Weather was a bit pants but was great to just chill in the tents and relax until the clouds opened up for our adventures out around fraser island. 

The staff are really cool and helped me work on a itinerary to navigate the island as i have not been here before and saw lots of cars getting bogged, we avoided the troublesome tides and made it everywhere at the perfect times.

The tents can let noise in, but they are tents so was to be expected and came around holidays so children screaming when parents do nothing to respect others is a nuisance, but this could happen anywhere and staff did tell us and others to respect a quiet time of 9pm which a rowdy family listened to and checked out on our second day anyway and the place became blissfully chilled for the rest of the week. 

We are walking distance from a bakery with good coffee, well located for lakes around eurong and saw lots of dingoes on the beach out front. Learnt alot from the guy running the place about the island the dingos and knew his stuff and was happy to help.
Kitchen was clean and fully stocked so wasnt a drama to look after ourselves.

Definitely will come back here during a lower season when children are in school as the beaches were also full of cars and families, good tip was to arrive at a place as early as possible before the masses arrived!

Great time

Location is great. Accommodation a little disappointing. Website states beach views of which there is not from tent. Was not a fan of the plastic shower curtain & plastic plants, especially as it is meant to be an" Eco" village.
Noise from large group at staying was promised to be finished by 10pm, however went on well past this time. The website needs to be more informative in relation to the last 2 tents, as it gives the impression that they are stand alone.

Underwhelming

I booked a family room with bunks for our 3 night stay while we were participating in the Fraser Island Clean Up volunteer weekend. 
The check-in process was underwhelming with a woman showing my husband where our tent was and that was about it.  Staff were difficult to locate and/or identify as staff. 
Despite having specifically requested an allergy friendly solution for crockery and cutlery so as to avoid the risk of cross-contamination in a communal kitchen, and offering to pay extra for this, we were offered a box containing all we would need. This request was forgotten resulting in us washing up before and after using anything in the kitchen. 
The beds had a clean sheet on them and the top sheet and blanket were neatly folded on each bed - not an issue but I wasn’t expecting to have to make our beds. 
My husband’s single bed slats kept coming out of the base, resulting in him falling through the bed numerous times. 
The overhead lights did not work in our tent or the bathroom on our first night. There had been electricians fixing an issue (no problem) when we arrived and when we went out for an outing,  the lights were working however upon our return they were not. We had to shower, toilet and change in the dark. This issue was rectified 24 hours when a “trip switch” was flicked back to “on”. 
The weather was terrible for our stay, which is in no way the property’s fault, however when attempting to tie down the window coverings to stop them flapping noisily in the wind, I discovered they could not be tied down as clips were broken or missing. My husband’s bed was positioned up against the canvas wall which resulted in rain coming through the wall and wetting his bed. 
We had a critter eat through an eco shopping bag (and the contents) and chew on my travel mug which was clean and sitting on the table in our room. 
There are no keys to the tents, despite a lockable screen door at the entry. 
I loved the provided hand soap, body wash and shampoo & conditioners. 
This is a small business, giving back to the island through clean up efforts etc, which I commend. 
I did email the property directly with my dissatisfaction prior to writing a review. I was disappointed to get a reply stating that upon check in we should have been told to ring a buzzer for assistant (we were not told this) and not to keep food in our room as this encourages the less desirable critters (we were also not told this). We kept food in our room in eco bags because we have a child with life-threatening allergies and did not want to risk leaving the only food he could eat in a communal kitchen. 
I was also told critters are a part of camping. And staff are usually next door with the tour business and that’s why there’s a buzzer. I was also told how much work the owner has done cleaning up the island after the recent floods. I felt my concerns were not taken seriously and that I expected too much from camping (I felt the email implied I am unfamiliar with camping and I felt he was telling me I am a princess). I camp regularly in the bush. I was on the island to volunteer in a massive clean up effort. I did not expect luxury but when you pay almost $600 for 3 nights to “glamp” I didn’t expect to have to make my bed, deal with no lights, get wet during the night, be unable to locate staff, and have window coverings flapping around all night because they could not be tied down.  I’ve never experienced critters in my own tent when the zippers are done up whilst bush camping either. I am not precious, however I do not believe we got value for money at all. I should have spent the extra $200 to stay in a 2 bed sled-contained apartment next door.  
Whilst I commend the efforts of the staff in looking after their environment, I was there to do exactly the same thing. As I was last year and will be again in the future. But next time I’ll either bring my own camping gear or stay in an apartment. 

The concept is great. The place felt peaceful. In better weather I am sure it is a delightful location. 

