cooler days too.
Nothing to fault. Good stay!

Basic Affordable Motor Inn with Everything You Need at Convenient Location

Lovely place to stay. We booked late because of uncertain plans due to Covid, and the proprietors were very helpful, even juggling rooms so that we didn't have to change rooms from day to day. Many thanks.

Would stay here again

There is no denying that this is an old motel  in need of an update but the owners are gradually doing some great renovations and for us it ticked all the boxes and was better than some of the newer ones we had stayed in on our trip. 

Our room on the upstairs level was clean, well furnished and had everything we needed including a microwave.

The large bathroom had been beautifully renovated and included a bath and some excellent toiletries. Like all motels in Colac it is on the main road but traffic was no problem. We also loved the roses and other plants in the gardens.
If we ever pass through Colac again, we will definitely stay again.  

An oldy but a goody - Comfortable, specious and clean

Stopped in here on the way to Warrnambool. The room was comfortable and recently painted. But it was also very dated and probably had too much furniture for the size of the room - which made it feel crowded. 

The best part of this place was the location. Walking distance to the lake and Botanic Gardens. It’s also really close to a range of local eateries. 

We’d definitely stay here again.

The rooms could do with a modernisation but the dinner & breakfast were magnificent.
So were the staff, friendly and helpful.

The home cooked meals were magnificent. Not fancy or covered in olive oil, which seems to be a modern trend.

Location was good a easy walk into town and restaurants for dinner
Looked at the pool but didn't dare get into it, its advertised with a pool and this was the season it should be available.   The shower pressure was woeful, the table and desk were sticky, needs a good clean.  On arrival I was told to leave the key in the room on departure as the manager was tired and liked to sleep in,  it turns out that not just the manager is tired the whole complex is tired and neglected and is in desperate need of some Tender Loving Care.  One of my sheets was ripped.  Just not up to any real standard

We liked the room as it had a second bedroom, though it was on the first floor, which meant we could here all the trucks driving through the Main Street. The beds were comfy, the bathroom was ok. The pool advertised as open was closed due to an alge issue which disappointed the kids. The location was ok, a short walk to restaurants. It’s old and could do with a bit of a renovation.

It’s good for a nights sleep.
