Filthy, run down, stinks of cigarette smoke, mouldy, balcony door didn’t open, owner rude. Check in didn’t happen until 2 hours after we arrived. Steer clear - not worth the impact on your health to sleep in such a dirty, unhygienic apartment!

Absolutely disgusting

I stayed here last month to try something different as I am in Melbourne for work almost weekly.

Location was great.

The apartment was very worn, not especially clean and not for me.

I would not stay here ever again!

Tried something new, and it was awful!

Avoid staying here. No assistance what’s so ever. Office not at the building so if you have any problems you carny get help. Reception is for residents not short stay so they are no help either. Very bad experience. Would have left no stars but there’s no option for that.

Absolutely shocking

The reception is so difficult to find! Not at the address on the booking, but in the small print it’s a few doors down. Finally found it and they weren’t in even though we advised our eta at their request. Then they tried to overcharge me because they’d taken more deposit than they thought which took a while on the phone to sort because the person I was speaking with couldn’t find it. Eventually the manager was put on & he sorted it straight away. 
Onto the flat itself. Only one set of keys despite being a 2 bed. Poorly stocked (i.e. 3 plates, 3 glasses, 3 different size wine glasses for a 4 person flat, no tray for the oven). The blind in the lounge was on the floor rather than the window. Went to the office to report these things but they weren’t in so sent an email which was not answered nor were the issues rectified during our stay.
It wasn’t cleaned well (empty meat packet in the freezer, dirty dishes in the dishwasher, dirty sides & cupboards). Decor is modern but tired. 
Lifts are good and there’s a nice roof terrace although it was a bit windy. There’s a bbq up there but it’s one of those hot plate ones which takes forever to heat up. There’s a plunge pool but it was out of order. 
The location is fantastic for Albert Park, and the view is amazing. Perfect location for GP gate 5 is a 5 min walk. 
Could be so good but it’s so incredibly badly managed.

Could Do So Much Better

Pure awfulness!  We showed up at their office and no one was there.  Had to wait 45 mins to get the keys to check in.  When we finally got it, the place hadn’t been properly cleaned and there was a tonne of maintenance issues.  The stove and oven was so greasy it set off the smoke detector when we turned it on.  Body fluids on the wall, the carpet was filthy and needed to be steam cleaned and wasn’t vacuumed.  We had organize parking but when we went in the parkade, there were already people parked in the stalls we were allocated.  Had to call the office and get two new spots.  Emailed management twice and got a response that the manager would stop by but no one ever showed.  The floor tiles in the bathroom shower stalls are lifting from the grout in both showers...  I’m surprised there hasn’t been a flood yet to the neighbors below.  It’s a shame because the place would have been nice had it been properly maintained.  I’d be embarrassed to rent a property like this to someone.  Lack of response from management showed how much care they really provide for this property.  Never again will I stay at a property managed by these guys!!  See the pictures for what they consider to be their “standard” of maintenance.

Avoid at all costs!!

The fact that management don't address negative reviews speaks volumes about their professionalism.

Let's start with the good:
- Apartment is a good size and relatively new (*caveat in 'bad' section)
- Location a quick tram ride from city and St Kilda
- Well priced given location and product (2 bedroom)

And now for the bad:
- We encountered a number of issues with broken fittings: principally the main bathroom exhaust fan whose switch didn't work (cleaners informed us that this was an issue in other apartments). It was quite noisy for an exhaust fan and made getting to sleep a difficult. Building management were aware, but nothing was done about it during our stay (no offers to move to a different apartment, nada - it was hard enough even to get someone to come and meet us so we could tell them what was wrong).
- On our check-in instructions we were advised to complete check-in the next morning. Could not find their near-by office. I called central reservations to be informed that they didn't have an office there and someone would be sent. On the second call (after no one came to the lobby to meet us) I was told that our check-in was done and there was no need for extra procedure. It was then that the cleaner (who they sent for some reason) arrived. Shambles.
- Our wifi didn't work for the first two days. Yes it took two days for them to fix the wifi.
- On the car park instructions we are advised to take the first alley after a 'gym' sign to access the car park. This is a one lane going in the opposite direction.

And this was no anomaly. I had to provide my credit card details etc. for parking reservation on two occasions, because apparently the first time they hadn't been passed on from central office to the mythical South Melbourne office that supposedly operates our apartment building.

The price and location combination may be compelling but ask yourself if you really want to run the (high) risk of having to spend a chunk of your stay resolving simple issues like internet access?
