Perfect location! Quiet, comfortable, excellent WiFi and the added bonus of being able to use the facilities at the Great Ocean Road Resort! I used the gym and the indoor pool & jacuzzi - the former was great, the latter was too cold for winter use.
This was our second trip staying with these folks and it was just as wonderful the second time.

We'll be back!!

The lady at the reception was warm and friendly, the room was spacious and finding out that we could use the facilities at the nearby resort was lovely too, which included a spa, restaurant and decking that you could sit at to enjoy, I would definitely book here again

Motel

What you would expect from a motel.  Nothing flash but cheap and clean.  I have read comments about the carpet stains, yes this time we had that room, it’s clean but stained with what looks like someone’s coffee spilt, carpet not suitable for purpose.  Have stayed there before and no stains must be one room.

Motel room

Convenient. Welcoming. Totally clean. Well provisioned. Microwave, coffee pod machine, toaster, kettle, crockery, glasses, cutlery, tea towel and detergent. Fabulous shower and large towels. And a very comfy bed. Positioned across from the river and within walking distance of (nearly) everything in Anglesea. There was nothing not to like and we really enjoyed our stay.

The room was nice and  quiet. The location 
was  convenient foe our needs the bed was comfortable  had a great meal at a la greque in aireys inlet . This was an overnight stay on our way to mount gambier

Our second stay here and we love this motel...lovely rooms,, beautifully decorated and all the appliances for everything.  The shower pressure was great and the room warmed up quickly.
Huge fluffy  towels. comfy bed.

Another great stay!

The accommodations was not easy to find in the dark, having never been to Anglesea before didnt really know what to expect. They need some outdoor lighting  and signage. The premises has been painted recently, and they have all matching cutlery and coffee pods. I was in room 5 the bed was a bit too soft and the room was cold even with the heater on, which still really didnt make a difference as the heater is located away from the bed so it took ages for the room to warm up.

Its really easy to get this accommodation and the other one with  a very similar name confused especially at night time in the rain. The owners were helpful and polite.
If your never been to Anglesea before like me be aware that everything shuts really early in July by early i mean 8.30pm - 9.00pm on both Friday & Saturday nights. There is no where to get anything to eat by 9.00pm in town. The nearest place to get something to eat and drink is going back for a 30km drive to Geelong. So if you want a bickie or soft drink you better take some.

First time to Anglesea

Lovely clean room, comfortable bed and close to everything in town. We stayed for a night and it was more than satisfactory! Very clean and water pressure great with excellent heater. Would recommend for anyone needing accommodation in Anglesea.

Great value and comfort.

We had a two night stay in room 8 at this motel.

Whilst a very old motel there has been extensive work done to update the building and interior. Interior walls are a little old fashioned with white painted Besser Block. Sound travelled easily through the front of the room.

Rooms were spacious, wifi worked well and great to see a motel where there is a microwave, toaster and kettle with plates and cutlery. The plates and cutlery are  a rarity at many motels we have stayed at.

Location is great with the river across the road with watersports nearby.

The main town is a 7 minute walk uphill where you will find an IGA Supermarket, shops, restaurants and bars including the Anglesea Hotel. The hotel has a happy hour from 5-7pm on Fridays. Also The Coast and Last One one have happy hours as well 7 days a week and only a 2 minute walk away.

An even shorter walk towards the beach in the opposite direcdtion is a few more restaurants and a little further on, the ocean.

The Motel got marked down due their non-policing of smokers on the property. 

We had chain smokers next door who were always loitering near our front door smoking and we could not open our windows as the smoke was entering our room.

This was reported to the cleaner who advised that she would pass this on. She also said they should be 10-15 metres away from any doors. Nothing was done. There were also other smokers nearby.

This was also reported to reception upon departure and I was advised that it was an entirely non-smoking property. This should be better policed.

Surely as guests we are entitled to fresh air and not a smoke filled environment.

More control required over smokers at the Motel

I am unsure of the managers level of competence. 
His absence was severely felt by myself and two other sets of travellers. 
We all booked on line through bookings.com and on arrival there was no one in the reception only a land line number that was not answered after numerous attempts. 
The young German tourist and I went to ask around town. I was told by the service station staff member to go to the property across the road owned by the same people. 
What a stuff around. The dude eventually rocked up in his Benz no apology no explanation took my credit card and gave me the key. 
I apologised to the young German couple for the attitude of the owner and tried to convince them all Australians were not so …. Rude and disappointing. 
Later that evening 10.30 pm a Canadian couple had the same experience. 
I walked them across to the other property and I found their key for them. I also apologised to them for the incompetence. 
Why in this day and age is there no mobile number. 
Obviously the manager had better things to do! 
Really slack really sloppy and really embarrassing lack of service and manners! 
So thanks for asking and I will repost this review where maybe it will be read and perhaps you could lift your game.
