Went to the club with my sister and the smell was horrendous and there was a ton of smoke and fog in the air that literally hurt my throat and lungs. I do not recommend. Hate to say it but let me down big time Cambridge.

TERRIBLE

Plenty of good things about this venue, but the ladies bathrooms felt like going to prison. 
Entry Security were polite and efficient. The bars, DJs and live acts were all pretty good. 
Even the smoking area was ok. 
The bar staff were great, and the drink prices pretty reasonable.
But I swear those bathrooms are some of the very worst I’ve ever seen, Asia included. 
The young women of Newcastle deserve better than black walls & a concrete trough with plumbing that is deliberately ugly and possibly illegal.

Took a group of interstate visitors here for a great night of good live music with different musicians. We had a ball. Definitely a place to go for good music especially little known international artists that are touring Australia. And quick friendly bar service.

Great live music in a fairly average pub, take away the music and not much left. Typical pub food, ie burgers are ok. Prices are reasonable and service ok as well. Backpacker style accommodation upstairs, not sure about the noise.

My partner and I attended a concert here Friday, December 11th, and being from the Central Coast, we were pleasantly surprised. This was the first time we attended the venue. All the staff members went out of their way to help us with venue information and queries and were just friendly overall.

We felt quite safe in this venue throughout the entire experience, which in this day and age at 18+ concerts, is quite rare for people like us who don't consume alcohol.

The venue was well equipped with security for the concert, however the audience (of ages 18 to mid 60s) was so well behaved, they didn't even need to act which was a fantastic sight so we could actually enjoy what we were there for: the music.

The food side of the Cambridge was an award winning burger bar. We saw the food looked very impressive when we saw it being delivered to other people's tables, fresh and rustic. If we had of had more time, we would have got one ourselves, but we will definitely get one next time.

There is a small patrons carpark to the side of the hotel which holds about 25 cars. Also nearby to the local train station and buses that go past the area often.

The only criticism we have is that the female bathrooms next to the entry to the Glasshouse could be improved as the bathroom doors were too short not giving enough privacy, and the taps were falling apart. The positives were that soap and paper towel were provided.

To people from the Central Coast who want to see a band touring at both Sydney and Newcastle, but you don't want to travel to Sydney, I highly recommend this venue as a great, smaller alternative.

Amazing live music venue with helpful staff.

A classic mid range music venue with decent sound. My pals had the burgers which are supposed to be some of the best in town. And reported them to be tasty enough. They serve a good range of beers and draft. cider. . There is a large smoking area which is glassed so you can see the bands whilst being outside. Very dark dive bar vibe in the venue. Late curfew and plenty of taxis outside. Not sure how much sleep you would get if you stayed there.

Good live music venue with burgers.

Went here in July to watch Dan Sultan and Stonefield with a group of friends. The atmosphere was friendly and upbeat. Great friendly staff. 
Great pub venue, good vibe.
It was like the old days, back in the 80s!! 
Will definitely be back to see more music.
