Is a 4.9/5. Our family had a perfect stay, and is one of the best house throughout our entire trip!

Everything is perfect! House is extremely well equipped and clean! Terry is also very responsive. The only downside would be the 20mins walk to the main cbd area.

Best stay in hobart

Shout out to Terry our host! Seriously the level of detail is superb. Such a warm and welcoming experience at this property. 
All the additional unexpected but delightful details were beyond the norm.  Focusing on our enjoyment and experience of local Produce by providing all the fixings for a full breakfast, a local wine, chocolates and whiskey to name a few.
Everything is lux and a truely enjoyable experience we want to come back and enjoy again. Thanks  Terry and Vanessa

Wonderful and hard to beat

What a luxurious escape away from home for a night.

From driving in to secure parking for our car, going up the lift to a secure coded room and entering into an open living space with large windows bringing the outside in.

A stunning bedroom offering a large king size bed that had the most comfortable mattress and pillows giving us the best sleep in a long time that made leaving impossible.

The generosity in the complimentary items was incredible with a welcome bottle of local wine, Whisky to enjoy, x2 bottles of beer, Norm and Dan chocolates, Local Ashgrove Milk, bacon, eggs, bread, orange juice, yoghurt, fruits,  jam and a great supply of coffee pods for the machine.

Terry and Vanessa were incredible hosts who ensured we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

We look forward in coming back again very soon and becoming regulars at treating ourselves.

Spoilt Night Away

We loved our stay at The Quarry House Luxury Retreat. The accommodation is absolutely outstanding.  Meticulous attention has been given to the comfort, enjoyment and safety of patrons. The kitchen is well-equipped with everything imaginable. Quality Tasmanian produce is supplied including wine, beer, whisky, chocolate truffles, eggs and bacon and fruit. The king-size bed is divine. We enjoyed being able to walk into the city and appreciate its history and its vibrancy. Having our vehicle safely locked away within sight was an added bonus. We will definitely stay there again. Thank you Vanessa and Terry for your wonderful hospitality and for spoiling us. 

The best place to stay in Hobart

One of the best apartments we have ever used.

Every kitchen amenity you could wish for. All top-of-the-range makes.

Fridge generously stocked with bacon, eggs, bread, milk and WINE.

TV with Foxtel.

Very comfortable king-size bed.  Great bathroom with shower.

Close to city centre

Could not fault it.

Fantastic stay at Quarry House

Before you even arrive at this accommodation you will feel like a valued member of Terry and Vanessa’s family instead of a paying guest. 
Every thing you couldn’t have even thought of have already been considered….from the luxury robes, the comfiest bed, raindrop shower head, all of the items in the fridge on arrival, Netflix logged in, the amazing smell of the place….I could keep listing but there’s way too many things. 
Even on a main road the apartment is incredibly quiet. 
Great location, very easy to find and access. 
Do yourself a favour, and treat yourself to at least one night here.

Very convenient location. Extremely comfortable with good views. Facilities were of high standard and extremely clean.
Easy access. Generous supplies included breakfast, local wine, whiskey, chocolate. A truly luxurious experience.

Fabulous place to stay!

Plus points. Great location: 10 mins to the waterfront and CBD. Quality accomodation: comfy (very warm) bed, secure parking and lift up to the apartment. Really well equipped kitchen. Washer dryer (very useful on our car tour), rainwater shower, nicely stocked fridge which meant that our first breakfast was taken care of. And the pièce de résistance: a bottle of Glaetzer-Dixon Nouveau Chardonnay. Not only is this  an outstanding wine, Nick Glaetzer and his family have a fascinating history.  (Pay a visit next door to find out). 
Negative points: errr...

Luxury and Location

My partner and I were so impressed with our stay at Quarry House, especially all the added bonuses that were included such as alcohol, breakfast, chocolates and top quality products for use . It was super clean, modern and the bed was super comfy. It was also in a great location. Yes it is on a main road but we didn't even notice. We were able to walk into town within 10 minutes and the owners Terry and Vanessa made themselves available for any questions or recommendations we needed. We will definately be staying here when we return to Tasmania.

The Quarry House Luxury Retreat is amazing. If ever you want a place to stay in the city for your interstate family, friend or if you want a romantic getaway you can not go past The Quarry House Luxury Retreat. Terry & Vanessa Field generously advertised on Facebook to give away 2 nights accommodation I was lucky enough to win.  Terry & Vanessa made sure our stay was fantastic. We were provided with Wine, whiskey, beer and the fridge was stocked with breakfast supplies. We wanted for nothing. Thank you so much Terry & Vanessa for making our stay amazing.
