Stange service and communication. After booking, I received messages trying to change my booking of the 'larger' chalet so they can use for other guests and get more money. I then decided it was easier to cancel so they are now demanding full cost of a room to cancel it even with three months' notice - even after advising they had another booking request for the same dates. Blaming the third party (Wotif) policy however I have confirmed the charge is not from Wotif. Beware the fine print. 

Beware of hefty cancellation fees

As a groups of 4, 2 couples we found the Chalet to be super clean and comfortable. There was nothing else we needed bar our own personal belongings, everything was provided even a washing machine!
The entire chalet was spacious, the beds were warm and comfortable, very relaxing.
The owner Dean who i dealt with the most was very friendly and went out of his way to accommodate us. Even though we never met in person, he genuinely took the time for us.
Happy to recommend the chalets to others.

Good food, good friends, Great relaxation in Chalet 3!!!

My son and I thoroughly enjoyed Chalet 2. We arrived to a beautiful clean chalet, which had everything that we needed including washing powder! Our backyard was a beautiful bed of flowers and our neighbours (kangaroos) popped over to say hi everyday. In close range to everything although you felt you were a million miles away from civilisation. Netflix was a great addition for my son after a day of adventures. WiFi was sketchy at the best of times but wasn’t bothered as that was the whole point of getting away for the weekend. There were electric blankets on all beds and extra throws in the cupboard. Cooking amenities were brilliant. Never used the dishwasher. Water was nice and very hot. Thank you for a pleasant stay, I will be bringing the entire family next time!

Excellent, relaxing weekend in Chalet 2.

Had to be harrased for payment due to the accomodation provider not processing payment at time credit card information was presented for booking, then calling my girlfriend at her place of work demanding payment.

How they where able to obtain her contact details would of been stalking us as a couple on Facebook, absoloute disgrace.

Disgraceful & No Customer Service

Although I cannot review the actual property, I can review the lack of service and assistance we received from the current owners.  We booked our weekend away in October 2019, paying one night’s deposit as requested.  When COVID 19 kicked in we cancelled the reservation well inside their 7 days cancellation policy.  I apologised to the owner, however due to Government restrictions we were unable to travel.  The sad thing about this is at no time did the owner offer a solution or a refund and in fact never answered my emails and was rather rude when I rang him.  He advised me he would be in contact....when I asked is that within a week or a month, he said it would be well inside a couple of weeks.  Move forward almost 2 months and I have heard nothing.  He has kept the deposit we paid, offered no alternative which I find appalling customer service to the point that when the limitations are lifted I certainly wouldn’t bother re-booking.  During these uncertain times we are supposed to work together and here I am having to complain.  I wish him all the best and hope my $250 went to a good cause....food on his table

DISAPPOINTING SERVICE FROM OWNERS

We looked at quite a few properties before deciding that Acacia Chalets was the one for us. Having visitors from the UK, we not only wanted to give them a taste of what the Margaret River Region can offer but also in a style and comfort that they would appreciate. Acacia Chalets didn't disappoint. 
We had chalet 4 - the largest of the chalets- which offered three bedrooms and two bathrooms and has views overlooking the dam, to the rear. very spacious living/dining areas and a lovely large verandah /al- fresco for outside entertaining. The beds were clean and very comfortable. Plenty of hot water too, so what more could you ask? Although located in a peaceful backwater, it was literally 10 mins drive into Margs main street (pity they have the road up at the moment), for all your eats and drinks needs.
Luckily, we managed to get our holiday in before the close off and we are very glad we did! A sensational stay, which our UK visitors raved over. Superb!

Tranquility with 5 stars

We really enjoyed staying here as it is modern, well appointed and in a very secluded and quiet location within the forest.  We all had our own room and the living room is gigantic.  A good laundry too!  Saw a few kangaroos while walking around the property.

Serenity in the bush

We had a last minute change to our itinerary, and needed to book just one additional night in the Margaret River area.  It was the weekend of the Gourmet Festival, and as such, the area was pretty busy.  Dean and Jo were kind enough to book us for just one night in Chalet 1, and we couldn't have been happier.  It was a perfect 2 bedroom/2 bath Chalet, nicely furnished, clean and comfortable. The location is great; You feel like you are out in the country, yet it's just a few minutes drive into the lovely town of Margaret River. One last item of note: We had booked a tour for the Lake Cave, but I was concerned because we had all our luggage/belongings in the back of the rental car. (As a previous city dweller, I was a bit paranoid of theft).  Dean was kind enough to let us store our things while we went on our tour. 
I never take the time to write reviews, but I was so impressed with everything the owners have done at the Acacia Chalets, that I felt compelled to write this.  OH.....we even saw a mob of Roos!

Perfect Stay

We visited Margaret river in August 2019 and stayed for 3 nights in Acacia Chalets. 

If I remember correctly, there are 3-4 chalets. The location is great is you want to live just off Margaret River. Early in morning you can spot kangaroos and birds near the lake. 

I Guess peace and quiet is the theme in all the accommodations across this region and hence that’s a given. 

The bed warmers were a nice addition as there was no other heating options available in the room. 

With that said, There were only two cons - 1) were no slippers ( maybe we should have thought about it before hand) were provided and walking around in cold weather was not very comfortable. 2) wifi was really patching. 

All in all, a great place to stay. Though, I would suggest that the owners provide a blender in the kitchen as well. Just my views. 

A nice place close to the town

My stay was during winter, so i concerned about temperature at night. They provide  heated pad at all beds. It was good sleep for my entire family including two kids, 3 and 8 years old. 
Wild kangaroos are a daily sighting just outside the chalet.

There is no or minimum lighting in the vicinity. suggest to head back before dark
