326 south beach apartments. 
Unit 5 is a small cosy number, even if a little dated. You will be very happy with its adequate appointments including a cute outdoor sitting area perfect for street watching and alfresco meals.  It is located with walking distance of all the cafes south terrace has to offer and also South Beach. We stayed for 2 nights and only left due to inadequate internet services. Whilst the property manager advertises the unit/s as having internet, in reality unit 5 relies on being able to use the internet from the unit above.  We were unable to run our business, send emails, use streaming platforms or open webpages. A telstra ping test taken in the apartment revealed download range speeds of 3mbps & 12mbps and 0.4 upload speed with mobile phone 4g ping test revealing speeds of 1.9mbps download and 0.3 upload. Though we did communicate our need for fast internet when booking it seems that this was not adequately understood by the manager Mary Callan. Mary kindly refunded us the remaining nights we couldn’t stay due to this hiccup as she said she has always refunded guests during covid. She was apologetic for the upset. We were sad to leave this cute little spot in South Freo.  When booking these units be sure to ask for a unit with its own modem and request a ping test if basic internet is important to you.

Internet woes

I stayed at two of these apartments. Both were awesome. The location and ease of check in and check out were great. Mary let me check in a couple hours early both times. The apartments are equipped with everything you would need. The first time I stayed with them Mary was concerned that they may be doing construction at one of the units. She called me the day before and gave me three options in the same area as she was worried that it might be noisy for a few hours one of the days. The choices she gave me were all a huge upgrade of the apartment that I was meant to be in which still looked great from the pictures. I will continue to stay with Callan apartments when visiting Fremantle. 

Awesome apartments

Our studio apartment was spacious, clean and very well equipped for self catering travel. This made our stay comfortable and convenient. Booking and check in was very straight forward. Thanks to the admin staff who were friendly and flexible to our requests. Close to the city for easy access. Highly recommended.

Great base to stay in Fremantle 

We stayed in Studio 305 for 4 nights in early March 2019. It was clean, comfortable and very convenient to walk down the hill into town. The studio was well equipped with everything you need and in addition there was a washing machine and tumble dryer which we were not expecting. The washer worked fine but the dryer not so good. I couldn’t gait to complete a cycle. There was a great view from the window over the harbour.  

If you pay for this property with a credit card BEWARE they take a chunk of commission!  It’s 2% and it can come to a significant amount. 

Apart from that though we had a very pleasant time there.

A comfortable place to stay in Fremantle

My daughter and I stayed in a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom townhouse in the Callan apartment in the Be Complex on Mews Rd Fremantle.
The apartment has views of the Marina from 2 of the bedrooms and the lounge room. The spectacular sunsets are mesmerising.
The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and laundry facilities as well as bikes to use. 
The apartment and bedrooms are spacious and each bedroom has a desk and lamp. 
The beds are comfortable and the apartments are in a quiet area so it is way to sleep. 
We had a couple of small issues which were addressed very promptly by Callan staff. 
We loved our stay here and recommend it highly.

Stunning townhouse in Be Fremantle Complex with amazing views 

We stayed 3 nights in our apartment. It was a ground floor room in a large apartment complex. Lots of noise from other apartments. Close to one of the free CAT bus routes and also a comfortable walk into town.

Average accomodation in Fremantle

We stayed at Callan apartments for a weekend getaway. Its a pleasant walk into Fremantle to restaurants, cafes and all the sites etc. Close enough to walk yet far enough to be away from the noise that can be present among the night life.
On arrival in the evening we were a little worried as, the apartment complex looks a little dingy from the exterior and clearly has a mix of owner/occupier, short and long term rental tenants. It probably wouldn't suite you if you like your hotel luxury from an arrival perspective, which for us is fine and clearly they do not position the product in this way.
Once inside, loved it! Modern furnishings, a lovely view from the window across Fremantle with the ocean in the distance. The place has clearly been renovated and done very tastefully. Its an affordable weekend getaway, with the convenience of a kitchen to prepare your own meals if you prefer.
Easy and polite communication with the owner to arrange access and to answer any questions.
