Had to book a last minute room in MR, and it was all that was left.
Terrible standard for a reasonably priced private hostel room. Very dated and unclean furnishings and tiles loose in bathroom. Not a comfortable sleep at all. Friendly staff was about the only pro. Needs a serious make over. 

Very bad, even for budget accommodation 

Would not recommend this lodge. While I didn’t have high expectations this place is awful. Staff were very friendly and helpful and that was the highlight. The family room was filthy, smelly and overpriced. The mattress had a sink hole in the middle of it! I will be having the longest shower of my life when I leave here.

Awful!

This is a pleasant hostel with dormitories and private cabin accommodation. I stayed in the latter, which was comfortable and clean with en suite and patio outside the cabin. I had to get a neighbour's help to remove a large Huntsman spider from the wall, but I do not blame the management for this!  There is a nice pool and a communal lounge area and kitchen. Wifi can only be accessed in the reception/lounge area. It's not too far from the town and is a perfectly good place to stay if you are on a budget.

Basic but comfortable ensuite cabin acommodation

It is a hostel, but there is a part which has better accommodation. Bedroom are comfortable with onsuite. There is good Wi-Fi and a pool. Staff are friendly and very helpful. Close to the main town center.

Nice place to stay

The accommodation was as expected, basic, slightly dirty in places but comfortable enough with a nice location.

The main negative about our stay is that the kitchen seems to have an issue with stealing, as evident by all of the aggressive signs placed on the windows. However, the only thieving we experienced was when we actually caught a staff member drunkenly eating our cheese out of the fridge, when she had previously been running through the site screaming at 1am.

Wouldn’t advise against staying there but probably wouldn’t return ourselves.



Average stay

After reading the previous reviews and staying at Dunsborough Beach Lodge I was a bit nervous to stay here. After staying here I don't agree with the reviews. Ben was nice and welcoming and was happy to give us sheets for the beds. The bathrooms were average for a hostel bathroom but our room was clean and had a heater inside for warmth. The wifi worked great in the kitchen and all the essentials were provided. Its not the best hostel I've ever stayed in but for the location and what you get the price is right. I would stay here again if I was back in the Margaret river region

It's a really nice, very well-maintained hostel in a really natural and spectacular country. Compared to many other hostels in the city, this is really a paradise, both amenities, spaces and people. I recommend it to anyone who wants to save and get well.

It's actually a hostel, but it's actually a paradise

We stayed four nights in this hostel, three in a double room and one in a dorm. The double rooms are in a separate building with its own kitchen and nice seating area - quiet and clean. The dorm rooms are also okay, but the community kitchen is messy, crowded and not very pleasant.

Double room nice, rest well

We spent two nights at the Margaret River Lodge. We were very well received and it was the cheapest we found around Margaret River. We chose a double room, which is a queen size bed I think, perfect for a couple. The room was located in a kind of small house with five double rooms, with two showers and two toilets, as well as a living room with TV and a kitchen, and a full-foot terrace overlooking a large green space. The place was very quiet, the places were clean, the sheets and service were provided. Only the little bemoles the kitchen utensils and refrigerator were not very clean, but for two days, it was doing business.
