An absolute gem in Horsham. Craig takes obvious pride in this accommodation, keeping it clean, tidy and making repairs and improvements ASAP where needed. Not just “pet friendly” (aka “pets tolerated), our 2 doggos were made to feel welcome for their stay. The team provides great local knowledge on check-in and we were very well taken care of when a medical issue arose (Thankyou!!). Comfy bed, hot shower, free breakfast. Will stay again.

Clean, Welcoming Pet-Loving Accommodation

Stayed 3 days and for those looking for budget accommodation it's the best in town. The motel is dated but has comfortable beds, clean bedding and the staff are friendly and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay a good one.

Stayed 2 nights with friends. Beds super comfortable, showers great.
The bar fridge and cupboard were up at a level which suits people with bad backs.
From booking, checking in and checking out, a super experience. The suppied continental breakfast in the breakfast room was excellent

an oldie but an absolute goodie

Very professional staff and room was exceptional! Service was second to none and the complimentary breakfast just shows how Smerdon Lodge goes above and beyond for all guests! I would recommend Smerdon Lodge to anyone who visits Horsham!

Best Motel in Horsham!

I got caught between borers during the lockdowns, stuck in my car with my beautiful dog Forest, we got refused accomodation at many places until we found the Smerden where we were welcomed by the very friendly and helpful owner, it was clean and warm with a great shower and if you are travelling with your dog I would highly recommend a stay here, all of us travelling with animals must support these motels when we can they go that extra mile to cater for our dogs and the lockdowns must have been  very hard on them, if your in the Horsham area give them your support.

If you are travelling with your best friend a great place to stay

We stayed overnight in a clean and comfortable room. Nice to have breakfast in the  morning. A big thank you as I left my phone charger there. They called me, and mailed the charger back to me at no cost, even though I offered to pay. Will certainly stay there again (and remember my charger next time!!!) Many thanks.

Clean and comfortable, and 110% customer service

Travelling with not much spending money? This place is affordable, only a short walk to the pub of take away ( McDonald’s etc) and it has everything in the room you need including complimentary bottles of water. It has a pool, offers breakfast, is pet friendly and for the price is more than you expect. Great 2 night stay with no problems. Thank you Christine for your lovely hospitality and we will be back soon 👍

Central, affordable and accommodating

Craig was incredibly welcoming to us on our recent overnight stay.

The room was dated but had all we needed and was clean and comfortable. Lovely to meet others travelling with pets and kids, very family friendly.

We had people either side but were not disturbed. 

We will definitely stay here again.

Friendly and welcoming

Had all we needed for our overnight stay. The room was clean and the bed comfy. The place is a bit tired but you get what you pay for and it was pretty much what we expected it to be for the price we paid. The breakfast was included but we did not partake as it was stuff we do not eat, cereals, bread. There was a toaster in the room and plates and cutlery if we needed. Very friendly people and for an overnight stay it will do the job. We were there on a Tuesday night and it was fully booked.

Good budget accommodation

Simple, clean, affordable. Room was clean. Bed comfortable. Motel body is aged but that should not deter. Staff very friendly and helpful. Noise from trucks were expected being a major thoroughfare but was pleasantly surprised to only hear slight noise. Heard the freight train rumble through but, again, short lived.
Not a 5 star resort but didn’t expect it to be. Most definitely would stay again.
Location is perfect for food and shopping in Horsham. Thankyou for a wonderful stay.
