This place needs knocking down. A regurgitated mouse, cockroaches, mould in the fridge poorly lit and dated electrics that could probable kill. Walked in and ran out within five minutes. The only good part was a speedy refund. DO NOT GO!!!

Hotel Nightmare

I really don’t like to write such bad reviews but I have been absolutely disgusted and shocked how terrible this hotel is. Our adult family members stayed in 2 rooms and both rooms were equally horrendous. I walked into our room on the first night to instantly see a very distasteful stain on our doona cover which straight away made me want to run. It only got worse from there. My husband went to put our soap in the shower to find an old used cake of soap and a used razor blade sitting in the shower, black mould on the ceiling and windows and an awful sewerage smell in the bathroom that never left. There are cockroaches and bugs crawling around everywhere including in the microwave, mosquitos galore which left us with bites over us when we woke up in the morning. It is a very old and dated place which is fine, but it has been left to rundown. The biggest concern for me was the lack of a smoke detector in our room. It was like a lot of other broken items in the rooms which had broken and never bothered to be repaired. The only positive were the friendly staff who were very helpful. It has been an experience staying here and one that has been burnt into my memory.

Eco - hell

This motel was built in the 1950's and hasn't been improved since.  Very old fashion and run down.  We had a real problem with cochroaches.  Millions of them!!!, after lights went out, they ran up walls, over the bed (and us) A very uncomfortable feeling. The bathroom door wouldn't close, after years of neglect, the door had swelled and wouldn't go into the door jam. The 'Motel' neon light  in front wasn't working, which meant that at night you couldn't see where to turn off to drive into the motel. I didn't want to give  it a rating because it doesn't deserve one.

Unbelievably bad place to stay.

My husband and I stayed for a month last year and really enjoyed it.  A bit oldfashioned as some have said but we liked that about it.  It is close to everything. Shops, beaches, lovely drives and walks.  The staff were very helpful. The room was big with all the necessary amenities. I can't think of anything to complain about. I might add that we have stayed in hotels all over the world  and though it may not look flash like many we have been to we enjoyed it more than most. If it wasn't for the coronavirus situation we would be there now.

Reception allegedly open till 8pm, there was never anyone there. There was a ring bell sign yet no bell to be rang.
The bathroom smelled like sewage for the whole 4 days we stayed there, when finally managed to speak to someone they lied to our face saying the problem had been fixed, yet it did not. 
Any portaloo smells way better than that bathroom. Disgusting 

And the customer service also very poor. I personally have over 15 years experience in this area and was appealed by them.

Was living here for awhile with my partner had so many issues it wasnt funny... the room we stayed in unit 2 when we moved in smelt mouldy and wet the bathroom sink leaked water drain wasnt fixed correctly the water goes extremely hot or extremely cold in the middle of a shower the heater on the wall obviously been maintained or inspected in a long time as it caught on fire 🔥 , we also had problems with the lady in unit 4 who seemed to have different rules to everyone else in the complex i had been told  to have my dog on a lead when outside which i always did one morning when i took my dog out the lady from unit 4 was no where to be seen and her dog was wondering and harassing my beautiful placid dog and then bit her on  the face because she grunted at it because it would not get out of her face !Police always seemed to be in the complex also  started to get so bad my partner and i left as soon as we could  i  would not recommend to anyone if i could id give this place 0 stars if it were possible just seemed like everyone there wanted to start fights its not a well ran business at all honestly surprised its still in business ..

Dont bother staying here ..

We just wanted a cheap bed for the night, The accommodation was Clean and tidy with a toaster, kettle tea and coffee, comfy bed easy check in/check out easy parking. lovely grounds, great value!!! for under $100  would stay again for sure!

Clean and Tidy

The Motel describes itself as “Ecological Accommodation”. That may be the case but maybe it should be “Economical Accommodation”. 
The room was on the spacious side with a King Sized (comfortable, including linen) bed and two single beds. There was a TV and microwave as well as a large wardrobe, table and three chairs, a sink, cutlery and crockery. There was a jug, mugs and glasses. 
The bathroom was of an old design and with a lack of hanging space. There was no shower curtain or door which meant the bathroom floor got wet whenever the shower was used. There was plenty of hot water and the pressure was good.
The bedroom/living room needed some TLC. New curtains, the current ones hardly covered the windows. The window winders did not work properly, although all the windows had protective insect screens. There was no air conditioning although a floor fan was provided which worked well. Heating is by means of a bar radiator and three blankets. The carpet needed cleaning and the glasses and mugs appeared to have been only rinsed.
You get what you pay for these days and at $88 per night I suppose I got what I payed for. Cheap? Definitely. Worth the money? Probably. Recommended? As a last resort.

Needs work

this was the second time my family stayed here. The service from the reception staff was flawless and incredibly helpful with giving local advise on the area and its stunning features. We stayed in September 2017 and then again in January 2018 and the work and upgrading of the facility was obvious. I would describe this as a friendly - almost farm like - atmosphere where there is nothing too big or too small for the staff to assist you with. We missed our check in time by 3.5 hours and they were incredibly generous in assisting my family with our particular situation. Linen was spotless - light refreshing colours and the towels soft, fluffy and comfortable. Plenty of hot water and extra blankets/pillows etc. The fridge was spotless (quite often places have a build up of grot in the joins or the door well - but not here!) The plates/crockery/cups/glasses/cutlery were modern, no chips or cracks and very clean - as too was the dish washing cloth and tea towel. My family and I will stay here over and over again - as well as be recommending it to all our extended family, friends and any one else who ever mentions staying in or near Narooma!

This is The WORST place we have ever stayed in. I would've given it no stars, but it wouldn't let me do that. 

Let me list the features of our 'family' room:

Ants throughout the cupboards and on the floor

Weird beetle things that crawl out from under the mould infested bathroom fittings

No airflow nor air conditioning for days over 30 degrees Celsius- so the small airless room is actually hotter inside than outside. 

Piles of rubbish lying around the 'resort' - including rotting debris adjacent to the bins (as if they hadn't been emptied in a long time) - lovely for the snakes to live in! 

The pool which was only 'cleaned' two weeks ago still appears to not be clean as my toddler now has a fungal rash on her torso.

The 'wildlife' that lives around the doors, windows and anywhere spider webs accumulate and also likes to come inside (I found a white tail spider in the bed that the toddler was about to sleep in) 

Rat sac - that's highly poisonous rodent poison pellets - in lowest cupboards easily accessible by a curious toddler who said 'lollies' as she pulled it out all over herself and the floor, all whilst I went to the toilet for one second. 

The Ecotel Narooma is a filthy excuse of a resort that is DANGEROUS. My daughter could've been killed by the RatSac. The excuse offered was ' a previous tenant must've left it there' and we were given 2 free coffee vouchers. Is that the going rate for my child's life?!!

Here's what I think Ecotel Narooma - clean your rooms properly and this wouldn't have happened! 

This place needs to be SHUT DOWN immediately!
