My partner and I spent a weekend at Shutters and were really delighted with the way the accomodation had been presented. Despite being a small space, nothing had been overlooked, from a bottle of bubbly in the fridge with complimentary cheeseboard to coffee pods for the nespresso machine.
The lovely little hideaway, where you go off to sleep to the sound of the waves, is clean, newly appointed and very comfortable.

Everything We needed!

Lovely spot - hear the sound of ocean swell and whomp of Little Blow Hole. We enjoyed a relaxing escape to this little spot. It was like what was indicated. We enjoyed facilities of shower, kitchenette and bedroom. Marilyn was helpful. We enjoyed walks, swimming and it was easy 30 minutes walk to Kiama shops restaurants and museums. Lovely escape

My Partner and I had a 5 nights stay at "Shutters by the Sea" during the New Year Period. We were greatly satisfied with a delightfully situated and presented apartment - quality furnishing abound. We found the refrigerator fully stocked with everything needed for our breakfasts over 5days - the complimentary bottle of Champagne and Chocolates were a 
lovely touch. The air-conditioning was rarely need as the sea breeze was constantly pleasant and cooling - but when used was most effective. The only item was occasionally the WiFi would get a "little inconsistent".
We would thoroughly recommend "Shutters" to any prospective guests intending to see a new aspect to the beauty of the Kiama Coast.

We were absolutely delighted with our decision to book Shutters. It was our first time trying this type of accommodation and I'm sure it won't be the last.
So quite and comfortable and we had everything we needed for our three night stay.
Marilyn was exceptional in her communications to us and gave us plenty of options for  restaurants and cafes. We will definitely  stay there again whenever the opportunity arises.

Above Expectations

We spent 4 nights here and this is definitely the place to stay if you are looking for a romantic getaway. Exceptionally clean and high quality, it surpasses all expectations. Open the double sliding doors and you have not only the sun basking in your room, but a wonderful view of the ocean. The balcony is a joy to have a drink in the late afternoon. The facilities are second to none, and the breakfast provided is excellent. The hosts are very nice and helpful, and do not intrude on your privacy. Shutters by the Sea is a fantastic experience to enjoy if you are coming to Kiama for a holiday and we recommend them most whole heartedly.

Best place to stay!

This BnB is so exceptional that we are still here and I couldn’t wait to write a review!

This is the cutest, loveliest place we’ve stayed on a weekend away. The owner, Marilyn is incredibly friendly and sent us tips of places to see and go. Not only that, but she left a fully stocked fridge for us, plus just about any amenity we could need.

The place is a stones throw away from the ocean, so the view is gorgeous. As 2 city slickers, we were dying to go somewhere for some peace and quiet and all you hear at this beautiful property is cicadas at night and the crashing of the ocean waves. 

The property is beautiful, very sweet and cute and we will definitely be staying here again should we come down to Kiama!

The best accommodation we’ve experienced 

Room was spotless upon arrival. Marilyn kindly provided us with the wifi password and suggested places to eat, explore and general things to do. There was no honey (and I have my tea with honey), so within 2 mins of sending a text and asking for some, honey appeared on the top step! She is an amazing host... she is efficient, kind and proactive. 
Views are incredible! Comfy bedding and near-perfect pillows. Real roses on the bedside table too. Brilliant place; we will be back!

Exceptional 

My husband and I recently stayed here for 5 nights for our quiet honeymoon get away. We were travelling from Tamworth and let Marilyn know we wouldn't be there until 7ish. She told us the room was ready for us with a key out the front. After lugging our gear upstairs, it was lovely to have a bottle of wine in the fridge waiting for us. The next day, we got a text letting us know of popular cafes and places to go and visit.
The room was large enough for us. The shower was a great size and the water pressure was really good! Bed was a little hard, but i prefer that in a mattress. There is Foxtel and WIFI as well. Cereals and milk were provided, unfortunately, we aren't big cereal eaters - toast or muffins would have been a lot better for us.
Over all, the stay was beautiful, as was Kiama. We will be returning for sure!

Honeymoon Week -

Recently my husband and I had  a wonderful break away staying at the delightful B&B Shutters by the Sea in Kiama. We stayed 5 nights and felt totally relaxed on our departure. Our host Marilyn left lovely little touches, champagne on ice, that we enjoyed with cheese & fruit at the end of the day, Ferro Roche chocolates, mints & fresh flowers on on our perfectly set  breakfast table. There was a text sent to my husband Kim's phone every morning with hints of what to do for the day that we found most helpful especially the free talk at the Kiama boat ramp by Into the Wild feeding the local Stingrays. Very informative & entertaining.
   The continental breakfast of 3 choices of cereal, fruit, yogurt, juice, milk, bread, waffles & maple syrup was more than ample & a great start for the day. Shutters was situated very close to the Little Blowhole &  a short walk to the local East's beach which we frequented as it was sheltered  and not too populated but still a  patrolled beach.
  Also up the hill from the B&B within walking distance was a great little tapas bar/restaurant known as the Little Blowhole Art Bar. We enjoyed 3 tapas dishes a salad, yummy desserts & cocktail/beers & can a highly recommend!
     Our time spent at Shutters was a delight and we would have no hesitation to return or to endorse to others.

Relaxing summer break

 My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying 4 nights in this great b & b. Friendly owner, Marilyn.. Ample continental breakfast supplies. Chilled bubbly and chocolates on arrival. Everything spotless, modern and comfy. Quiet and short stroll to Little Blowhole. A short drive into town .Only negative is wouldn't  recommend  if you aren't  any good with stairs. We had problem with the airconditioner remote and when  we mentioned it to Marilyn, she promptly replaced it with her own remote from her home downstairs.
