Room was great. Clean. Warm. Perfect
The town??  7.15 pm Friday night after races. Pub. No chicken no steak no fish .  Asked what do you have barman just walked off. Not great customer service.   2 minute noodles in a $190.00 room.

Get in early. I mean really early

Seeing as the proprietors of this woefully sub-par establishment like to engage with a defensive tit-for-tat with its unfortunate guests (via these guests' entirely justified online reviews), allow me to make a few pertinent observations about the place that they'll find hard to refute: 

1) The self check-in service (whereupon you obtain your keys from an impersonal machine sitting outside a reception, which is invariably closed in the afternoon) was about the only efficient aspect of the motel.
2) The parking was inadequate and difficult to understand. There was no guide as to where to park. Most of the front rooms had parking spaces, however, the back building of the motel didn't appear to. In the end I parked in the only spot which didn't have a corresponding number (for the front rooms). 
3) The room I stayed in was freezing overnight, and it's not even winter yet. I later discovered they'd simply taped over the top right bathroom windows. 
4). I received a knock on my door at 10 am ON THE DOT asking if I was leaving yet. I was already standing at the door with my bags. The owner has since claimed that I told them they were a "stupid idiot." I actually said "this is stupid." But I certainly now wish I had said the former. 
4) The blue blanket in my room had some suspicious white stains. One hopes that its bleach but, also, I'm not holding out hope. 
5) May I suggest that the owner take on board serious concerns and misgivings of Hive Hotel and try to actually improve the workings of said establishment, rather than engage in childish tit-for-tat and verbal sparring with genuinely disgruntled customers.

Yuck.

The single rooms are just the same as those we have at our mine site, except there is an overpriced snack selection! We were told that our motorcycles could not be parked undercover, despite there being plenty of room and it rained very heavily overnight. When we were packing to leave, the managers walked passed, but did not acknowledge us at all. The laundry was unfinished and the light switch was not secure. The shower was hot though!

Mine accommodation

Absolutely horrible experience starting with rude receptionist - who pointed out my room was not actually in the motel buildings but a “donga” a temporary structure used in outback communities or on building sites.  No parking - I was told to park on the grass.  No real investment in providing good accomodation.  The second pillow was in a used limp pillowcase.  No hangar in closet - no plug for little sink - just unpleasant!!

Most unpleasant depressing experience.

The room has been renovated recently and they have done a great job.
Everything looks and feels clean.
Has toaster, large kettle, microwave, decent fridge big screen TV.
The bathroom is next level with huge walk in shower with hand nozzle ceiling fan with cooling & heating.
The bed is a cloud soft but great to sleep on

Great Overnight Stay, but would be great weekender

This is not a hotel. It's a Motel and if you are travelling as a single they will put you in a Donga out the back. There is no secure parking. Even though we arrived at advertised reception hours it was closed and we had to get our room key through a vending machine. While looking for somewhere secure to park our motorcycles, we were confronted by an aggressive grounds keeper who was very threatening. This was back up by a woman who we could only assume was the manager. She did not introduce herself or greet us as you would expect. We had expected a room as shown in photos with parking outside the door. The photos on TripAdvisor are out of date and even though the place has had a lick of paint it will never make up for the lack of hospitality 

Not a hotel

A Great hotel with excellent service. Jess on reception was awesome. Booked me a bus to races on the day of my stay. Close to main part of town but far enough away to be quiet. Room was great, clean with a modern bathroom. Highly recommend a stay here

Great place

The single room is a donga ie very basic worker accommodation and it was a long walk from the car park. The row of dongas is behind the original motel style rooms, the back of which is the view from the veranda. The view from the window is of the car park in the neighbouring shopping centre. 

It’s a Donga

Stayed 2 nights in the Superior Queen room, very comfortable, clean and modern. Staff friendly and helpful, even provided us with recommendations of places for meals. Will definitely book Luhana Motel for our next visit to Moruya.

Great motel, will be back!

This motel is immaculate, the room is tastefully renovated with the quality fixtures of a major chain 5 star hotel, it is well equipped for all your needs, the hostess was overly helpful, and made my stay feel easy, comfortable and assured. 

This will certainly be my go to motel when passing through Moruya again.
