The cottage was a delight, arriving to wood fire burning and a smile to let us in. Cottage is a lot bigger than we thought and very warm and cosy. Super clean and comfortable. I will stay again and highly recommend for anyone. Great for couples and family's.

Such a sweet place

Beautifully restored 1830's cottage, cosy fires with plenty of logs available to keep them going. Snuggly bed with electric blankets and a good variety of breakfast provisions. No wifi or phone connection (if you are on Optus - Telstra seemed OK) so perfect to really get away from it all. Visitor wifi is available just a couple of doors up at the Callington Mill. Enjoyable walks in the area and a fascinating antique shop up the road.

Lovely old world cottage

Only one night but a wonderful experience, fully equipped clean house for 4 people though we were only two,all the furniture is from the past plus the modern equipment such as the cooker is secreted away to provide an ambiance from the 1930'sHighly recommended for a short stay.

A blast from the past!

Looks like a small cottage,but ample room for a famiy, mum and dad and 2 kids staying there. Handy proximinity to Launceston or Hobart with about an hours drive in either direction. Plenty eateries in town,if you can catch them open. Recommend the pancake shop-very hospitable and yummy fresh food made on premise.
The cottage-off street parking, clothes line, washing machine, small kitchen with everything you need for an escape. Fireplace in winter with ample wood provided, very comfy beds-we used the single beds,but comfortable and fresh. The place doesn't look to have mod cons when you first step inside,but they are just hidden away  to keep the more authentic look of the cottage alive and it does. Could easily stay there again. Plenty of options in regards to the continental breakfast left there for your choice.
walking distance to some of the main attractions around this quaint town too.

A pleasant surprise

We stayed for one night & were delighted to find two open fires blazing & good electric blankets on our bed. In fact, we had our best sleep of the trip here. It was an excellent location & we felt as though we had gone back in time without sacrificing comfort.