The kitchen was well stocked with everything you could need. This place has a lot of potential but, unfortunately, I can’t say I enjoyed my stay, that I would stay again or that I would recommend to others.  Definitely disappointed and more so as to the reply to my concerns from management.

3 night stay for Fraser Island Clean Up

Booked through K’gari/Drop Bears and had a wonderful time! 
Every member of the team we interacted with was incredibly professional, helpful and friendly. The facilities at the camp were perfect for our needs and we enjoyed using the kitchen each night to cook and enjoy a glass of wine. 
We followed the advice on our daily schedule and felt we really utilized our time on the island - especially for first time visitors. 
Would love to visit again soon.

A wonderful adventure!

I recently stayed in one of the glamping tents and had the BEST TIME! First of all the island is sooo gorgeous. Truly dreamy. I grew up camping in caravans on all sorts of campsites and this was my first time sleeping in a glamping tent right by the beach. I LOVED IT! The tent was more like a hotel room with your own private bathroom. Super clean and beautifully decorated. You have direct access to the beach which, again, is a dream. Just imagine waking up to the sound of waves in a cozy bed, making a cup of coffee in the communal kitchen and heading down to the beach for sunrise. Is there anything cooler than that? To top it all off the staff were LEGENDS! The beachcamp manager was funny and super helpful when it came to planning day trips to different spots on the island. He knows it all and he's not afraid to share it haha. The rest of the staff was very friendly as well. Just a handful of absolute legends here. I don't have one bad thing to say about this place. I will definitely be back soon! Well done guys. You created something EPIC here.

What an absolute dream!

Love the atmosphere and camping style of this retreat. We really enjoyed our stay but not as much as the last time mainly due to the poor attendance of staff. We found that it was lacking proper sanitary maintenance; upon check-in our toilet was dirty with crusted brown poo on the inside of the toilet seat, (fairly minor but still disgusting) and lots of dried up urine when you lifted up the seat. A toilet should be cleaned thoroughly before accepting guests into the room. I had to clean it myself. The kitchen signage states that it is cleaned/sanitised 3 times a day but they don’t. Thick heavy cloths that should be washed daily were left for days. Same for the tea towels. They emphasised the saving of electricity by turning the lights off when not in use but the hallway lights were left on until 12am - they should be off by that time making it easier to get to sleep. Finally, after checking out in the morning we received a phone call from the manager who accused us of taking the body wash, extremely rude & unacceptable to ring a guest and ask this. Needless to say we won’t be back soon and will try another accommodation provider next time.

Disappointed stay

We had the most amazing time staying at Beachcamp to experience the magic of K'gari!
My partner and I did the 3 night/4 day stay with 4WD hire and had an absolutely wonderful time exploring all that the island has to offer.
The accommodation at Beachcamp is lovely - large glamping tents with very comfy beds and the comforts of all the essential amenities (without the hassle of setting up your own tent!). The kitchens are very well equipped with plenty of space for everyone. 
The staff were very helpful - we met Mark to pick up the 4WD and he provided us with all the essential info we needed to set off. A particularly huge shout out to both Hana and Jay who got us out of a tyre issue at the end of our trip - thank you both!!
We would highly recommend Beachcamp for an affordable and authentic experience on K-gari with people who truly value and respect the island. Plus, the magic of beachront living with the sound of waves at night is an added bonus - thank you again! :)

Amazing location to experience the magic of K'gari

We rented a Toyota Landcruiser 4x4 from K'Gari Adventures and stayed for 5 nights in the Beach Cabins. The vehicle was in a very good condition and gave us no problems. We collected the vehicle near Noosa and got a briefing by owner. The ferry crossing was included and we had so much fun driving on the Beach! Then accommodations was clean and comfortable. My only suggestion would be to bring your own wine glasses - apart from that the kitchen is very well equipped with enough space for everyone (including fridge and freezer space). We got some really good tips on where to go, and more importantly on when to go and timing it with the high tide. Also remember to bring your own fire wood! There is no wifi but our mobile reception was good everywhere. We took a mobile battery operated fan which came in very handy.

Family Holiday with 4x4 hire

We had such a great time at Beachcamp Retreat on K'gari! 
The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was the best possible. The beds are super comfy and the showers have great water pressure and have really hot water, which was perfect for the wintery nights while we were there.
I highly recommend staying here!

5 star glamping experience!

We loved this comfortable lay back, homely little retreat with comfry beds and a well equipped kitchen. Even though it was busy and pouring with rain we had heaps of space In the kitchen with a big comfortable couch and a big bench. The owners are super chilled and friendly. Our only recommendation is you take lots of ear plugs as you are sleeping in a tent. Unfortunately we had 2 inconsiderate families that were loud and rude and kept us awake yelling.
