Lakesea Park Caravan park was one of the best for accommodation and- cleanliness- lots of things to do especially the fishing and swimming - lake on one side surfing beach on the other  - pricing is reasonable and facilities are good, on arrival you feel most welcome

Tranquil Escape

The lake side cabins are just a few metres away from the lake and you can hear the ocean. Very peaceful park and the staff were amazing. Very lovely all round. Cant wait to come back again soon. Thankyou.

This was a lovely place to stay at, it was a shame we couldn't have stayed longer, as we were upgraded to a three bedroom cabin with two bathrooms, it is a very quiet  and clean place  to stay.  The kangaroos are everywhere around the park and it was lovely to listen to the birds.   The  beach was just a small walk away. This would have been a great place to have a family reunion as there is a lot of space, unfortunatley the reunion was at another park. Another advantage to this place we were allowed to just stay for 1 night.   Annette the Manager was very welcoming and hospitable .  We would like to go back there and take our boat.

Family Reunion

This place is about 10 minutes out of town, which is great because it is so quiet and serene that you could quite possibly be 100kms from anywhere! The cabin was nice (although had some trouble with TV) and the locals (wildlife) are extremely pleasant. We had kangaroos, possums, lorikeets, currawongs, wattle birds and king parrots visit us basically on our verandah. It was also regular hearing kookaburras, black cockatoos and frogs, as well as the sea birds. The best part about this place is where it is situated. Our cabin (albatross) was right on the lake, which is great for kayaking. About 100m in the other direction is the beach, so the location is amazing. A tip for you is on the road back towards town there is a turnoff into the National Park towards North Head - take it (but make sure your car is able to handle the unmade road) for an amazing beach at the end. We found incredible shells, animal tracks and kangaroos on the beach, which connects to a lake. Check it out!

Location, location, location...

We spent 7 nights on an ensuite powered site. The park was nicely maintained, the ensuite was clean and the site had everything we needed. Each site had a wood bbq available which was great on a winter’s night (the office/shop sold firewood if needed). The location was perfect with the beach on one side and a lake on the other, although there was limited access spots to the lake for fishing. Enjoyed our stay and look forward to visiting again.

Lovely spot on South Coast

Very comfortable, spacious and level campsites. Although it was peak season and very full in the park when we visited, there was no noise at night. It’s a family oriented park with cabins on site as well, some of which have views onto the beach. Lots of bird life and kangaroos and beautiful clean amenities. 20c required for a hot shower but this is ample.

Great place to stay

We camped on a powered, ensuite site for four days. Sites are green, bindy free grass and very generous in size. Ensuite was immaculate, surprisingly big and with a lovely warm shower. The location is perfect, a short walk to the beach and the lake. Kids had a ball riding their bikes around the park, watching the kangaroos and variety of birds and watching a movie in the cinema room. The camp kitchen is clean, spacious and includes kettle, toaster, oven, fridge, tables and chairs - which was perfect on rainy days. Plenty of fun nature based activities to keep everyone happy. We saw dolphins and whales from the beach and were lucky enough to watch fluoro blue bio luminescence in the waves crashing at night. Nice, easy access to Murramurang National Park which is spectacular and a must to explore. We will definitely be back soon.

Our new favourite camping spot

Great park located between South Durras Beach and Durras Lake. We had an ensuite powered van site which was very good. We arrived late due to blown tyres bad they arranged for a late check in. We had to change sites due to van height and a tree but it was no problem for the after hours manager to help with that. Clean and well maintained grounds and amenities. There’s a little store at reception for general necessities. 
Good location for beach walks, getting away from really busy parks. Well protected from the ocean winds due to great vegetated sand dunes.

Lakesea Park South Durras

Had a two bedroom cabin on the lake side was very peaceful with lots of wild life , however a little to far out of town for me at least 10 Klm linen and cabins were very clean , only thing I couldn’t find was an iron and some egg cups other than that 3day stay was lovely 

Short Getaway

Stayed at Lakesea Park on 13 June 2020 and paid $130 total for two adults and two 14-year-olds in a private cabin with a separate main bedroom with a queen bed, two single bunk beds in the living area, kitchen, fridge, dining table, TV and heater. Bed linen and towels provided. Cabin was very clean. Toilets and showers shared in a communal block. Well located between Durras Beach and Lake Durras, about 10 minutes' drive from Bateman's Bay. Recommended and would stay there again.
