The location of these units is great - a 2 minute walk to the Main Street, and a 4 minute to the footbridge. However, they are dated with decor. One night might be okay. However, at least one of the bedrooms smelled musty. I tried to contact the management via email, phone and the booking website - no response. At $200/night I wasn’t expecting 5 Star, but I was expecting clean.

No. Just no.

Where do i start??? Opened the door and was hit by an overpowering smell of mould, mildew and urine. Front door didnt lock. Windows had no screen to open for ventilation. When flushing toilet, all the sewage would come out the shower drain. We couldn't shower and had to use public shower. Oven had old caked on food and utensils not useable and everything had left over food stuck to it. Photos posted not accurate and no washer on property as advertised. Absolute nightmare and property is not liveable and so very old. No phone number to contact and only email with no response. Thanks for a wonderful christmas!!!!! I would recommend you stay away from this dump

Horrible

I was not expecting much since this was a 3 star place but the cleanliness was bad. No change of towels,  old shower, the door looked like old and dented. No reception so no service. The showers are filthy and I'm taking about unit 2.  There wasn't even a bathtub and the cups and utensils where so bad. We have been to gold coast and stayed in a 5 star Meriton suite and you can't compare the jakaranda units to that place. This was very disappointing. Don't come here at all.

Diaster

We were not expecting much considering that it's rated as a 3 star but cleaniness was the absolute minimum, which was not met.We booked this place last minute as an alternative because most decent places in the area were fully booked and it was late at night. The place was old, not clean, dusty and too run down. The furniture was old with the exception of the two couches. No change of towels for a two night stay, not to mention a stone age shower (no bathtub) with a door that looks and feels like it'll fall off when closing or shutting. All filters were mouldy and dusty. Dirty carpets. There is no reception. So don't expect to see anybody there during your entire stay, in case you have queries. I don't recommend this place to anyone, especially anyone with respiratory illnesses or families with infants/young children. Not great value for money. What a let down.

Disaster

The units are clean and provide what you need for a pleasant stay, all you need to bring are your clothes and some food. They are at ground level, some have a few steps up the the front door and there is heating and air conditioning if you need. The units are at one end of town and are easy access to shops and the beach. It's only a short drive to activities such as mini golf or clubs. If assistance is required a phone call will bring help or answer your inquiry. Parking is available with each unit. 

Great place to stay

Quiet location with adequate facilities & everything within walking distance. Some maintenance needed. Electric frypan provided but not working. Storage in fridge limited due to missing rails on door  & missing crisper boxes. We suggest blockout blinds or curtains would help those who may want to try to sleep in.  Great having a washing machine but it was difficult to get to the clothes line as that is through the kids room & required moving bed to gain access. Where the carpet is torn & needs replacing.  We did enjoy our stay & will probably return. Thanks guys.

Enjoyable stay, particularly with kids.

I kind-of liked this motel. Pretty much decent. Good room, very clean. Staff was friendly. 
I believe was a good value over-all. Very close to many restaurants and good places in the city of Lakes Entrance.

Decent

We have stayed many times in the past at Jackaranda and even remember when the 'new' units were built. We have stayed in the older units at the rear that are very homely but very dated.
The new units are very roomy with a nice living area. This is the first time back in about 8 years and we found that time has served well but renovation must be pending. Good value though and the location is excellent with shops literally across the road and around the corner. The lake footbridge would be 200 metres away! I love Lakes Entrance and its many great walks and attractions but there is not a lot of money being spent, but they are trying.

Great Central Location & Roomy

We stayed 2 nights after our booking at another property 'got lost'. The 2 bedroom unit was clean enough, however it was incredibly run down. A sizeable hole in the wall stuffed with newspaper hiding exposed wiring, the towel rack in the bathroom has been broken off, the clothes line is broken, the toilet door isn't on its runners, the window in the main bedroom doesn't have a screen...it's all very poor. While we were grateful to get last minute accommodation, it's impossible to recommend this property. 

In desperate need of an upgrade

Stayed for 3 nights with 2 toddlers. Was put in unit 7, which is full of mould, dust and cobwebs. It was extremely dirty. The bathroom has stains all over the walls, as does the bedroom walls. Very unsafe
