The location is fantastic and the managers were very nice. The rooms were a bit dated - especially the bathroom, but it is clean and the bed comfy. It was pretty quiet the night we stayed (Sunday night), I do wonder though how quiet it would have been if it were full, as I could here people moving about in the night / morning. 
Parking was easy. Just a 1 night stay - I would certainly stay again if I am travelling through

Good, standard motor-inn feel

Great Location and Comfortable Beds. We booked at the last minute and this was one of the only places with a room left, and we were not disappointed at all. Room, while older decor, was spotlessly clean and the beds so comfortable too. We checked in late (9pm) so parking near our room wasn’t available and we parked on the street after unloading our things & our sleeping toddler, not a big deal for us as we were in one of the front rooms but might be an issue if you were in one of the far rooms. Heating worked well and hotel was super quiet.

Clean and Comfortable hotel

Wanderlight is one of the best authentic Aussie motels. Sure the rooms could do with a refurb but they are spacious & spotlessly clean, great value for money. Added bonus is The Courthouse Hotel next door is a cosy pub, staff so friendly and fabulous pub grub!!

Fabulous, authentic Aussie motel

We have stayed here several times and always enjoyed ourselves. Although a 70’s vintage motel, it has been very well maintained. Spacious bedroom with queen and single beds( good to put luggage on) and very comfortable. Old style but adequate bathroom. Lots of off street parking. Very friendly and helpful staff. Easy walking distance to lovely Robertson and Lawson parks and cafe/restaurant precinct. Always good value,,

Comfortable old style motel

Perfectly fine for an overnight stay. Welcoming staff that were very accommodating last minute, comfortable beds and clean warm room. Good location within the centre of Mudgee. Flexible with amenities close by. 

Comfortable Stay

The wanderlight motor inn is well located in Mudgee.
Right next door to the Courthouse Hotel which is a
quality pub/hotel in Mudgee.
The rooms are spacious and fit for purpose. Probably in 
need of a refurb in the next few years but still a good 
place to stay when in Mudgee

Work Trip

Dated but spacious and clean.  Pleasant and helpful hosts.  The rooms are poorly soundproofed - could hear a screaming child quite clearly and muffled conversation.  Convenient position for a stroll into Mudgee town centre and a pub next door which offers a decent menu.  We didn’t use the in-house restaurant at this motel.

The rooms are large and quiet which is nice even if decor is very dated. Staff helpful and the location in town is ideal. Some lovely parks nearby including a sculpture garden. Some very good cafes etc nearby for breakfast and dinner. 

A great location

This motel was recommended by the Visitors Centre. It is well located a short work from the town centre.
We had a family room which will sleep 6 but if you've got two adults and 3 children the children can be corralled into their own room. 
It had all the usual things, TV with cable, A/C, tea and coffee plus a microwave and a toaster making feeding a family just a bit easier. 
Decor was rudimentary but clean, there were plenty of power points for charging the multitude of electronic devices a family will have.
The double bed was ok. It has perhaps seen better days but was acceptable. 
The wifi is what let the place down. If you're travelling with a family be prepared for a chorus of kids complaining about the dropouts and slowness (or is than an NBN thing?)
The staff were friendly and super quick to make up our room, we went out for a morning walk and when we returned the room had been made up. Impressive.

Bit of a mixed bag in the end.

If only the Wifi was better.

We moved here from the Comfort Inn as that hotel was very unfriendly on arrival no allowing us to check in one hour early despite a 6 hour drive. The Wanderlight has lovely high ceilings and rooms set back off the road. It was very clean and all staff helpful and friendly. It's also walking distance to town and there's a great little coffee shop just around the corner. Beds very comfortable and instant very hot water in the shower.
