Fabulous every time food amazing. The young man serving at the bar is exceptional and an asset to  the business. Today Saturday a very kind and greet experience for my Dad. Thank you. 5 starts. We love our visits here.Always  get a park at the front too.

Yes quality dining downstairs however accommodation area upstairs is outdated and neglected , inside our room cockroaches coming out of bar fridge , missing tv remote ( staff member  promptly delivered another)  , unwashed coffee mugs from previous guests in our room  , very loud music below us until 12pm when this was Thursday , no curtains or blinds over the  window facing street so room was illuminated right through night .

Unclean and many other faults

DO NOT ORDER THE GNOCCI WITH PEAS!! Absolutely gross and oily and bland. No sauce just oil and for $25 dollars appalling. I ordered it today and won't go back to this place again. Gnocci was bland, but with no sauce only oil tasted deep fried and only 8 pieces of gnocci

Went here for lunch with the Mrs, New Renovations look great, this place now has a good vibe and the food is really good. We both had the southern fried chicken burger and have to say it was outstanding. 

Best Chicken Burger In Newcastle

Went to the newly refurbished Jeso hotel for dinner with friends.  What a great upgrade.  Everything has been done just right.  The atmosphere is welcoming.  So much room.  Food was spot on.  So much to choose from.  Would definitely recommend.

Great meal

 Suited for lunch. Only in Newcastle for the weekend and accommodation was close. Bright natural light in the bistro with friendly staff. The meals were quick to table and delicious. My wife had battered flathead and it was clearly beautifully fresh fish. I had a southern fried chicken burger which was moist chicken cooked perfectly in crispy skin and just yummy pickles and slaw. Beer was ironbark. 

Thanked the chef on the way out.

Brilliant burgers and great beer

I had pretty low expectations as I haven’t had a good pub feed for a while. The food here was stellar - huge, generous portions and fantastic fried chicken. The service was excellent - if you’re looking for a great, filling meal in Newcastle, here’s your place!

Absolutely stellar pub meal

In Newcastle for a working weekend, staying just across the road from the hotel so thought we'd give it a try.  The staff very friendly and helpful, plenty of choice on the menu. Chose the battered flat head with chat potatoes and coleslaw. Didn't have to wait very long even though they were very busy.  The flathead was delicious and the chat potatoes were good although a little salty but the coleslaw was very disappointing as it was loaded with onion which was all you could taste. For desert chose the sticky date pudding lovely thank you, Will definitely be back new time we're working in Newcastle but will steer of the slaw. 

Great place for an enjoyable dinner

Lunch at the former Hall's Haven Hotel was never like this. The latest iteration of this Jesmond landmark is as a modern, clean-lined but warm and friendly place to spend a few hours over a long lunch. It has plenty of tables, a good menu, prices typical of a modern Newcastle gastro-pub and happy-friendly staff. The pork ribs, salmon and gnocchi dishes brought to our table, with prompt efficiency, were tasty and well presented. Servings are not huge, but adequate.
