Good little site within walking distance of city and gorge (if you are fit - it's a bit hilly). Helpful office. Nice showers with plenty of hot water. So doesn't cover essentials but has nice wine and interesting gifts.  A bit close to main road.

Good location for visiting Launceston

We stayed with a campervan.
The site amenities were excellant. Showers hot and never a wait. 
Its a "commercial" site so not very pretty but was fine for an overnigt stop (or even 2-3days). It is close to Launceston town,careact gorge and the highway. We didnt find it noisy

Good location and excellant ameneties

Excellent stay…The caravan sites were very large with  functional power and water.
The ammenities were very clean and tidy.
The office staff were very helpful and polite
The caravan park was within access to public transport ,taxis  or walking for what you may need.The freeway was easily accessible to whichever direction you want to go.
Overall a very stress free stay within a quiet and comfortable area.

Excellent stay Highly recommend Big 4 Launceston.

Great location and friendly atmosphere. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Bathroom facilities are new looking and clean. Recommend as a base to explore Launceston and all the surrounding areas have to offer.

Enjoyable stay

This a great pick for us with location and the things we wanted to see in the area. 

We had purchased a 21”6 van before our holiday (upgrading from an 18”6) and I was advised that the site we had been booked on would fit. On arrival we found we hung out on the road. The lady in the office went above and beyond to see what else she had available and managed to shuffle a few sites around to ensure our stay was comfortable. Thank you to so much must go to her for her assistance. 

Facilities are great, good showers and toilets. Clean washing machines and dryers. 
Nice and quiet

A great place to stay when exploring Launceston

The location was great and as we were travelling in a group of motorhomes we relied on cabs or ubers to get us around. Being close to restaurants it didn't cost us a lot.
Unfortunately the sites are not level and the receptionist wasn't willing to change her sites so our group could be together. She said they were booked out and therefore couldn't move other bookings to suit our needs even though we informed them of our request at the time of booking. They were not booked out and could have easily accommodated our request. We also watched a few people enter the park but couldn't get vans or tents level so they left after requesting flatter sites. The toilet and shower block whilst has new cubicles, has mould in grout in showers and cleaning isnt great. Quick wipe over without products and a mop thru. Ceiling hasnt been cleaned or painted before reno. It is filthy. So we can't give any better rating than 3 star.

We came here for 3 nights using a powered site. The grounds are well kept, clean and tidy. The shower and toilet block is excellent - super clean and plenty of facilities. Our kids loved the jumping pillow and were there every chance they got. Would have loved a pool (but totally get why there isn't one with Tassie's weather!) and the camp kitchen needs a refresh. Apparently that's coming so that's something to look forward to. 

Park is quite close to the highway which some people weren't keen on but honestly, we didn't even notice it. Great spot to base yourself to do lots of day trips to the wonderful places around Launceston.

Great spot for kids

We were a family of 4 staying in a powered site for 2 nights. We found the park to be well maintained and staff very accommodating. 

It was easy to see that the owners have big plans for the park and we feel like it will just improve. 

We really enjoyed the unisex showers near the camp kitchen that meant we could do shower time as a family making it much less stressful with 2 young kids.

Great Park with exciting prospects

The staff were extremely friendly, and the room was great - very new, very clean, and with all the essential cooking things. The park is right next to a main road, so there is a lot of traffic. That didn’t bother us, but if you’re a light sleeper, I’d suggest specifically booking a room up the very back. 
Our room was right in front of the jumping pillow, which would have been ok, but it wasn’t deflated overnight like most parks I’ve stayed in. On two seperate nights, there were kids bouncing and shrieking well after 10pm one night, and after 10:30pm the other, which woke up our children multiple times. It would be nice if the jumping pillow could be deflated nightly to stop this. 
The only other issue we had was the very dismal amount of dish soap in the room. We booked in for a 4-night stay, and were given 2 individual sachets of dish soap (so enough for 2 lots of dishes). As we were cooking our own breakfast and dinner daily, these were gone by our first morning. Reception opens fairly late and closes fairly early for a Big 4, so we were caught out in being able to get some more when needed, but managed to get a few more sachets one afternoon. The morning we left, we realised we had no more dish soap, and we had to leave before reception opened. We were lucky enough to find a cleaner who could give us soap to wash the dishes, but it left us wondering how many other people had just rinsed them before putting them away due to the lack of soap. 

Big 4 Launceston

Had a very enjoyable stay for a few days. quite close to major road but noise didn't bother us in the  cabin. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Launceston is small enough to be easily explored from the campsite but a car is essential
