Booked into onsite cabin. Arrived after office closed but person helpful in getting us to our room. The cabin was spacious and comfortable. Microwave allowed us to heat food. Laundry facilities very much appreciated. NB To use laundry facilities need a supply of $1 coins. The pool looked inviting but didn't use it.

We rang to find out if they were accepting powered site checkins on Christmas Day (not everywhere does, as we'd already discovered). Jo was really helpful and friendly on the phone - and in person - and we arranged the date. Then had to ring to change the date. That was no problem either. A good value, unpretentious campsite with everything we needed in the camp and nearby. They also put on a Big Christmas Breakfast free of charge for any residents staying with them Christmas morning. One of the highlights of our two weeks heading down the coast from Port Douglas to Brisbane. Thanks again, Jo!

Little gem of a campsite

Wonderfully helpful staff here. They parked our camper for us and showed us around the park. The amenities are spotless and smell lovely..Plenty of washing machines, dryers and clotheslines. The camp kitchen was very useful. My favorite part was the big TV in the rec room and books to read.
Will highly recommend The Park to anyone who asks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Big Thank you to ALL the staff.

Great place to stay

Was in mackay for the weekend and needed somewhere here to stay. Price was good room was comfortable. I chose the park because it was the same price as a hotel but it had a kitchenette which meant I didn't have to spend money on takeaway.  A little noisy but that's to be expected when you're on the highway.  Im glad I chose The Park

Value for money

Great caravan park with facility to storage caravan if having to go away for a while. Good showers & toilets, good camp kitchen and BBQ sheltered area. Some permanents but they are away from the main area and quiet. Also used by workers doing seasonal work or whilst working around Australia. Also pool and TV room and a great price.Tthanks

Great spacious caravan park with drive through sites or concrete pads

Stayed Friday to Monday AM.  We rented two villas #6 and #7., had a family birthday party to attend.

The Villas both had en-suites they were clean and tidy, good water pressure in the shower.  There was a basic kitchenette setup - Fridge, Kettle, toaster cooking facilities, (hot plate) etc.

Villa 6 slept 3 adults 2 small kids 
Villa 7 slept 3 adults

The park had camp kitchen for those travelling and camping, good size laundry rooms.

We used the BBQ area by the pool, and had a swim.  My 2 year old granddaughter loved the good sized wading pool.

Believe there are a lot of site workers living here, all who we saw were friendly. (lots of hi-vis on washing lines).

The Parks severed us well.

Just a suggestion some hooks in the bathroom area.

Family catch up 

Had occasion to stay in Mackay recently. I used this venue as they had a good variety of ensuite cabins available. Staff were friendly and readily assisted re local tourism information. The unit I got was all I needed, clean and tidy. Only a short stroll to the swimming pool was handy as it was a hot day.

Nice

Overall the Park is quite good, but unfortunately they have no control over their neighbours over the back fence.
In the 2 weekends I have been here, burning rubber from burnouts, subsequent smoke, noisy music and loud parties in a house or houses directly behind the Park have spoilt the weekend stays.
The burning rubber smell infiltrates the caravans and any washing on clothes lines and the noise from over exuberant party goers 
spoils what would have been a pleasant stay.
Those with any sort of breathing difficulties would struggle with the burning rubber and smoke.
Stay during the week, but avoid weekends.

Avoid Weekends

Literally the second seediest park I’ve been in. Three phone calls to management with no answer, drive in to have a look and get bailed up by an aggressive male. I’m clearly travelling alone and female from interstate. He claims to be management. On the fifth try I get a female who confirms the aggressive male is management and then accuses me of looking for a free bed for the night. In my car? Really? Unbelievably rude and bizarre behaviour from managers who appear to be more interested in being pretend security guards than actually inviting or welcoming customers. Steer clear. Go straight to the north side. In fact go to Bakers Creek anything is better than these awful people with their terrible attitudes.

Keep driving!

Unfortunatly wanted to stay longer but with the position I was placed between permanent vans with one looking so grubby and unkept along with the noise and pressure cleaning for hours with the spray going over my car and van. No consideration and nothing from the managers. The damage from palm trees was a great concern. Cut my time short and would not recommend it to others whobwant a peaceful place. This place needs a major review and will get less support while they have arrigant staff.
