This vintage, (read “traditional,”) style motel was everything you could ask from this type of accommodation. Our room was pleasant with a lovely green outlook. The camp kitchen was very welcome. It was a very easy walk to a reception place down the road where we were attending a wedding, so proved perfect for us. Would certainly recommend it.

Everything we needed

A lovingly-restored vintage motel in a beautiful setting.  The gardens were just lovely, and we wish we had some more time to spend at the motel!

Rooms are simple and clean. Mini bar prices are reasonable and access to additional crockery and cutlery was appreciated. 
Easy walk into the village and lots to see. 

We look forward to returning.

A charming location

Charming 1960’s hotel with the best mountain views around. The room was adequate in size. Good place to explore the Yarra valley. Management able to be contacted online and were very helpful. Yarra river just so beautiful and the township people friendly.

Great escape from the city

Comfortable room with all amenities. Beautiful property with lovely garden and outdoor sitting areas.
Peaceful location.
Easy check in and check out procedures. 
Owners were very accommodating by enabling our early check in!

Lovely restful environment

What an amazing place to stay!
This vintage 1966 motel is located in a beautiful garden setting, not far from town. 
Simple but stylish room, which was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable. 
Great value for money with an easy booking process and simple check in check out. 
Great experience all round.

Amazing vintage experience!

Stayed with my 11 yr old daughter for 4 nights over school holidays. Wonderful place to base ourselves as we explored our surroundings. Cosy warm room, comfy bed, hot shower, tv with Netflix - all perfect to return to after a day out and about. Quiet, with lovely views of the trees and mountains. Appreciated the fire pit being lit at night - we liked to sit by it before retiring to our room, and look up at the vast starry night sky and ghostly gums. Easy access to Warburton town, Yarra River, Mt Donna Buang, Healesville Sanctuary, Red Wood Forest, Yarra Valley Chocolaterie and heaps of excellent bike rides and walks ranging from easy to a bit more challenging. Take the time to read the fantastic guide put together by the owners/hosts, emailed to you before your stay. It sets out so many great tips and tricks, making the visit very smooth. Particular highlight was visiting the nearby Buddhist monastery for a blessing, shared meal and teaching session. Would never have thought to go, but for the recommendation in the guide - it was an unforgettable experience. Ate at various local places - again, based on recommendations in the guide - all were friendly and delicious. “Second Breakfast” at the bakery each day was eagerly anticipated. First breakfast would be a cup of tea, a muesli bar and fruit in the room. Side note: we picked the fruit (mandarins, blood oranges, kiwis, tamarillos)  ourselves at nearby Rayners Orchard. Shout out to one of the hosts, Richard, for arranging a bike for me (my daughter had hers) so we could check out the local trails. Easy peasy. 

We’ll be back, definitely.

Delightful stay in magical Warburton

This small motel conveniently located at the intersection of the roads to Mt Donna Buang and Woods Point provided a comfortable and pleasant place to stay when in Warburton and met all our needs. The room was well decorated and pleasant, the Wi Fi okay and a litttle slow and the bathroon a little dated but acceptable (classic black polyproylene toilet seats).Overall a good place to stay and somewhat quaint and good value.

Met All Needs-Comfortable And Somewhat Quaint

Fantastic stay. Had everything you needed for a short stay. You know you are in a good place when the owners describe themselves as being 'in the business of sleep'. The beds were amazing. We had some very hot summer days and the aircon was fabulous and so quiet. The motel has a great vibe to it and 1960's feel. The owners were so happy and willing to make your stay as comfortable and as memorable as possible, many times they went out of their way for us. You can tell they love being in the beautiful surrounds of Warburton and they know every nook and cranny of the area - even where to go to for the best sunset spot! The fire pit is a great addition and we enjoyed sitting around it and having it ready to use every night. The location is quiet and tucked away but close enough to everything, including the start of the Warburton to Lilydale bike track. The bike and tubing hire and activities are operated out of the motel so everything you need for an adventure stay is in the one location. The water tubing was amazing, highly recommend for the whole family. The kids also loved the water park across the road. We would gladly come again!

Great hospitality!

We stayed overnight in Warburton motel and found it good value for money. 
Overlooking ferns and lush vegetation, the room was spotlessly clean and COVID aware- with hand sanitizer and anti- bacterial wipes available for use. Check- in was contactless and we received a text with room and key collection details.
The room was small, but well stocked with tea/ coffee, fridge items and toiletries. Mattresses were good quality and linen was crisp.
Owner Richard was very helpful and prompt when we locked ourselves out of our room.
Motel was well located and within walking distance/ short drive to cafes, restaurants and tourists sites.
Recommended.

We stayed 4 nights. Tried a few rooms 🤣

The beds (all) had new, comfortable mattresses, with lovely crisp sheets. The rooms were really nicely decorated, with quality toiletries. But the topper was Richard and Simone's hospitality. They catered to our every need. We may be considered their most difficult customers ever, but they responded with superb service and humour. Thank you for your outstanding, quality service. You really couldn't have done more to make our stay better! We will be back..... look out 🤣🤣
