My family of 5 enjoyed a short stay in the cosy and charming garden cottage. The refurbished interior was a complete surprise and provided a very comfortable stay, when we opened the door of what appears to be a tin shed. The included full cooked breakfast was hearty and beautifully presented.  Staff are very engaging and accommodating, all of the family welcomed. The gardens also a breathtaking surprise and provided peaceful areas to relax with a drink.

Family weekend

Spent two nights here and loved it.  We were made to feel very welcome by Jillian, Bernard, Richard and Clémence - all very happy to have a chat and ensure our stay was enjoyable.  Dinner at Chez Clémence was most enjoyable and breakfast was also excellent.  Lovely rooms and gardens.

Great place to stay and eat

My husband and I stayed at the Euroa butter factory for our wedding anniversary. The accomodation was brilliant, included breakfast in the morning delicious, but the highlight was the fine dining experience. Set menu of seasonal delights sent our taste buds on a wild ride. Each course was delicious, size of meals generous, dishes came out at perfect intervals so we didn’t feel like we were rushed out the door. Staff all very friendly and passionate. The family run business made us feel very welcome. The renovated old butter factor was decorated with a variety of antique furniture with a modern twist. Surrounding gardens beautiful to stroll around. Can’t wait to return

Perfect weekend away

Chez Clemence is an experience like no other. You feel welcome the minute you arrive ,and are treated as special, until you leave. Richard is an outstanding chef , who has a new sous chef, who has worked with him in Paris. This chef has also worked at Brae, so has plenty of diverse experience . Together , they are a great team.  We enjoyed 7 courses of this outstanding food , and thought it was unbelievable value . We asked if they had a wine that we didn’t see on the menu , and low and behold, out came the wine, that was put aside for a situation such as that !

Second visit just as perfect as the first

Friend and I stayed here and loved the place. 
But....the hostess was not one bit welcoming
and hardly spoke. If anything was ordered at the bar 
eg:,breakfast, coffee, drinks it was left on the bar to come and get yourself even though the table we were at was nearby. She seemed sour and we felt like we were nuisances. Maybe she is in the wrong business. 
Two other paying guests had to wait to check out for over 10 mins.....continually rang the buzzer and ended up calling on their phone to get some service. 
So much for trying to support small business in country Victoria. I am from country Vic myself.  Very disappointed in the service.

Lovely place to stay but poor service

From the moment you walk into this restaurant you are immediately taken back in time. The building has been restored to its original beauty. Exposed brick walls , beautiful brick floors, antique furniture dotted here and there and high vaulted ceilings. We sat at a magnificent french polished walnut table. Richard, being a very experienced chef from all over the world, produces food that is the result of this . Thank goodness it is a set menu, so no need to choose, you just have everything ! The desert is a must , a custard tart straight from heaven. This is the restaurant to go to , when you are looking for something amazing.

I decided to take a break on the Sydney to Melbourne drive and am very happy to have found the Euroa Butter Factory. It was the most relaxing stay. I can highly recommend this accommodation. The walking paths around town were great too.

Beautiful room, lovely breakfast

Stayed for one night.  Loved how the entire hotel felt true to its heritage.  The room was very spacious , nice bathroom, nice bath products.  The grounds are lovely too. We were offered breakfast which was good.  Wish we would have been told about the pool at check in though, as it was a really hot day and only discovered the pool just before we left.  

Beautifully restored building.

Lovingly restored with several guest rooms and great spaces inside and outside to relax plus a pool. Our hosts turned themselves inside out and nothing was too much trouble. We ate in one night and had a picnic in the beautiful gardens another; ate out another night. We had the cottage which was spacious - everything is "old world" and just delightful. The Butter Factory is just 100 m from great walks along the river or you can go up into the hills from one of the river tracks; we enjoyed lots of cycling too up into the Strathbogies and around town. Quiet town with lots of appeal and worth a few days exploring.

Excellent - nothing too much trouble

We were on our way to South Australia and stayed 1 night at the Euroa Butter Factory and were delighted with our stay.  Jillian was a brilliant host and nothing was too much trouble.  The breakfast was very nice, and even though I had asked for only coffee, a beautiful fruit platter was presented.  The gardens are beautiful and a wander around them is mandatory.  It has a special charm to it and would highly recommend.
