Stayed for 3 nights found the motel to exceed my expectations. Room was clean and sanitised. Bed was comfortable. Staff and owner where very helpful and friendly. Shower was hot and great pressure. Couldn’t fault it for the price has a pool and yes they had free wifi. Will definitely recommend and stay again. Great little budget motel

Charming Motel

I've enjoyed my stay here twice now, I always feel so warmly welcomed and taken care of, the rooms have all the basics covered well and the location is very convenient, centred in a quiet area between the two main towns one street from the beach/bay, the sunsets at the beach are sublime. The rooms are clean and I will stay here again happily.

Great location and relaxing and quiet

I stayed here for three nights. I arrived early and the owner let me occupy my room around 10 am, well before the official check-in time. The owner is very friendly and a keen motorcyclist who will talk bikes for as long as you want! The Room was very good. It was clean, had good mattresses and linen. Toilet and shower area were clean and the room was maintained every day. There is a small 'back-yard' at the rear of the rooms. My room had TV, Air-con, shower, table, long bench, wardrobe, clean and plentiful linen and towels, tea & coffee making facilities with free tea and coffee, a mirror, two beds, microwave oven and a fridge. The location is excellent. It is about 4 km from the main area of Nelsons Bay, so is a very quick drive. The motel is far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. There is a good, well-kept swimming pool at the motel with table and chairs with shade umbrella. There is a small shop about 10 mins walk away, as is beach access. I highly recommend the Corlette Palms motor Inn, and at around $110 per night is most excellent value. Would definately stay here again.

Overnighting prior to a fishing trip. Staff were accommodating for a late check in.
Basic room but good price. Tea and coffee with a microwave and jug. Aircon worked ok. Don’t expect the Ritz because that’s not what you pay for.

Basic and priced accordingly 

Very easily locatable hotel. The rooms are simple but sweet. Everything is nicely put together. Courteous hotel management. Availability of Swimming pool. 
Park your car in your proximity. Free Wi-Fi.
Don't expect lavish in such a budget.

Budgeted and close to many tourist spots

Room clean & tidy but that is about it.  Toilet did not flush - had to get reception to look at it & every time I used it had to take top off cistern & lift float to flush.  No light in bathroom - just heat lamp so on a hot December day showering under a heat lamp unacceptable.  Shower curtain - not a screen.  Motel seriously needs a revamp.  Not worth paying $168.00 per night when I have stayed at Accor Hotels much more up market for less. 

Nelson Bay Motel - Needs a refurbish

Probably the cheapest accommodation in Port Stephens, this small motel in Corlette is an ideal stop for a function at The Anchorage Resort, which is just around the corner. There is a beach nearby and a children's playground area near The Anchorage. It is handy, by car, to the Salamander shopping centre and Horizons Golf Course. As for the motel, the rooms are old and a bit worn but the beds are clean and comfortable. They are equipped with fridge, tv, microwave, a/c and ceiling fans. If all you want is somewhere to put your head, give it a try.

Good at this Price

Yes the rooms were old and dated but they were clean and comfortable and cheap for a 1 night stay as most of the other accommodation in the area is expensive. It was quiet and the owner was helpful.
We walked down to the waterfront and really enjoyed it and found a beaut fish n chip takeaway.

My main complaint is that we paid $198 for one night for a room which was worth half that.  However, it provided us with a night's accommodation when it was needed while most other accommodation providers in the area insist on a two-night minimum stay which isn't always possible.
On the plus side, the room was clean (as evidenced by the strong smell of bleach) and the TV was easy to operate.  On the other hand, it was noisy!  Neighbouring units could be heard and the sound of an airconditioning unit hummed loudly all night long.  Couldn't turn on the cold tap in the bathroom.  The fridge was placed in an awkward position next to the bed with the door facing the wrong way.  Very odd.  The place is in obvious need of some money spent on it, or to be practical, it's a knockdown and rebuild!

Only If You Need To

This place is ok for a one night stay. There's nothing fancy here but the place is badly in need of an upgrade. I don't know how long the owner (who was friendly enough) has been doing this, but I suspect for too long. The air conditioner is old as is the fan which only works on two out of the three speeds. If you want to adjust the speed then you need to stand on a chair unless you are quite tall. Only one wine glass provided and there was no hot water in the morning for showering. The bathroom fan didn't work. The bedside clock wasn't on and I couldn't even find a power point to plug it in, near the bed. I think the owner simply couldn't be bothered to to put any money into the place. He has lost his drive and forgotten his job is to provide customers with the best experience he can. But I suppose you are not paying big bucks.
