I spent the weekend with a group of girlfriends for a 50th Birthday. The house is amazing, it’s huge! It had everything we needed and we had a very relaxing time. Sitting on the verandah in the morning sunshine was so nice.  I highly recommend for groups of families or friends.

This property was amazing, pure indulgence 
Attention to detail was perfect, roomy, stylish and a great location. I really felt like I had a relaxing holiday there and did not want to leave 
I fell in love with the place especially the gardens. I will be going back for sure !! 

Love love love this place

Spent the week (and weekend) at the house with a group of friends at this awesome property. 

We couldn't believe how big the house was in person when comparing to the photo's, and loved how useable all the space in the house was. The kitchen allowed us to cater for our whole group easily, although there are plenty of awesome restaurants around if you'd prefer to eat out. 

All the beds were super comfy, overall cannot recommend this stay highly enough :)

Amazing group getaway

Just spent the last couple of days at Lauristina guest house and felt compelled to share my experience.
From the moment I drove through the red painted gates into the ample parking area and had my first glimpse of the homestead and manicured gardens , my jaw dropped, and remained in a similar position for al of my stay!
Wide verandahs with a large outdoor table was the perfect position for a relaxing cheese platter and drinks. The home is well positioned to take advantage of being a short walk to the local pub, restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
For those more adventurous, across the road was quick access to a state forest and numerous walking / hiking trails.
The home was impeccably tidy and presented with period furniture and artworks to complement the original features of this historic home with its high ceilings, ornate cornices and ceiling roses.
A large property of generous proportions will easily sleep 8 adults with multiple indoor sitting rooms, spacious bedroom , 3  bathrooms and a myriad of outdoor areas to relax and contemplate the big issues like your next meal, drink, what book to read, should I sleep awhile.
Talking sleep, the king size beds, with the hotel quality linen were magnificent!
Once the head hit the pillow, I was in slumber heaven.
I will certainly return to this property, which has left me feeling totally relaxed and reinvigorated!

Our group of seven had a great weekend at this lovely house. We felt very at home. This weekend away has been a year in the making for us, thanks to COVID, so we have been ridiculously excited about it and we weren't disappointed. 

Great places to eat (Frank & Connie's Kitchen) a short walk from the house (so no-body had to be designated driver) and a huge kitchen for our self-catered feasting the next night.

Highly recommended!

A great place for a large group

We had a wonderful five night stay at Lauristina. Just a fantastic place to stay, definitely a home away from home. Central location, a couple of minutes away from everything. We couldn’t have been happier with our beautiful surroundings and everything we needed was readily available. Belinda was great to deal with, we had to change our booking a couple of times due to COVID-19. Would definitely recommend Lauristina for travellers. Gorgeous!

Family Getaway

First away from home holiday break after Melbourne Covid-19 lockdown eased was straight to Laurestina. Three generations loved every aspects of the house and decks. Comfy, cosey and sooooo spacious. Elegant understated decor throughout the house with all conveniences. First and lasting impression was “even better than expected” Do note that the resident Kookaburra loves meat and offered bread is ignored with distain 

First outing after Melbourne lockdown eased

After all of the stresses and pressures of this pandemic, finally getting the chance to just go away for a weekend was well longed for and overdue. From the moment I arrived I was blown away with how stunning the property was. We were with friends in the main house and every door opened another surprise. The photos do not do this place justice. It essentially has two houses in one, a beautiful historic home and a perfect modern add on. Beautiful side Verandah perfect for our afternoon wine. Stunning back deck with views of the farms. The fireplace and cosy lounge was perfect. Two dining areas to choose from. The most comfortable beds and pillows. The kitchen had everything we needed. Super close to beautiful walking trails, cafes and restaurants. I would recommend this without a doubt. Families, couples or friends groups it will fit all types. I can’t wait for another longer trip there, next time. 

Perfection

Lauristina house was amazing in every way. The host was so helpful and communicative and ensured we had the most fantastic time. The house itself is huge and comfortable and has everything you could ever need. Two bedrooms have their own ensuites and then there is a main bathroom for the other two bedrooms. The living areas were great, as we could sit in from to a fire in the main lounge or relax in the back living area where there are more couches and a great space to hang out. I went with 3 other mums to relax and we certainly achieved that in this house! We walked just down the road to the cafes and general store each day, so location was excellent too. Hepburn springs and surrounds are just divine. Thanks for a great stay!

Mums weekend away in Hepburn

What a wonderful break in Hepburn and what amazing accommodation. Well suited to a small or large group. We arrived mid afternoon, and came into a snuggly warm house providing everything you needed. from matches and a lighter for the fireplace, a super large oven and a fridge that was large enough to easily stock you for a week. Shot glasses and martini glasses, platters for a spread, fancy plates for a birthday cake and enough utensils to make your home kitchen light on! There was ducted heating, oil heating, an open fire and a split system. The beds were so comfy, the towels fluffy and the 2 living rooms spacious. The dining room made dinner feel like a special occasion. Well kept gardens and the location allowed you to walk to the general store and restaurants. so close to the local attractions, great for those that like a bushwalk or a wander through the shops. Far away enough from the hustle of Daylesford, but 5minutes down the road if you needed. The owners of this property have thought of everything and more.
