Specifically booked this place as it had a pool for great for the school holidays.  However the pool was not available for use due to maintenance.  I was not advised of this before we arrived as I could have made alternative arrangements.  Walked in and noticed cockroaches on the kitchen bench, opened the cupboard under the kitchen sink and cockroach ran out from there.  I advised the staff and was given insect spray to use.  Mouse droppings on kitchen floor living area.  Night time there was more little cockroaches crawling on the kitchen bench, stove area, they were coming out from a hole in the wall behind the kitchen sink.  Towels that were supplied were very thin.  Shower head in the shower was very rusty and did not look safe.  Was very disappointed with this place as I paid $170 for this stay.

Will not be recommending this accommodation as it's not a holiday park. 

The good stuff.....

Helpful reception arrangements for our late arrival

Not so good.....

Very outdated, needs maintenance and some modernisation.
Evidence of water leaking/stains into ceiling space, rusty shower fitting, old laminex benchtops  loosing laminex, shower extraction fan must have been replaced - square for round, so some gaps in the wall surrounding it.

Worst of all was by nightfall we experienced an infestation of  small cockroaches.  

When I mentioned this on checkout, to her credit, the lady seemed unaware of any issue and said it would be addressed. Here's hoping....

Would not recommend a stay here unless there is money spent to upgrade it.  Definitely not worth $150 per night.

Not worth the stay

My partner booked a night here on the way back to Carnarvon which was great as it was a half way planned rest stop to sleep the night. Rocked up and first thing was to have a shower and have a cuppa .  Well talk about crunchy old towels , worn out time for the bin landlord, we are paying big bikkies for this one night at the Cove .. Had a lovely hot shower though and was ready for a nice cuppa tea , well guess what somebody forgot to put any long life Milk in the Chalets didn’t they . 
Very poor service and definitely will not consider staying there  again .

Lacking Service

My extended family booked multiple chalets and sites in this park over new years as this was a perfect location out of the main Geraldton town centre but still close enough for a quick drive in to everything. The chalets are all dated but clean. I read that the park is for sale so I can understand why the owners aren't spending money on upgrades but hopefully it lands in good hands because the potential here is phenomenal with this location and the setting. Our one bedroom Chalet number 4 was well equipped with all the things we needed to enjoy a 3 night stay. All kitchen utensils and cooking equipment was catered for, there was a good size tv and couch, the kitchen window and front door/porch has a magnificent beach view, the bedroom had sufficient space for 2 but the bed was quite dated so not the most comfortable Ive ever slept on but also by no means the worst. All bedding was clean and fresh. The bathroom has space for your toiletries and was clean. 
This is not 5 star vacationing, but I felt quite comfortable with the facilities and level of cleanliness. 
The park is spacious and had some lovely little features with quaint garden art features, kids swings, very clean and beautiful pool area, spacious aviary with gorgeous birds, and a little shop in the reception that had a good range of emergency supplies for when you can't be bothered running into town. I bought a heap of beautiful products from Drummond Cove Olive Farm in reception, highly recommend you try those olive oils, pickles, dukkas, and olives. 
The owners were so fantastic at accommodating the complex bookings from our whole family over many months, some last minute as eastern states relatives also decided to attend. They were always friendly, helpful, and patient. There were a couple of nights where we had parties for new years and to celebrate family coming together and the owners never got angry (we did keep in mind other guests and tried to be respectful). It was a wonderful, memorable stay and I'd like to thank the staff of Drummond Cove Caravan Park for their lovely hospitality. The cat in reception was an added bonus, we were missing our felines back home. Hopefully if a sale goes through the new owners are as lovely and will be able to do some chalet upgrades. 
What did I love? The layout - chalets are a good distance from each other, not wall to wall like some parks. I love the views of the ocean, and the gardens, aviary, and pool. 
What would I change? The walk to the beach is rather long, it would be fantastic if there was a proper path and a road with carpark at the beachfront. Chalet upgrades would be wonderful, understanding that it would be costly and would probably increase charges making the park not as good value as current costs. My uncle was in single room chalet 5 and this one didn't have as good a window for the ocean view as number 4, but it had an oven which 5 didn't, so the chalets are all a bit different to each other. The three double room chalets are also all very different, with each one having pros and cons, depending on what kind of features are important to you. This makes it pot luck with what you get. My cousin had a caravan site, these are away from the chalets, lose the ocean views and are close to a road frequented by noisy trucks. Ask for a site closer to the barbecue area and aviary to be further in away from the road. 
I love this place and would definitely return. I do recommend this to couples and families who are not overly fussy and happy to rough it a bit in exchange for location location (out of the city).  

Basic but beautiful 

The powered sites are large and easily accessible but not very level. Ablutions were very clean with plenty of hot water, do need some maintenance on the door catches though. Managers were pleasant and helpful. Need a key for the dump point, which is a pain, but this is only a minor inconvenience. Recommend this park and rates during peak period are really good.

Recommend this park

Booked for a week, left after 4 nights.
We were parked 4 rows back from Highway, would have thought we were parked on the Highway with the traffic noise. (Not the park’s fault).
The first thing was the Dump Point had a lock & sign on it saying Sorry for the inconvenience out of order.
Will be back in action as soon as possible. (Sign looked like had been there for Months).
Then the ablution block urinal had a sign saying Out of Order.
Also 1 of the 3 toilets had the bolt missing & another had water running every time I entered the block.
(Clean but dated)
Next the Laundry had a sign on 1 of the 2 washing machines you guessed it Out of Order. 
Went to hang out the washing but needed a boat to get to the line after some rain.
Also the roads are potholed from the front gate through the park.
However Jane who booked us in was very pleasant & helpful.
Hopefully the other Kui Park’s are better.

Heading South from trip up North

Partner and I stayed for 4 nights in a powered tent site right by the bird Avery, lovely birds… didn’t get warned of the mice plague which ate their way through our tent… pleasant. Park is a good little size, a little run down however not the biggest issue. Reception was lovely, with a little deli and liquor fridge. Pool looked okay from the fence, beach was a hike and a half. Park had minimal security also, neighbours fridge was stolen and cars coming and going all night. 
Overall, glad we stayed however won’t be returning anytime soon unfortunately.

Tent site for 4 nights

So bad . After check in found there was no hot water ,and toilet didn’t work . Rang office .. no answer rang after hours .. no answer . Went to caretakers who were home but refused to acknowledge me standing out the door holding my phone . Not a pleasent experience . Won’t be returning

Unpleasent

Powered site, great view, office staff very helpful- positives end here. Ablutions disgusting, dirt and grunge in every corner, you can see where cleaners have mopped without moving bins. No hand soap or hand towels for 3 days - unacceptable in COVID times. Dandelions and weeds throughout grounds, site very unlevel, rubbish bins full and not emptied in 4 days. Dump point locked, so can’t access outside of office hours - have never encountered this before. No love here. Very, very sad, as it could be a great park if somebody cared, and some staff were employed

Could be a great park with a little love

2 bed cabin situated next to cargo containers and shed, was filthy.
We used blankets from our car to sit on lounge and sleep on beds
Mouse droppings, floor dirty, needs to be completely refurbished or demolished
Unable to lock the front door so slept with chairs pushed against it
Sign in reception stating same day cancellations not refunded, I can understand why they have had to put this sign up
Would not recommend in any way, keep driving
