On a whim stopped a night in Mansfield and found this lovely accommodation.  A few blocks from town, it was an easy and pleasant walk to a pub for our evening meal, after a day of driving.  Accomodation had all we needed and a lovely breakfast.  Hosts were extremely welcoming, great local advice & knowledge. A truly relaxing stop over.. would luv to come back and stay longer. 

Lovely accommodation and hosts 

We have stayed here about three times now.  Fran and Alan are friendly, welcoming hosts who obviously enjoy meeting people .  There is good heating in the rooms and a fire place in the common living room.  There is a simple but plentiful breakfast which makes it easy to get out and on the road.  Alan is very accommodating about timing of breakfast.  We wanted to be out really early.  Highly recommend. 

Definately best choice.

Enjoyed this laid back B & B well appointed, but no tatt, comfortable lounge area and very comfortable bed. Great friendly hosts, great cooked breakfast, plenty of variety. An enjoyable stay. The B & B accommodates 8 couples in the 1930s house and additional family room is offered.

Friendly, comfortable accommodation.

We booked last minute to get a trip to the snow!! We were so lucky to get this place, we don't normally use bed and breakfasts but after this i am sure we will in the future. The room was a decent size with a fridge and a decent TV. The bed was comfy with and electric blanket for added cosiness. The bed was quite luxurious with lovely bedding and cushions, the peach room .... yep it was peach but it was quaint and suited the house and location it was so cosy. The bathroom was large and the shower powerful and fabulous after hitting the slopes. Alan and Fran were lovely hosts and Alan made us feel perfectly at home over breakfast, chatting over bacon and eggs and even getting us a weather and snow report. It really was a lovely place located on the Buller road so convenient too. I'm sure you could easily walk to town if the need arose but we didn't bother.... the best thing was getting back from mount Buller and the blazing open fire in the lounge roaring away and the strategically place marshmallows for toasting by the fire.. perfect!!

. Lovely hospitality - especially the early continental breakie. Room was clean decor very cottage like.

Quick overnight

We stayed in the 'tin shed' (one double and two singles) for one night with our two children. The room was very clean and comfortable and a great size. Breakfast was ready for us in the fridge which was very convenient since we were heading early the next morning to Buller. The owners were very friendly.
