We stayed at this caravan park for 6 nights with friends in our vans.  This a fairly new park and is very roomy and lots of sites.  The toilets are super clean, lots of hot water.   The laundry offers washing machines and dryers.  The sites are very easy to get into.  Very kid friendly park with plenty of activities available.  Staff were super friendly at the sites are very well priced.

Family friendly place to stay

We stayed on the deluxe camp site and it was beautifully set up with our own private fire pit, grassed area and party lights. The site was huge and close by amenities. Unfortunately though, the soccer pitch was right next to it so we had the joy of listening to yelling kids playing soccer up to 10pm each night and had people walking through the site to access their own sites behind. It seemed like poor planning when all of the other kids playground, bouncy pillow, pool etc. were all together. It would have been a much nicer stay had the soccer pitch been placed with other entertainment. I would recommend if staying asking for the deluxe site 184 on it's own. We were at 187. Unfortunately too, though through no fault of the managements, it was awfully windy the whole time we were there. It's a great park for kids but more careful planning would benefit the deluxe sites from a noise and access perspective. Management were very friendly upon check in. More paper towel dispensers needed in the new amenities block as they ran out daily. We won't be back. 

Loved the deluxe site, hated the soccer pitch next to it.

We had the worst week of weather- strong winds and rain - over 6 mm. (This can’t be helped) Two families children under 8.Sites 170&171, low point for the park. After the rain caravans surrounded by 2-5mm of water. Approached the ‘dragon lady’ at reception advising her that we were in ‘a swamp’ and asked to be able to hire a cabin for the remainder of our stay. Given a flat’No’ and no offer of assistance.
So we performed our own flood mitigation works! and Op-shopped while the water drained away.
However the kids loved the park, the new amenities adequate although two cleans a day needed. Sites have no shade but planting has taken place and would be uncomfortable on a hot day. Big pool does not have shade cloth. Unsure if we would return.

Goolwa Discovery Park

This is the best park I've been to, and I've travelled all round Australia. Most of the park is new, outstanding amenities, two pool areas, water park for kids and huge grassed recreation areas. Outstanding 

Best park we have stayed at

Just left this park having stayed in the smaller variant 2 years ago. They have missed an opportunity to shine. Not enough kitchen camp locations or blocks. Pool not heated. 255 sites far too ambitious… crowded. Kids loose out at the behest of profit . Real pity. Goolwa is a lovely place. Won’t be back to this Discovery Park.

Too big, under resourced

We stayed 4 nights but could have easily stayed longer, park amenities were clean, camp kitchen was very impressive with fridges/freezer/ovens/microwave and a great area for larger groups to sit.  Pool areas were really good also. Close to the beach and shops.   Goolwa was a really friendly town and we discovered some great clothes and antique shops.

We would go back 

This is an outstanding park where staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed for 10 nights on a powered site which had lush green lawn. This park caters for larger caravans and motorhomes and it was refreshing to have a large easy to access site. Loved the outlook as were backed onto stables (we were advised on booking that as this is a working horse business you may hear the horses being worked & transported early morning). We found the the new amenities clean and tidy as was the well equipped camp kitchen. There are several bbq areas with seating available. They have herbs growing for the community. For children there are so many activities from the resort style pool, another pool at front of park, splashdown area, 2 bouncy pillows, badminton, soccer, 2 playgrounds and of course trikes to hire. Weekend they had pancakes for Brekky and Saturday a lunch sausage sizzle all for just a gold coin donation for charity. 
Park is located to walking distance to Main Street and wharf. You can also walk to larger shopping centre with supermarket & speciality shops. Highly recommend.

Outstanding park and staff are amazing

The park is being upgraded and it has already improved with a lot of walking paths, road curbing drainage new cabins and grassed caravan sites. We stayed in one of the older cabins it was clean and tidy and in a quiet location. Very happy and will be back again

3 nights in Goolwa

The park has recently been upgraded with new cabins, amenities and brilliant new play areas including an amazing water play area. Very family friendly. The staff are very friendly and helpful and provided excellent local advice. Highly recommend

Great park, great spot

we stayed for 2 nights it was good the best things was the water park and the pool the rooms are good good beds they were comfortable bathrooms were a nice size and the staff are very friendly.
we enjoyed are stay plus we got a discount from are sister what works there   
at the end of the holiday we watch a movie the movie was Moana wich was amazing
