Absolutely beautiful experience. Lovely cabin, wood fire and the views from the lounge room and balcony outstanding. The Lake and mountains...just so serene..we couldn't have asked for more.

Lovely, serene experience.

Positives:
1. Location - picturesque, secluded, with beautiful views of rolling hills and a short drive from Mansfield. 2. Spacious - two bedrooms, living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and balcony. 3. Kitchen was fully equipped. 4. Large bathroom with a sink, plastic shower, washing machine and dryer. 5. Toiletries were provided. 6. Wood heater (wood provided at extra cost) and reverse A/C. 7. Electric blankets on the beds.

Negatives:
1. Electric blanket did not work on one of the beds. 2. No Wifi. 3. Front door fly screen was broken and the door did not close properly so lots of mosquitoes were getting through, 4. Old style toilet window with a hole - it was absolutely freezing in there. 5. Given the weather was VERY cold, it would have been nice if the firewood was provided free of charge, especially because one A/C unit was not enough to warm up the whole cottage.


Beautiful location

A lovely cottage with wonderful views. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place! The living area has so many windows to take the beautiful view in, plus the balcony. I loved just sitting there enjoying the view, sheep, kangaroos etc all wander by. 
We stayed in the Wattle Cottage. It was very, very clean. Comfy bed, comfy couch. Nice linen and towels. 
Being summer the aircon was great. Had pretty much everything we needed. (A couple more kitchen supplies would be handy)
The drive way is quite steep so if you are not a confident driver then you should maybe ask them if there would be someone there to assist, or pick you up from the front gates maybe. 
I highly recommend staying here.

We were looking for a short weekend / public holiday getaway , so decided on booking Burnt Creek Cottages in Mansfield . Best decision ever . The cottages are so beautiful , well equipped with all you need for a short stay . And the view from the balcony and living room are simply amazing . A Total Wow!

Really beautiful location with views of rolling hills and wildlife. The cottage was really well equipped and the pool was great! Fits a couple of families easily. We stayed in the Correa Cottage and the view from our bed was stunning! Comes with a bbq, fully equipped kitchen, spa bath, tv, aircon/heating, and is really quiet. Careful of the driveway up as it’s loose dirt/gravel and steep. Thanks for a great stay and we’ll be coming back again!

Amazing!

This is the second time we have stayed here, once with the previous owners and once with the new owners. We were not disappointed. We stayed in the Acacia unit. Due to covid, we had no neighbours, bad for business, great for us. Karyn and Richard and little Maggie were lovely and very friendly. Views were spectacular, bird life was great.   The cockatoos would often look inside from the balcony windows looking for food and company. Beds were very soft and comfy. Units were spacious. We stayed for four nights and on our last night there was a nasty storm and severe winds, our unit felt stable and cosy.
We found ourselves very relaxed very quickly. We love Mansfield, and would certainly stay again, and recommend these units to anyone.

Extremely Relaxing

We based ourselves here to do the Great Australian rail trail. It's about 15 mins out of Mansfield on top of a hill with amazing views, particularly of the sunset. Very peaceful, nicely appointed cabins with great decks that were perfect for sundowners and watching the sheep chill out in the paddocks below. The nearest shops are in Mansfield so bring all food + drinks. We had a great time and would very happily return.

Relaxing stay with amazing views

This is the second time we have stayed here and both times were lovely .  The views from the cottage are so nice from many windows and inside the cottage , everything has been thought of .   The peace and quiet was so nice and it's only a 10 min drive into Mansfield were there is lots to do .   Will definitely stay here again .

Picturesque views and peace and quiet .

we stayed in Grevillia Cottage. Lovely 1 bedroom cottage. Very well appointed. Views of high country are spectacular. The only things we didn’t like was the king bed was too hard... but that’s a personal preference & all pillows were very soft.  Perhaps 2 soft & 2 firm would be better option.  I take my own pillow everywhere for this reason.  


THE VIEWS- loved it 

What a beautiful part of the world. Sitting high on a hill overlooking some picture perfect landscapes. The cottage was extremely comfortable and had everything that you need.  I could have quite happily moved in and just stayed. 

It was lovely sitting in the verandah having coffee in the morning just watching the birds and the sheep going about their business. 

One thing I will point out is the bed. We have stayed in some very beautiful accommodations over the years but would never go back because of the bed.  But certainly not here!  The bed was very comfy and cosy and I'm sure I can hear it calling me back.

With only 6 cottages onsite you certainly don't feel smothered by other people and they all have a quite private outlook. 

We will definitely be back and the sooner the better.
