This was an amazing campground, I would highly recommend this stay. Lots of activities and wildlife near by. Nice facilities. Lots of space so you’re not crammed on top of others. Will definitely come back here. Good for all friends, families, solo etc. 



Amazing!!

Fantastic place to unwind and relax in the beautiful place this is. Friendly staff and perfect accommodation. Great place to stay. Family friendly in every way. Great facilities for a perfect family stay.

Ultimate place to have an outdoor bush holiday where the kids can run wild, kayak all afternoon, zip line through the Forrest, feed the animals at 4pm, toast marshmallows and sit by the fire all night. 


Awesome family spot 

I was the only guest in the cabin, and this was very good! The setting was very cool: a whole camping ground with cabins, tents areas and stuff I had not the time to experience. The only bad part of it was the temperature in the cabin: I had to sleep with my clothes on and with four blankets. Tassie weather!

Gorgeous setting

We had a powered site. The site was good with a great power supply. Price was average for a power site. You need your own water, or boil the water from the tank at the ablution block. 

Sadly, the glory days of this place are behind it. Everything is in a state of disrepair. The local dogs 🐕 crap everywhere, so watch your step heading to the shower block 🤨. 

The toilet and showers were not cleaned prior to our arrival. 

We were checked in by a young lady with a cold and had no interaction with any staff over the 3 days.

The bush setting is lovely and the bird life was amazing. Especially the Kookaburras at dawn and dusk.

It’s going to take a lot of money and time to restore this venue to its previous glory.

Biggest downfall was the bathrooms,
Full of cobwebs,spiders,& needing a good paint on walls.
Shower curtains mouldy,toilets not clean on a regular basis,
There is no laundry facilities, there is no supplies in shop,our location was great but the place does need a good upgrade & clean up 

Overall was a great but does need some attention

This site has such potential for so much family fun, to be let down by the staff and a  lack of cleanliness and maintenance. We camped at the unpowered camp grounds near the dam, however the bins were only emptied once in 4 days, with  huge piles of rubbish accumulating. It also took a number of phone calls from a number of people in our group to get the toilets restocked with toilet paper and hand towel and cleaned. Even then they were swept out and the toilet bowls cleaned, but floors were not cleaned and the state of the bathrooms was generally filthy. From the smell and fluids in the area there is also a significant problem with the septic system. As to other facilities, the trampolines have been removed over the past few years, fewer and fewer of the flying foxes (which the kids love using) are serviceable and by the time we left I think they had all been closed. 2 of the 4 boats belonging to the facility were sunk or sinking, with few paddles or oars available. Over visits over the past few years the facilities have been in a steady rate of decline, and the service from the staff poorer and poorer. Even the road has become little more than a 4wd track. The staff were unsure which area we were booked in for, and as families arrived we were told at least 3 different site locations for our group of families. We certainly would not recommend the site for people visiting for the day, the powered sites area may be better?

Let down by cleanliness and staff

Great place for a  budget family holiday. Tennis racquets and balls available, but with some broken strings. Cabins had no tv, but did have fire pit and wildfire heater. Staff were excellent, very helpful and we really enjoyed interacting with all the animals.

Great budget family holiday

Family of 4 adults and 3 children, we booked a large cabin on booking.com in January so nearly 12 months in advance to be told a month prior to our holiday that booking.com have apparently mucked up and that we now only have a small 2 bedroom cabin as nothing else was available. We turned up to our cabin with only having towels for 2 people out of 7!! We asked for more was told they would bring some back shortly. Later that night we called them again about the towels and was told they have been busy and will bring more up, so we had a total of 5 towels for 7 people. The photos on facebook and the internet are not what the place looks like, all equipment is very run down and dangerous, the whole place was very overgrown, leaking septic, our cabin reaked of sewage. dogs were constantly coming up onto our deck area, the park was full of bogan carrying on and fighting i pity the poor people that were camping as we could hear them from our cabin. Not a great experience, we ended up leaving earlier. Won't be heading back unfortunately.

Not good

The kids had a blast and that's the main thing. Cabins where clean, service from Sharman (i think that's his name) was exceptional. the whole park is a tad run down and needs a face lift. flying foxes broken, canoe had a massive hole in it, camp kitchen was overrun with someone's dirty laundry, food scraps and smelt like dog wee. no tv's in the cabin which is great but would be nice if they had some board games, puzzles or cards etc to borrow from reception. The kids loved it so that's all i cared about.
