Money-grabbing, greedy owners contacted us to tell us that the prices had changed and that they hoped we would "honour the price change". When I refused, they cancelled my booking and readvertised at a higher price. Is this even ethical?

Unethical owners will rip you off.

Booked through Booking.com 5 weeks before my anticipated stay. Less than 24 hours before my arrival, the Motel cancelled, telling me they had 'unforeseen circumstances'. I called but Sonya informed me that there was no room for me, before hanging up on me. I went online to find another place to stay and there was my room! Still available. For an extra 50% of the price I had reserved! Unethical! Unscrupulous! Untrustworthy!

Unreliable - don't go there.

The hotel is good for a short stay, I stayed 3 nights, it is close walk and drive to town. Bed comfy, room clean. The only negatives would be there was no smoke alarm. Another negative was I booked via booking.com and got scammed by someone impersonating the hotel I notified the owner of this but they really didn't do anything and just said it was booking com problem, although I stated that their account may have been comprised and other people who have booked via their booking com too. The staff in the reception are friendly and helpful though. 

Nice for a short stay

Large room and clean. Helpful staff. 
Parking okay, bit tight for the massive rental cars. You could ask for crockery/cutlery but were closed by 7pm when we returned with groceries so that wasn't great! No bedside lamps or empty sockets. Constantly dripping tap and broken towel rail. 

It was okay

Room is ok apart from smoke alarm removed shower leaked. Swimming pool a disgrace algae creepy crawly broken and just left in pool area surrounding overgrown and rubbish only setting was broken. Foxtel noted on sign and cable TV on website which there was non. Office not open on operating hours and phone not answered.  Manager uncontactable. Unfortunately would not recommend or return

Can't recommend

I booked this motel for my family to attend a relatives funeral.  It is nothing at all like the photos on the webpage.  It was totally disgusting   Dirty,  power points hanging from the wall, exhaust fan over the window that had to be moved to open window rubbish under beds   No cups in rooms for coffee no milk for 2 days   The owner did not get milk when asked.  rubbish all along the front of car park swimming pool filthy Cannot understand how this establishment is allowed to operate under Health regulations    I was embarrassed that I had booked this for my family.  Definetely won’t be back here again   I would suggest 
that photos are updated to reveal true images of this accomodation.

Accomodation

Similar to other recent reviewers, we were disappointed by aspects of our stay.  This motel has great potential, but the management needs a good shake up - phone is not answered; message bank full; office not open at advertised times; pot plants dead; cigarette butts and rubbish around gardens; pool was green and garden overgrown; no glasses, crockery or cutlery (apart from for coffee-making) provided, despite the room having a toaster and microwave; room bin not emptied across several days stay.  On the upside, room was spotlessly clean (I was told cleaners are outside contractors) and pleasant.  Good location, with small coffee shop over the road.

Another disappointed reviewer

We stayed in the motel for four nights during April 2022 and were extremely disappointed and angry that the motel owners were prepared to allow a motel to be available to the general public in such a rundown condition. The tariff charged was comparable to a normal well maintained motel.
During our stay it became more and more obvious that virtually no routine maintenance had been carried out for an extended period of time.
Details of a sample of the shortcomings are as follows:-
Only a dribble of water ever came out of the hand basin tap and on one occasion there was no 
water available to the units until another motel guest eventually rectified the plumbing problem, wall light hanging out of the wall suspended by exposed wires (risk of electrocution), room never serviced during our four days’ stay, no crockery or cutlery, the smoke alarm was inoperative as the battery had been removed (could result in fatalities), the pool area was overgrown with vegetation and the grounds were littered with rubbish. 
The motel manager was rarely available, even during the hours stated on the reception office door.
We could go on but we are trying to suppress the memories of our stay in this motel!

Extremely Disappointed

Stayed at this motel on the night of the 8th of May. Arrived at Motel at approx. 4.30pm to find room was still yet to have finished being cleaned & restocked. We had trouble making contact with management of the motel earlier in the day to confirm room for arrival, multiple call with no answer or return call until close to midday. Once in room that was generally clean & tidy, went to have shower to find that there was no towel rail or hook, so nowhere to hang towel. The cold water tap in shower needed to be regularly tighted so that it did not fall off. The Handbasin was regularly leaking water unless you tightened it ti within an inch of its life.On Sunday morning we required some extra items so went to office to ask, but was surprised to find that even though office hours showed open from 7.00am, at 8.30am door was locked & no one answered either knocking or phone call. Fortunately for us one of the other people staying in the motel was able to assist us with our needs. We are not likely to visit this motel again while the current management is there.

Very Disappointing Visit

We stayed there for 1 night on the 8th April. 

Did the booking through Bookings.com but had to change the number of people at the very last minute. Tried ringing them all morning but no one answered even though office hours was from 7am. The man finally rang a few hours later and gave me some lame excuse why he didn't answer the phone. When I said we had to add an extra person he even had the gall to charge me more than what Bookings.com charge. 

We arrived to our room that evening to find that the bedding configuration was wrong. no where to hang towels, water was dripping from the tap in the hand basin and no crockery or cutlery. 

The couple that manages the place lacks customer service. If you state your opening hours, make sure you are there to provide the service for your customers. It proves that you don't value your customers business as you don't bother to answer nor return phone calls.

It was our 2nd stay and will be our last. Will definitely NOT recommend this motel to anyone. Extremely disappointed 😡😡😡👎👎👎
