This was our third stay and as usual it was absolutely idyllic. The Studios are superbly designed for luxurious comfort, privacy (you can't see or hear anyone else) and to unwind and soak up the gorgeous scenery. One thing we particularly love is how lthe studios are so filled with light, and the huge windows make the outside an extension of the living area.  The lovely hosts Paul and Claudia have thought of absoutely everything possible to ensure that your special getaway is just that - they are around if you need them but otherwise you'll feel like it's your very own magical country hideaway. Drinks or meals on the deck are really special and the only life you'll see are the kangaroos and lots of beautiful birds that come very close.
Another huge plus about Hilltop Studios is the location - only ten or so minutes to beaches in one direction and the Margaret River township in the other  it feels extra privileged to have so much space and privacy and a rural setting so close to everything.
We couldn't recommend Hiltop Studios highly enough - we just wish it was closer (we're in northern NSW).  We can't wait for our next visit.

Hilltop Studios - An absolute gem in Margaret River

The studios are situated in a very picturesque location well away from any road noise. 
The bathroom is brilliant: plenty of room and well appointed bathed in natural light from a full wall of windows. We found the bed very comfortable with adequate room to hang clothes and store same underneath. The sun bathed the deck from 9-3 in October and the view is so peaceful with local fauna to watch out for. 
The split air con went kaput on us but host Paul provided 2 heaters that worked just fine. And, bless him, he arrived on our doorstep one morning with a platter of cheese, biscuits, flowers and wine for the inconvenience. Nice touch!
All the windows feature slimline venetians that block out the morning light if you want a sleep-in. And love cooking with the gas cooker!
Situated 7 kms from Bussel Hwy turnoff, you're just 5 mins from Margaret River township. Otherwise, Caves Road is just 200 metres from the Studio driveway: ready to get you going to the vineyards.

My previous reviews/stays explains all that’s provided in the studios, nothing has changed there.

Studio was very clean, in room Wi-Fi worked well and we enjoyed the nice big bed.  Blankets supplied for extra warmth.  We love waking up to open the blinds to see how many kangaroos are out in the paddock.

Couple of things we haven’t experience before:

- Satellite tv remote is wearing and very hard to push the buttons to change channels, need finger nails to push hard.

- Alot of banging & clanking on the outside of the studio that woke me each morning, we haven't experienced that before.  We have stayed before in winter. 

- Conditioner supplied but no shampoo - we thought this very odd, so we had to go buy some.

An enjoyable stay in studio 1

We stayed here at the panoramic suite for 3 nights.
So blown away by how quite and tranquille this place is.
The facilities are spacious, modern and very well thought out.
Was lovely waking up every morning to the truly spectacular views and natural sounds of the forest.
Such a great touch having binoculars so you can watch the animals in the distance. With only 4 cabins on the property we did not hear or see anyone else.
The walking trails around the property are excellent to get out and stretch the legs.
could not have asked for more. Great only being 10 minutes from the MR town.
So happy we stayed here and will strongly recommend to our friends and family.

Absolutely amazing - Very peaceful

Not sure how it got so many 5 star reviews. For $390 a night I would expect a whole lot more. Firstly on the website it states “FREE wifi is available at each studio” however, there was no wifi access in the studio. The information folder in the studio does read “As described on our website (and all linked booking sites) there is no wifi access”. We required wifi for work purposes so to not have it when we were expecting it was very frustrating. Your website needs to be up dated so it’s accurate. 
The entire place wasn’t as clean as you’d expect, a layer of dust coated most surface not often touched and the outside of the windows hadn’t been cleaned recently. The cooking pans were not very clean with dried, old food still stuck to them and a lot of the decor looked to be very cheap quality.
On the positive side the view and location is stunning. The bathroom and spa bath was everything we expected it to be and the bed was really comfortable. 
I think given the price and location of the studio a bottle of wine on arrival would have been a nice touch. 
If the price was more reasonable for what it is we would definitely stay here again as it was relaxing but next time we will find better value for our money.

Nice but not as good as it should have been

I honestly could not rate this place any higher! The view is obviously the selling point but so it should be because it’s beautiful. 
Booked a two nights stay with my Partner, we just wanted some down time for the city life and this studio didn’t disappoint. 
The self contained pad had everything and more great place to relax and just switch off for awhile. 
Easy to get too, located 5-10 mins from the main centre of town. 
I will definitely be recommending this place to all my friends and if your thinking of booking believe me it will tick all your boxes. 

We will 100% be staying there again!

Amazing!!

Close to wineries, The Margaret River distillery, Margaret River Town and restaurants.

Studio 2 was Clean, comfortable and we enjoyed the small touches of locally made bath treats, chocolate and teas. 

We enjoyed a walk around the property, the wild life and the spa bath! 

Staff were attentive when needed, but didn't see or hear anyone on the property. 

We had everything we needed in the studio to cook. One thing that was missing that we thought would be nice, is an out door heater to spend the evenings outside on the deck in the cooler weather.

If your looking for peace and quiet, this is the place! 

We stayed 4 nights in Panorama Studio 2 and found it totally relaxing and quiet, just what the doctor ordered to help us un-wind from the pressures of work.

This is about our 3rd or 4th stay at Hilltop and it never disappoints.  We love the privacy and surrounds, it feels like a home away from home.  

We arrived later in the night to a warn preheated studio, thanks to the owners who put the heater on for us, being winter is was cold and we really appreciated this nice little touch.

You want for nothing.  I won’t describe here everything the studio includes as you can see the photos I have attached to my review for that.  

We loved;  The bottle of wine and block of chocolate on arrival,  comfortable big bed, the pressure, rain water and temperature of the shower, the lovely Vass Virgin bathroom products and Corrynne’s soap.  You’ve had us hooked on that soap from our very first stay all those years back.  The view across the property and seeing the kangaroos and all the lovely birds.  The Webber baby Q on the patio always comes in handy.

We look forward to staying again, next time we are down in Margs.

Tranquil and serene – Just what the doctor ordered!

First impressions....Stunning!
we couldn’t fault Hilltop Studios. August is renowned for cold wet weather in Margaret River, to walk into a heated cabin was just what we needed after stressful day. 
The views are breathtaking, to wake every morning to views of kangaroos and birds was my highlight of the day. 
Our cabin (5) was well appointed the bed was very comfortable and linen was fresh and not worn out.  
Hilltop studios is conveniently located not far from Margaret River we were able to dine out if we felt like it or cook a lovely meal in our cabin.  
We are so impressed by our stay we are planning our return trip very soon.

Perfect getaway 

My husband and I stayed at HILLTOP STUDIOS (on Carters Road Margaret River) for 3 days and we absolutely loved it! We were given Apartment No. 1 which is very convenient as it is located just up the driveway. They have 4 similar apartments, each with their own covered garage, which makes it very convenient when unloading baggage from the car - and you do not get wet when it rains!  The studio apartments were spacious, the layout well thought out, very clean and with complete amenities - a nice kitchenette with complete cooking utensils and tableware. The view was also fantastic and it was so wonderful to wake up every morning to the beautiful scenery of rolling hills outside as the Apartment has full height windows all round - which are fitted with blinds that you can bring down for privacy at night. Also a beautiful patio  outside if you wish to have breakfast outdoors! The location was also very convenient, just 10 mins drive to town and very near all the wineries on the must-visit list. Our wonderful hosts Paul and Claudia were so accommodating that we felt so much like home. We will definitely be back.
