Found a broken shower head on one visit to Anglesea in August 2016. Functional  kitchen facilities and a comfortable living area. Room service was fairly average although the Wi-Fi does not really work.

Mediocre

We stayed in the summer and it was very hot. There were no ventilators and much less air conditioning. The furniture was very old and careless. The kitchen was complete and the bathroom was acceptable. The owner was very kind in everything we asked her. He told us that if two people were connected, the wifi wouldn't work well, but I had no problems at all. I didn't like the accommodation in relation to the price we paid for it. Nearby is a golf course where kangaroos are often seen at sunset.

Ancient 

Great home. Small but comfortable room (6 people). Separate bathroom and toilet. Equipped kitchen, comfortable living room. Internet functioning. Location ok. Right next to the golf course where you can see kangaroos (a lot)!! Crazy!

A perfect stop.

Comfortable, basic but had everything you need. We stayed in the double room at the back with ensuite bathroom. Friendly owner who recommended we take a stroll to the golf club for dinner and see the kangaroos! We did and it was brilliant. Good pub food and lots of kangaroos! Also recommend kayaking on the river with Anglesey Canoe hire which was fantastic for wildlife. 

Loved it! 

The house was too much cold. We were freezing inside. Fortunately, there was a little heater for the room, but in the morning the toilette, the shower, and the kitchen were a nightmare. 
We asked for the wood (6 dollars more) for the fireplace, but it wasn't available. :/
Not very good.
The kitchen is old style, still for my grandmother, but there are a lot of tools.
The location is good, nice town, at the beginning of the Great Ocean Road.
The room was clean.
Something needs to be improved.

Not really convincing!

We were attending a function and just needed somewhere to sleep. The house appeared to be well appointed in the common areas and kitchen. Our double bedroom (which included an ensuite) was compact but suitable for our needs. Very good value for the price.

Very friendly staff, polite and quick to answer any questions I had.
I see a few reviews of people complaining, keep in mind it's  backpackers.Don't judge a place for what it isn't .
Not a single complaint about this place from me.

Clean. Comfy. Friendly.

A nice place to stay, with free wifi, breakfast included (only coffee or tea but something is something).The service is very nice, it has all the readiness to give data from the ocean toad.

 Great Ocean Road 

I was in the backpacker as an emergency solution. I called spontaneously and was received very kindly 20 minutes later even though it was already about 9:00 p.m. Heating was already set up for me because it's getting a little cold at night. I spent 1 night here and was treated very kindly. The room and bathroom were clean and tidy, not the latest but enough. The kitchen was also equipped with everything you need (including towels). Also there was a washing machine, TV, PC and if you wanted a firewood stove in the living room:-)

All you need

We had the pleasure of having the house for ourselves (my mother and my 15-month-old son), so we were kindly offered to take a dorm room each. We were able to enjoy the large kitchen and the large living room, it was very nice. There was a large 5-gas kitchen, a large refrigerator, and not a lot of dishes available. Only a little bemool, the cold. It was mid-October, and there was no heating in the rooms. In the living room, there is a furnace but you have to pay for the wood. We had a little cold, and as we left the morning, we realized that it was just warmer than the outside! The kitchen was very friendly, and I recommended this place to all the guests.
