We stayed here over the long weekend and had a brilliant time! The rooms were comfortable, well appointed and affordable. Nice pool and great location right on Litchfield National Park. The highlight for us was the owners (actually it was their brother and sister in law running it the week we visited). Such friendly, hospitable hosts. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the onsite restaurant at a very reasonable price. Lovely atmosphere! We’ll be back again for sure.

What a friendly spot!

I stayed here for 3 nights per week for 10 weeks while working nearby. The owners were incredibly professional, yet warm and accommodating. The room was always very clean and pleasant, and the property nice and green. Close to the park and nearby Batchelor for amenities. Value for money is very high. I will be back to see them again

Warm and professional

The staff were extremely helpful and cheerful. The accommodation is not luxurious but adequate and it is well priced. The pool is not fenced so if there are young children take care. Food is pub standard but plenty of options in the area. Would certainly return.

Comfortable accommodation

Great Budget cabin close to Litchfield and Batchelor. Clean amenities (water stained sink, normal for remote NT locations due to bore water). 
Friendly Staff and would recommend staying here!!

Great Budget Cabin

Stayed here for 4 nights. Our cabin was very clean and had the basics you needed - microwave, toaster, plates, cutlery, tea/coffee, shampoo,etc. Yes, it is old and has seen better days but for the price it was fine. A pleasant setting for quiet time of the deck.  Owners were very obliging. The pool was sparkling clean.  Don't stay here if you are fussy but it was fine for us.( basically we were out exploring  every day and spent very little time in the cabin.) Also had free WiFi. I have to say it had THE BEST toilet paper of any cabin/hotel we have stayed in!!! Maybe I should have given another star for that.

Budget cabins - a little tired/old but fine.

The cabins were once new,  now no more. The pool is not fenced. Our cabin is right in front of the pool and I can only think it would be a complete nightmare if you had toddlers!  My sister had been here years ago and loved it. She told us of the great onsite restaurant with a fellow who entertained the guests with guitar playing and pleasant company. No longer is this the case!  We pre-ordered our meal on booking in - 2 beef schnitzels with chips and salad. When we arrived at the "restaurant" it felt as if we were intruding in someone's house. The airer and washing was drying and being folded in the corner and the footy was on the telly. The owner was in his armchair, apparently asleep!  He was soon stirred into action and went about cooking the pre-paid meal. The food was fine. Nothing gourmet but did the job. We decided not to venture there again. 
The cleanliness was okay. Sticky floors but generally okay. The bathroom could do with a serious update. The mould on the bathroom sink was permanently etched into the plastic. It had been scrubbed hard over the years but the Territory seasons have clearly taken their toll. The cold water tap in the shower did drop off into my sister's hand but she managed to screw it back on without too much drama. The sliding door in the cabin needed something squirted to ensure that it opened without the need to hold both the base and the top simultaneously in order to enter!  General maintenance around the yards needed attention. Like get the blower out and clean up around the pool!  It has been mowed but not much else. 
 Tea and coffee facilities available. A television provided but we did not use it. We didn't ask about Wi-Fi. 
We would love to return in the future if there was a guarantee of it returning to it's former glory. And finally,  the name. It is called Pandanus on Litchfield, no where have we seen it referred to as Litchfield Sunset. 

Has seen better days

This accommodation is close to Litchfield Park.
It is a reasonable price and pretty much what you pay for is what you get.
Could be improved. Pool was dirty - needs renovating.
The cabin we stayed in had a musty smell that was quite off putting but again I guess you get what you pay for. This place just needs a bit of renovating and it would be a good budget stay.

Good location

Any fan of the Simpsons may be familiar with ‘camp crusty’ and this is the Northern Territory’s equivalent. I’m here with my husband and another couple. We have a cabin each. They are clean and serviceable but pretty tired. The AC works which is obviously a good thing up here but a fan would be nice. Although the ceilings are so low they might chop off your head.

The couple running this show are quite elderly and I expect it’s pretty hard work keeping things going ( so I’m feeling a little guilty writing this review) but honestly, there a much nicer places not too far away. 

The ‘camp kitchen’ is really just a grotty lean to with a plug in fry pan and a grotty BBQ. But it did work so that’s something. 

Ostensibly, the pics you’re seeing on the website are not quite in the vicinity of a ‘deep fake’ but they’re not far off. 

And yes, the pool has no fence. It must be illegal. Definitely don’t come with little kids

Don’t believe what you see in the web photos

Hosts were a little bit over it was the impression we got.  Not very tolerant of little children in their communal dining area and just not welcoming.  Facilities were fine although there were a few stains on the linen that didn't look like were post wash and totally insignificant but the hot water wasn't turned on for us: if this was the only thing we wouldn't have given it a second thought as we are capable, but coupled with the attitude and the stains it lead me to feel this tired place needs new owners. Chosen because it was the cheapest but for a few extra bucks I'd rather go to the Banyan tree or the caravan park.  Absolutely adequate, but I was made to feel unwelcome when asking questions about dinner options and when my child was scolded for looking at a pile of books in the communal area, my back was up!  

Unfriendly

Great location, close to the brilliant Litchfield National Park, but that's the end of the positive stuff. The place is run down and dirty. What a shame, I should have read more reviews more carefully. The property is for sale - it looks like it has been for several years - and the owners need to move on. BUT if you're looking for somewhere cheap, this is it! Just don't look too hard...
