We camp every year at Durras Lake North Holiday Park - missed out last year so this year was extra special.

Peaceful, beautiful, quiet and family friendly. Love the ability to go fishing, prawning, bushwalking, and being carried along the water channels out to the sea when the lake is open. All the kids had a wonderful time and especially loved the evening movie on the outdoor big screen set up by the lovely owners Andrew and Julie. 

Love the small cafe and shop - icecreams and great coffee and a few necessities in case you run out. Enjoy having a fireplace for each site. 
The abundance of wildlife keeps things interesting - Plenty of kangaroos and the odd goanna, beautiful birds and this year we stumbled across a bandicoot family after dark as well.

Tips: Take extra money for coins for shower and firewood. Also need heavy duty pegs and decent peg hammer as the ground is quite hard in some of the sites - our regular pegs didn't cut it this time. Also a tarp over tents is a huge help if you are in an exposed site to help with heat and rain.

Durras North - Best way to relax and unwind

Very helpful owners, great relaxed, quite camp area, had a good night's sleep. Wonderful place if you like fishing, it's situated across a good fishing spot. Coin operated washing machines, dryers, showers and everything else one could need. There is also a good barbecue area for the non powered camp sites. 

Thanks for a good stay

I would not recommend camping at this holiday park. The unpowered sites were wildly overpriced and you had to pay each time you wanted to shower or unlock the toilet. The owners were super controlling and would patrol the campsites watching campers. It made us feel very unwelcome and uncomfortable. 

Overpriced and rude staff 

Stayed in one of the cabins for a bit over a week, cabin was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Owners very friendly and accomodating and serve a great coffee. We were biking, surfing and SUPing this a perfect spot for all of them, but also lovely place to just chill with friendly parrots and roos. Great value, loved it.

Beautiful spot for a relaxing break

North Durras caravan park is a very well looked after place. There customer service is so good. The rooms are very well looked after. North Durras is a beautiful peaceful place to visit. I will definitely tell others that this is a place to holiday with family.

Awesome stay at Durras Lake North Holiday Park

To say I am appalled at how this place is run by it’s management is an understatement. 
In these uncertain times of Covid where we are unavoidably at the hands of the government and their isolation and lockdown rules - this holiday park would like to say that they don’t care about their customers as much as they care about their own wages being paid. And as such will not even consider holding ones deposit and not only that - if you receive notification of isolation less than 7 days out from your booking, you have to pay it in full!! So lose all your money, and be spoken to like you are a criminal, hung up on and told you should have had travel insurance! For a weekend away at a caravan park? Unbelievable. Maybe they should be the ones putting insurances in place to cover their own business as it is certainly not a customers direct responsibility to pay their employees wages. 
And to top it off, delightful emails telling me the way I lead my life is disgusting. 
Have wasted my hard earned dollars on this place and not even set foot in there!! 
Will never ever book here, and will be sure to let people know how they treat paying customers!

Disgraceful Customer Service

Just back from three nights in this serene campground. Lyre birds, bustling fairy wrens, kangaroos, goannas & surrounded by spotted gums. If you want tranquility with no noise from other campers, no radios, no televisions, no parties then this is the place to be. Perfect for people who want a tranquil camping experience.

Tranquility

What a quiet, beautiful, unspoilt part of the South Coast North Durras is. The cabins are simple but clean and comfortable and it’s all about the National park, beach and wildlife. Ended up extending my break and will definitely be back 


Restful nature

The camping area with the lovely trees was very pretty. The beach and lagoon was ideal for families.
Room for improvement was the showers. Old is fine but mould is totally unacceptable. There was black between the tiles  and the ladies shower floors in back section were so dirty I decided not to shower for the week we were there. I just went for a swim everyday. 
Old fashion camping area shouldn’t mean dirty.

Surrounded by kangaroos (watch out not to step on the poop!), beaches, hiking, and fishing nearby...its a great place. The shared bathrooms could use some cleaning. But otherwise its great. Lots of parrots/birds too.
