While not a modern unit, it was clean and spacious with the bedroom in a separate room. Everything you could wish for was provided. There is a nice outdoor area out the back for those who appreciate a bit of fresh air. The owner was more than helpful. I’d stay here again.

An Oldie but a Goodie

Very friendly and helpful staff!! The owner came and checked on me to ensure that I was ok or needed anything. 
The room: Very clean!! More room than I expected.
After a long drive the bed was comfortable,  I was very impressed!!
If I need to book a motel here in Mount Isa Queensland again,  this would be my first choice!!

A must stay here!!

It had been a long time (23+ years) since we last stayed at Copper Gate, but it is now our new, absolute  favourite place to stay in Mount Isa. The rooms are great; terrific value, spacious, clean and well stocked with quality extras. The managers Iris & Joe were very welcoming and helpful, and we are already looking forward to our next trip - we chose to go East just to stay at the Copper Gate again!

Simple exterior, wonderful interior!

You arrive , take one look and think what other accommodation is available - then you meet Dianna , she reads your mind and asks you to view the rooms. 
The rooms , we had 2 , are large, have a bedroom seperate to the living area, full sized fridge and are spotless. Air conditioning is great, and if I had to work from here i easily could.We will be keeping this as our go to in Mt Isa when we travel through.
Bed and pillows comfy, pool clean and refreshing , with pool towels supplied and laundry available if required. Also could recommend where to eat depending on your requirements. Many thanks Copper gate motel.

Don’t judge a book by its cover

Can’t say enough about Iris and Joe we broke down and RACQ booked us in here at midnight and Iris was there to meet us and look after us and make sure we’re okay in the next few days again couldn’t do enough for us really appreciated their hospitality and warmth and kindness! rooms absolutely spotless and well cared for, cannot recommend this Motel any higher please come and enjoy the warm, friendly hospitality that they display Steve and Sue

Excellent service

friendly family owned business.  the outside if this hotel does not do the inside any justice. the living room was large and comfy with a two setter lounge coffee table and cabinet with TV. large corner desk. kitchenette had toaster, kettle and microwave. small sink and big fridge freezer for a hotel. bed room with en suite, was also pretty big with lots of cupboard space.  it almost seemed like it was set up for long term stay, but you can not do your cooking there apart from microwaving. large back yard with pool. own off street parking.

I drove past, and agree, there is not much street appeal. But once I got inside, I was so happy. It is clean, tidy, comfortable, and perfect for staying in. I stayed 4 days and couldn't be happier. 

I took a dip in the pool... It was freezing! Just right for a hot day.

The  bathroom was very clean. The bed was gorgeous to sleep in. There was a great couch in the lounge area facing the large flat screen tv. There was even some coffee bags to make perfect coffee with.

I will certainly stay here again next time I'm in Isa

Very nice host, lovely 2 room unit with kitchenette, comfortable, modern furniture, good quality beds,both rooms air conditioned, tidy lawned area at back with a sparkling pool, well priced, would stay again

No street appeal but lovely inside

As previously said dont be fooled by outside appearances . This is a great small motel. Nothing small about the rooms Comfortable and fitted out very well Large fridge . micro wave and toaster Very comfortable bed and quiet. The whole place is very clean Shower good. Host Iris gave us all the info we needed.and the price was very fair considering it was The Rodeo weekend.Definatly recommend.

Wonderful Motel

What a lovely little place. Don't be fooled by outside appearances. What you find inside is a well maintained spacious room at a fair price. The service is great. Would definitely stay here again if we are passing through.
