Idyllic rural retreat just 3 minutes out of Augusta. A bunch of spacious cabins with the larger ones sleeping 14 people. Great views across the valley with kangaroos mixing with the beef cattle. The interior of the cabins is dated but very clean, comfortable and well appointed.  Very quiet and private with very reasonable tariffs, far superior to any other accommodation in Augusta. The only minor issues were no internet which is probably a blessing for some and there was no washing powder for the washing .

A group of 12 friends had an enjoyable stay at the Sheoak Chalets for 2 nights playing games, having cooked meals & singing. Natalie was a great host and went beyond the extra mile to  assist us and make us feel welcomed. Thankyou Natalie.

The Sheoak Chalets

Loved our stay, and just wish it could have been longer.  A lovely welcome from the hosts with a lit fire on a cool winter afternoon. Simple and roomy chalet, spotlessly clean, and equipped with everything you need. The kids loved the beds in the loft. The location is just gorgeous. Beautiful views out over the paddocks and the sea in the distance. Idyllic rural setting, but just a few minutes into town. And fantastic seafood shed nearby for local fish and abalone. 

Rural bliss

Positives:
1. Location - a short drive from the main street of Augusta, in the Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park, with beautiful view of the hills. 2. Very spacious, rustic, but well maintained - separate kitchen, living area, bathroom (shower, wasching machine), toilet, two bedrooms downstairs and the loft, as the 3rd bedroom with a mattress on the floor, accessed via a ladder. 3. Fully equipped kitchen. 4. Wood fire heater. 5. Free WiFi. 6. Outdoor patio with BBQ.

Negatives:
1. Dated furniture, walls showing a little wear and tear. 2. No A/C - only a small, old style standing fan in the bedroom (more relevant for summer stays). 3. Old style window in the toilet, not completely sealed - making the trip to the toilet, a little cold and uncomfortable.

Great country style accommodation

We were so pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our chalet. Driving from Albany our satnav had taken us along a long, winding dirt road to get there so we were a tad apprehensive as to what our accommodation for the night would be like. We found a lovely comfortable, clean chalet with the most beautiful outlook across rolling fields. We were actually only a very short drive from the main street. Never trust satnav to get you there the best way!! The next morning we woke to the most beautiful sunset right from our balcony.

Very comfortable , spotlessly clean chalet with everything you could want. It has 
lovely views and tranquil surroundings, whilst still being close to the centre of town.

The owners were very accomodating and friendly.

Really lovely surroundings

My party of five stayed for four days and chalet number four at Sheoak Chalets Augusta. The chalet had absolutely everything we could need. The setting is so beautiful and peaceful. I would thoroughly recommend it for business groups and families.

Secluded Confort

My 17 year old and I stayed for 2 nights in Chalet 1 . 
This place is a hidden gem . 
Perfect for families or travellers who need seperate bedrooms some space and a more down to earth escape. 
Rustic and country yet just a few minutes drive to the Main Street of Augusta. 
Clean well appointed and very private with comfy beds . 
Resident Blue Tongue Lizard and lots of Kookaburras too. 
If you are the typical 5 star hotel type needing air conditioning and starched sheets it may not be your thing but it is definitely ours. 
Love the outlook and bbq too :) 

Country retreat 

Needed a place centrally located to get a few things done midweek. The Chalets were ideal. Straight down the road 5mins into town. Serenity in abundance. I love this place so much I want to buy it. The loft/attic is the 3rd bedroom via a ladder to a mattress on the floor. An adventure for kids. Having a kitchen keeps family costs down. Everything worked and kept clean. Views spectacular.

Awesome Augusta

Stayed at one of the 5 or so chalets at this property. This property appears to have a few residences on it as well. 

You have a very nice view to wake up to in the morning overlooking a paddock - just as advertised. There was no curtain in the master bedroom - would be nice to give guests the option. 

Sadly for us we saw no wildlife but I can imagine that comes down to luck.  

The check in process could have been made clearer - for those staying you can simply collect your keys from the boxes at the main house (signed posted). Arriving at night certainly complicates things. 

The unit itself was as advertised. Though there is just a mattress on the floor in the loft, and a few dead bugs on the window sill but nothing too bad. Heating is only provided by a wood fireplace, no air conditioning. Fully stocked kitchen in terms of utensils. Gas oven, water, and microwave. 

WiFi cut out half way through the evening and didn’t come back. 

Good for a one night stay in this part of the country.
