What a fabulous motel, friendly pleasant owners lovely room and great breakfast . Rooms were great and clean and very quiet. The grounds were clean and tidy and be autiful gardens located on an easy to find location away from the busy traffic

Great motel

We had problems locating the motel as it was Acacia Ridge Motor Inn when we booked. It was obviously sold to Discovery Parks recently. This is a huge facility comprising caravan park, camping grounds & motel rooms.

The rooms had undergone renovation & were pleasantly furnished, were clean, & with effective air conditioning & strong showers with hot water.

Room facilities include a fridge, microwave, toaster, iron, ironing board, tea/coffee, crockery.

We had a very comfortable stay, with 2 double beds in our room.

There is a communal kitchen on site. We took a short drive to Ians Best Western Hotel for good pub food.

Comfortable Stay

We were greeted by Marie who was welcoming and helpful. Our room was large and well equiped with table and chairs, microwave, hair drier and plenty of bench space. There were plenty of easy to access power points. The bathroom also has a long bench on which to put toiletries. Pleasantly surprised to have a room with bright conveniently placed lighting. The room was well planned for a pleasant stay. Excellent value for money. 
Still the usual problem, only a place to put one suitcase in a room for two. My case is again on the floor.

Located off the highway, across the bridge from the centre of town. 
Easy 10 minute walk across the bridge to town centre, passing a couple of pubs on the way,
Rooms are ground level, parking in front of room but a bit cramped, especially when busy, as it was during our stay.
Owner was welcoming and helpful.
Renovated rooms are clean and adequate for an overnight stay.

Well located basic, older style motel

On arriving we found the gates closed and a notice saying to enter and check in via the adjoining Discovery Parks.  On entering our room it was clean bit very dated.  We discovered that the Discovery Park had taken over the motel and it seems they don't look after it.  The rooms are only serviced once every 7 days.  There are no dining facilities and if we want breakfast we would have to pay $16 each for a continental.  A nearby hotel/motel gave us a cooked breakfast for $12.50.  We had booked with the original owners and the take over was after that and before our arrival.  We felt the least they could have done is advised us of the change and allow us to book elsewhere.  The original booking was made with a motel providing dining and breakfasts but we didn't get this yet paid the same price.
The room was small and the bathroom, although clean, was in need of some updating.  Poor ventilation, poorly marked parking and a gerneral feel of abandonment.
Would we stay there again? No way.  Could we recommend this establishment? Never.
