Burger for lunch was exceptional. Overall service was average. 
Saw people checking in having to carry suitcase up multiple flights of wooden stairs. 

The place has a charm due to its age and just needs staff to lift their game to balance it out.

Beautiful heritage building. While waiting for our meal we read about the history of the place. Very interesting.
Our 2 first choices of meals were not available but overall happy with our experience. 
Situated in the town centre across the road from Coles.

Old world charm

Wow listen to all the cry babies! This place is pretty good actually. Basic rooms but they are clean and comfortable. Cheap meals- $10 specials, steak sanga, lasagne for $15,
central location friendly staff will stay again. Pretty cheap accomodation $60 per night 

yeah its ok

Such a pity as it’s a lovely historic building with basic amenities. You can even get a decent meal at the restaurant.  Due to no aircon you need the window open: unfortunately our windows ( we had 2 rooms) was over the beer garden. It was clearly signed no smoking which the staff didn’t enforce ( and even two staff members were seen smoking out there) Therefore we had to endure ( including our two small children) a decent amount of passive smoke until the small hours of the morning.  We had asthmatics amongst our group who required medication due to the smoke. When I spoke to the manager she fobbed me off and did not care that they were not abiding to the non smoking laws. This area was clearly too close to where food is being served and the entrances. It was no adequately screened. Bad management ruined our stay. I will not be recommending anyone stay here.

Had dinner there last week with my wife.
Great food at VERY reasonable price.
Staff were extremely couurteous and friendly.
Beautiful old hotel with lots of character.
Don't go antwhere else in the town just go to the best first!!

BEST MEAL ON OUR TRIP

The room was clean enough.
The bed sagged front to back and side to the middle. Yikes!
Can’t believe this place has 3 stars!! 😂😂Truthfully, don’t stay here unless you are a backpacker on a budget, broke, a drunk or stuck.
The town was full and our only other choice was the front seat of our car. Really!

My wife was very uncomfortable with the shared bathroom across the hall given the boys at the bar. I stood guard 😂

I always knew what time it was as the town clock seemed to be in the closet!
No problem though because when the bar closed and the fellow in the next room scored a lady , sleep was officially gone.

I could give a very amusing blow by blow account of their sex on the veranda next to our window but I’ll spare the general audience. 
No sleep was had  but a good time was had by some  😂😂

OMG

Any port in a storm

A great choice of meals on the menu and very reasonable prices. Very tasty and generous portions. One lady in the kitchen and we had 20 booked for dinner but not too long to wait. Well done, great service.

Old fashioned favorites

Enjoyed dinner here. Quite nice although we did have to wait 45 minutes after ordering and we arrived there at 5.30pm as advised of the opening time for dinner. Good location right in the middle of town.

Nice meal good price

Stayed for one night and had a terrific experience from start to finish. Staff were very informative and friendly - they made sure I knew about the noise from the bar downstairs and no aircon in the rooms before I booked in.

Loads of off street parking and, being on a motorbike, the staff had me park the bike out of sight.

The room was basic, but very clean and comfortable. The fan worked a treat at keeping the room cool (it was a stinking hot day).  Bathrooms were spotless.

The food was great - good solid country pub food, with plenty of variety at reasonable prices.

Overall a really comfortable and great value stay from a well managed country hotel.

Great value, Clean, Friendly & Centrally Located

We stayed one night, it was clean and comfortable and pretty to look at as it is 150 years old but it was hot and we were right across from the toilets and showers that were communal to men an women which was noisy and the lights keep going on. At 1pm 2 young men came in with 2 girls yelling, drunk I guess, it was a very sleepless. Air con would greatly improve the situation as you close everything up and then maybe it would not be so noisy.  I think the apartment they had might have been a better choice.
