Our first visit to Mt Buller and we couldn’t be happier! Jo + Frank make you feel at home and the warmth and practicality of the lodge meant our Ski trip was a very big success! An easy walk to the centre and great storage/drying room for our gear. We had so many important tips shared with us prior to arriving and we felt super organised! Packing light allowed us to enjoy the home and our room, we had the bathroom inside ours but I would recommend but the cleanliness of the shared bathroom as 10/10 so that’s also a great option! We all loved the communal kitchen and lounge room and was great to see families all getting along so well and sharing the TV while kids played games. Jo keeps the kitchen/dishes pretty much perfect at all times and was such a treat to have someone always happy to do the dishes!! Highly recommend for families of all ages xx

Mt Buller Family Lodge - Feels Like Home

Our family weekend to celebrate my significant birthday was fabulous! It is an absolute joy to stay at Amber Lodge. Owners Jo and Frank do everything in their power to ensure their guests are made to feel abundantly welcome. The lodge is meticulously presented; communal living area and kitchen is spotless, particularly well appointed, spacious and very comfortable. Rooms are also spotless, linen first class and the room heaters create a lovely coziness. Access to the village is easy, there is a free shuttle bus with pick up and drop off nearby, alternatively it’s a pleasant 10 min walk. Amber Lodge was a perfect choice for our multi generational weekend. Oldies, parents and kids all had a great time!! Thank you Jo and Frank!!!

Birthday with the extended family!

Jo, Frank, and Liam are the most beautiful people you ever find on the Mt Buller. They not only provide clean and warm accommodation but also go extra mile to help you out and save you. In our example, our car got trapped in thick snow, the Buller management did not get it out, but they did. What a bunch of amazing people. Highly recommend to anyone. Jenny & Richard

Very nice lodge at MtBuller Amber lodge.  Very nice and helpfull host Jo.
Rooms a bit small but very functional.  Cost seems ok.
    We booked thru Buller.com   Please do not book with Buller.com  as they put 40% on top of room cost.  Book directly with Amber for a reasonable and proper cost.

Stay at Amber Lodge MtBuller

Amber Lodge place is perfect for a stay in Mt Buller. The location was great. It’s literally a 5 minute walk to Mt Buller central. Jo and Frank has been an absolute great host. Friendly, warm and genuine. It’s our first time in the snow. They are very helpful. Even lend me a good pair walking boots and jacket so I’ll stay toasty while looking after my 3 daughters whilst they are in ski school. The place was really clean, comfortable, newly renovated and have everything you need. I would 100% recommend a stay here. Thank you Jo and Frank for your hospitality. Till our next visit. Great Accomodation and Amazing Hosts 

Had a great one night stay at Amber Lodge. Jo and Frank really have thought of everything! The newly renovated property is super clean, cosy and friendly. Plenty of storage space for bags as you arrive. No problem to change into gear and store bags before check in to get onto the slopes. Storage room for skis at the door and a drying room on the entry level makes it all very seamless. We stayed in a room with bunks that could sleep 5 people and had a ensuite. It was small but very comfortable. Ensuite was clean and had soap provided. We requested linen for $10 per person which was so crisp and clean. The kitchen was well appointed with everything you need; jug, coffee machine, microwave, range and stove top, large fridge, pots, pans, cutlery, crockery,chopping boards etc. Basics in case you didn’t bring them such as salt, pepper, sugar, coffee, peanut butter vegemite were on hand if required. Little touches of this kind of thoughtfulness throughout the stay made it welcoming and relaxing. The place was full but there was plenty of space in the communal area either on the lounge, in the reading nook, around the giant table or island bench. The kids enjoyed playing out the front in the snow as we readied to go ski or returned from the village. Thanks Jo and Frank for a great experience! Will be recommending Amber Lodge to all my friends and family.

Thought of everything 

I am not often one to go ahead a write a review, but for the Amber Lodge, it was truly an amazing experience and I felt the need to express that with everyone. I have stayed on the mountain before, but the Amber lodge honestly felt like home and I was so welcomed by both Jo and Frank! They are amazing people and it was such a great experience for me and my friends. Such a clean and well cared for environment will make the Amber Lodge my preferred accomodation, always. I cannot recommend this place enough, I loved it and It made my time on the mountain that much more pleasant.
