This little gem was a great surprise for a lovely lunch on the balcony with our dogs. Food was tasty, homemade and fresh and very reasonably priced. The chef even came out and fed the dogs some treats. Would recommend it to anybody traveling through. We are planning to come back again and spending a few nights in this cozy, welcoming very friendly hotel.

A wonderful local gem

Great location , good parking. quiet at night making if great for a good night’s sleep.
The staff on reception are excellent, very attentive, and very friendly. We paid for the “Big Breakfast”, and it is BIG, was just amazing one of the best we have ever had.
Its Old-world charm is second to none. The room was basic but very clean and the bedding was excellent. Make sure you have a wonder around this Old Hotel its just charming and you don’t see this old-world charm much anymore. Can definitely recommend staying there as we would if in the area again.


Fabulous stay  and what a Gem this place is

It was a last minute getaway to the mountains for some bushwalking and the Mt Vic Flicks.  Lucky to get the last room in the charming old V & A guesthouse.  What a cosy place!  And the service - friendly and delightful.  Thank you Josie for looking after us so well.  And our dinner in the V & A restaurant was superb.  Chef Derek is passionate about serving quality food.  Our stay was only for the weekend, it was great, and we'll be back.  Regards, Scott & Gui 

Ticks all the boxes in the mountains

My husband and I stayed at the Guest House and attended Yulfest. We had an amazing time. Food delicious entertainment fantastic staff great a special mention to Josie who steers the ship. The Building has been transformed into a beautiful grand lady. Beds are so comfortable. We booked one night stayed for two and already planning our next visit.

What a find !!

Charming, comfortable and very welcoming. Couldn’t really ask for any more. Bed was soooo comfortable, dinner was lovely and breakfast was a major bonus. The reviews about this place are spot on… and can’t finish without mentioning the lovely staff, talk about friendly! Would certainly recommend.

Charm, comfort and a perfect base for a stay in the Blue Mountains.

Came up for an event in Leura and stayed here at this glorious old property. Renovations are looking good and we had a complimentary breakfast too. Hosts were really lovely. Recommend this for a relaxing stay.

Relaxed night in a glorious guesthouse.

An old and interesting building. The look and feel has been kept authentic to it’s era. The rooms are clean with all the bits and pieces you need. Comfy beds and nice linen. There are several shared spaces set up with lounges, tea and coffee facilities making it a really social place which I found a nice change to staying in my room the entire time. The breakfast’s and dinners were delicious and generous. But the heroes of this place is the staff. We stayed as a large group so had several rooms booked. Nothing was a problem, super accommodating to requests, checked up on us - they were just great. I’ll be staying there again.

Very charming and historic place. Fantastic hosts- we’ve never felt so at home & welcomed like we were at Victoria & Albert Guesthouse. Josie & Derek were next level in their costumer service. They both spoiled the kids and really made us all feel at home. 
Derek’s amazing meals in the lovely warm restaurant with a fireplace was superb. 
Josie was there for anything we needed and we had many great conversations & laughs! 
Brekky in the beautiful breakfast room was the kids favourite! There are so many things the kids will remember about staying here.
We can’t wait for our next stay!

Faultless

My wife and I celebrated our 56th Wedding Anniversary at the Victoria and Albert Guest House in Mt Victoria and it was wonderful. The accommodation was perfect and the food was excellent. It included a hot breakfast and we had dinner there for our anniversary and then the 2nd night had friends join us for dinner. The staff, especially Wayne and Derrick, were so attentive, friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The atmosphere and décor is so lovely and old fashioned we just loved it. Highly recommend it.

A Wonderful Experience

At the time of writing , this charming historic guest house is clawing its way out of covid and back into the sun.
The highlight for me was Derrick. His energy and good humoured candour explained the fascinating history and opportunitys this amazing place is currently going through. He is an ideal host for this type of old world place. later that night he expertly waited and chefed single-handedly . 

The meals were very, very, very good. 
Such high quality well prepared and presented meals was a contast to his candid humility,  I would highly recommend including meals in your stay. Do say hi to Derrick, his approachable nature and kind spirt is refreshing and healing. In such a short time he has rekindled my faith in humanity. Thankyou
