I came to this place around 7 PM.No one met me there. The key was pinned to a board with a note. I had trouble locating my room. It was + 10 in Celsius outside and the room was cold. It had a small heater which turned itself off every half an hour and was not enough to heat up the room. The inside temperature stayed at the same level as outside at around + 10 degrees Celsius. The private toilet actually was at the open balcony. As well as shower. So at 10 degrees Celsius you could hardly use any of those. The communal kitchen was horrible and  dirty. It was cold and without light. The kettle I tried to boil water in was dirty and had the horrible smell. I couldn't eventually use it. The next morning I left the cold room which was visited at night by wild animals who pooped everywhere and made the toilet unusable. I wrote a negative review for hotels.com but it did not publish it. I also stopped my payment for this accommodation on my credit card. This property should be delisted. Avoid it.

Horrible experience

Basic but comfortable accommodation close to flinders chase national park visitor centre. Self catering with large shared kitchen and dining area. Great for wildlife enthusiasts.Where else could you stay with two koalas up a tree just yards from your door?. Plenty of kangaroos on scrubland just across the road at dusk too.

I stayed in the cabin accommodation.  It was functional and clean.  The facilities are gradually being upgraded.  It does not pretend to be something it is not and for a great location near some of the iconic sites in the west of KI it is hard to beat.  As noted in earlier reviews, you will need to bring all food and drink as the nearest shop is some distance away.

Great place to stay on the Western end of KI

On a cold and wet day in May we booked into Flinders Chase Farm Stay. It must be understood that priority is placed on the farm and the stay is secondary. The heater in our room took the chill off the air and the semi outdoor toilet and shower would be really cool in summer. 
The room has a bed and side table. Rustic and basic.

Great location on the Island, unfortunately a let down once we arrived. We had booked a cabin for a romantic getaway, unfortunately we got 'upgraded at no extra cost' to six bed room in the Lodge. It did have the advantage of a ensuite, but not what we booked. The explanation was the cabins had faulty locks, however the room 9 we had, didn't lock either.  

The cleanliness was a huge let down, from the sink in the in the Ensuite, the curtains in the room were stained. 
The Fridges in the shared Kitchen, was disgusting! (attached pictures), not cleaned in weeks!!!

The Farm Stay seems to focus on large groups, such as the one that arrived later that day! Having a guide cooking for them in the shared the Kitchen area! The group was partying till 1am. We were not only the people with this issue!

I hope they take on this Feedback on board! With little effort I believe the Farm stay could be so much better.

Poor with so much Potential!

A decent and cheap accommodation in the heart of the remote Flinders Chade national park. The log huts were very cute equipped with self sufficient kitchen. The people were welcoming and helpful too.

In the evening you will find plenty of wild wallabies and possums roaming around the kitchen, eich is quite cool. Totally recommended.
