Nice quiet stay for the night. Staff friendly, simple. Nice being close to the Hotel where you can get a feed. Small room which as more than adequate and well priced for what you got. Bed very comfy..

Good simple friendly and well priced

This hotel is the ideal location.

It’s great value for money with plenty of food options around the area.  The tavern at the front also has great meals.

While the Gateshead is no palace, they offer  simple older rooms at a great price.

The also have an abundance of parking on site.

Great value for money

Stayed here recently for 2 nights. My son was admitted to the Lake Macquarie Private Hospital....this hotel was an easy 10 minute walk....the reason why I stayed here.
Room was very clean and the bed comfortable.

Comfortable,  affordable accommodation. 

Fair price, good location (5 minutes away by car from the city center with shopping center and restaurants), clean rooms with all you need: towels, soap, good bed, tv, fridge, kettle, coffee and tea with some biscuits, quiet at night (however can be noisy if you have noisy neighbours, but not because of the traffic), good shower. Nothing to complain about. Definitely recommend that place if you need a place for a night or too on the road!
Bonus: there is a pub with very cheap prices too!

Basic but very good and clean motel!

Don’t let the fact it’s on a busy road or part of the pub put you off, the rooms are around the back and quiet as well as private, can park directly outside your unit. The rooms aren’t big but for the price it’s unbeatable, no frills but clean and comfortable. Good beds, good hot water. Saw someone else’s pizza ordered from the bar and was envious, looked so yum! Good spot to stay when on a budget.

Very fair! 

We came here because we had an entertainment coupon to use, it is a very modest looking establishment and to be honest we weren't expecting much, but the food was delicious, the rice, satay and especially the sweet and sour pork with chunks of fresh pineapple, yum!

The motel is easily accessed from the main road.
The staff were helpful and friendly.
Parking is around the back adjacent to the room.
Room was basic, comfortable and quiet

Basic and comfortable

We checked in here because of its proximity to Lake Macquarie private hospital. Yes. it is behind the pub, but the room was very clean and very comfortable, Also the price is very good. The bistro saved us having to go searching for meals. No breakfast is available, but there are food outlets very close by. I would recommend this place to others seeking convenient and cheap accommodation. Unfortunately, we did not take photos to share.

Surprising

A couple of us stayed here a couple nights whilst visiting Redhead.

The rooms were small but well appointed. The bed was very comfortable for a good nights sleep.

The Hotel offers Lunch and Dinners as well as it is adjacent to a Service Station and a couple of fast food outlets (Oprto's and Subway).

On the Saturday evening their appeared to be a large group residing in the Hotel section with a lot of kids. The noise from them went on into the early morning. If the rooms were better sound proofed it would not have been a problem.

On the Friday their was a band playing in the outdoor area of the Hotel. The noise level was not loud and as such didn't create any problems.

Great Value Hotel however a little noisy

The rooms were clean and the bed was comfortable, there was a fridge and microwave within the room. Although the surroundings were not glamorous the location of the motel was convenient to my work location. Its a no frills place but give value for your money. The pub next door was pleasant enough and the pub restaurant served so really good food. The staff were always willing to assist.
