Would not recommend Boronia Peak Villas to any of my friends or family or anyone in that case- very unprofessional with their management sending us a nasty email when we complained that our $230 “romance villa” wasn’t up to cleaning standard when we found hair and bugs in our sheets when we pulled them back. We asked for a refund and they gave it to us but then sent a nasty email saying they are going to charge us a cleaning fee even though we didn’t use anything in the villa and didn’t even stay there for more then an hour and banned us from ever booking there again- they won’t have to worry because we won’t ever be booking there again or recommending them to anyone.

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

Located 1.4 kms from town, it's an easy walk along a walking trail to town. The villa we stayed in (2) required some maintenance due to aging and did not have airconditioning which we were not made aware of on booking. Villa was very spacious, but appliances such as heater supplied as fires can only by lit in winter months, were aged. Bed was very comfortable, and shower pressure great, with plenty of hot water. Lovely extra was the fresh bread and newspaper being delivered to us each morning. Staff very friendly.

Halls Gap is a popular destination. I felt lucky to get a booking for the Labour Day weekend.  The unit was roomy enough, and had everything we needed, including a full size fridge.  Take all the groceries you want for your stay, because the local store has the market cornered. The bed was OK. Water pressure was fantastic. The couches were almost unbearable until the last night when we realized they had boards under the cushions.  We took the board out and it was much better.
We were told not to feed the wildlife, but I really didn't find any wildlife. The cockatoos and kangaroos were very gentle. Even the rosellas came right up to the edge of the patio to pick up sunflower seeds that got spilled.
The television was pretty small, but who goes that far to watch the telly? There's never anything on anyway.
It was an easy walk into town, and plenty to do and see in the area.
Each morning we had fresh bread and a paper delivered to our door. I'm fat now.

Quite get away, Great view, and friendly wildlife

We stayed with our adult kids and their partners for the weekend. The complementary bread and paper on our first morning was a nice touch. 
The wood fire worked well and there was plenty of everything for our large group. 
The bbq wasn't brilliant as it didn't heat evenly. 
The location was very central,  plenty of parking,  and we had emus and wallabies at our door. 
The pool was great and very convenient to have towels supplied. 
Would definitely return.

Cosy and convenient

We stayed in the 10 person villa which was nice but very old and tired. I clean holiday rentals for a living, so I might notice more than others, but wanted to give my honest opinion.

We walked in and the place looked clean, but the carpets looked like that hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. I thought the beds were comfortable it not all of them were made up. The villa sleeps 10, but we said there would be 4 adults, 5 kids and a baby. So they decided not to make one of the bunk beds, assuming that some of the kids would share  a double bed instead of making up the extra bunk bed. I thought that was a bit cheeky since we specifically paid for the entire 10 person cabin.

Each person was supplied with a fresh towel, however only 1 face washer was supplied for all 10 of us. What are we supposed to do, all share 1 face washer? GROSS. If you’re going to state that you supply all linen, you should really supply 1 per person. 

The kitchen had a good supply of crockery to cook with and you definitely supplied enough plates, bowls, cups, glasses and cutlery. That was really appreciated. The dishwasher is quite loud. Word of warning to any future guests, don’t put it on before you go to bed, you won’t sleep.

The washing machine is also SO SO loud. It sounds like it’s going to blow up any minute. You definitely need to replace that not hurt my ears every time we used it.

Other than that we enjoyed our stay. The kangaroos and emus were wandering around the park and the kids loved that. We got fresh bread and a newspaper every morning and the lady was friendly. Thanks for having us stay

Nice but please update something

We stayed in the deluxe villa.  Very private and romantic.  The bedroom was in the mezzanine.  Bed was comfortable and the villa stayed nice and warm with the heating and fire going.  

We were provided with breakfast on the Saturday and a bottle of brute.  Which was lovely.  Saturday they delivered a freshly baked bread and Saturday and Sunday we got the paper delivered.

People need to remember this is a self contained villa therefore they do not service it meaning you don't get fresh towels.

The spa is great but in an odd place.  It sits directly in front of the fireplace.  If you fill the spa up too much it drips all over the tiled floor.  The mop they provide you with is not great to help soak up such spillage.  Also they have a mat under the coffee table which got wet and we had to put it out on the veranda to dry.

The villa does not have a bathroom.  It has a shower over the spa which is in the middle of the lounge.  Great for two to shower together but admittedly rather an odd place to have a shower.

Be aware the spa bath is rather deep and has no steps into it.  If you suffer from hip or knee issues  or just plain struggle to lower yourself into places and then lift yourself out don't book this villa.

We wanted to be able to walk around naked with the blinds open, however the villa did not have privacy blinds which meant people would be able to see us.  I would suggest they invest in privacy blinds.

In the evening we had the pleasure of seeing kangaroos and during the day ducks.

It was a rather expensive 3 star self contained  villa come to think of it
